Dollar General ripoff

Today 12-21-2016 was in whitney point ny store hitting all the sales, very upset bc I purchased 2 bags of lays family size pot chips and didnt get the sale price ended up paying full price sale should of been 2 bags for 4 dollars not 3, 50 a bag I did call store spoke to a ester she was nice said I had to come in to get a refund with xmas few days away I dont have time to go back in to town to get my money back iam a busy parent and this is bs they told me none of the sale prices came up so paying full price grrrrrrrrrrrrr I ended up paying 7 bucks for sale chips, sad part this is not the first time this happened at this store I say some one not doing there job mfs and I decided if this keeps up we r not gonna shop there no more, please get back to me or iam done fix the prices please thank you store # 06436 may be instead of me going bk to store u can refund me! Be happy to accept a check

Dollar General management at dollar general in hulbert oklahoma

Went to the store on 12-18-16 at 5:30 pm. There was 3 boys their, 1 was working the register, the other 2 was doing absolutely nothing, and there was about 10 people standing in line to check out. The store manager ( I believe her name is Echo) is absolutely not qualified to manage a store, plus she is very lazy and irresponsible . The store is very cluttered and messy. Your manager doesn't show up to open the store on time. if this was my store I would fire Echo and find me a manager that has some kind of work ethic and or some kind of management education.

Dollar General shelves not stocked for months horrible to shop there!

The Dollar General Store located in Fowler, Indiana is the worst Dollar General Store I have ever seen! The shelves have been empty for months which is ridiculous! A person can't find one thing they need period! Expired products left on shelves, yet when a truck comes in those items are left in back. Most people in the area go to different store out of County because they know those Dollar General stores will be stocked. Amazing to think 3 registers but yet people can be lined up to back to try to get checked out because only one register works or I should say they will open only one. I don't even see the point why they have a store here in Fowler as it is of NO use and to think it was just built a few years ago. I don't know who the District Manager is or one of above but obviously he/ she don't know what their doing.

Dollar General treated badly by manager

12/11/16 I went in the dollar general on Columbia Ave in Sheffield ala and had bought some gain dryer sheets and washing liquid well I had a coupon for the gain and done two different transaction 1st one went fine no problem. I did second one before I could pay the manager started hollering at me I was committing fraud, and was trying to take stuff out of my bag from 1st transaction not to mention the place was packed I have never been so humiliated in my life.

Dollar General store manager

I am not sure of the man's name but he is the head store manager at dollar general in bad axe, michigan. Tall, skinny, blonde hair, and rude! I shop at dollar general several times a week and it has been several times that the store manager was very rude and even went to the extent of saying rude things and threatening me of not being aloud in the store. This is the store I shop at for my babies diapers because they are so cheap! I will go on to continue about the various occasions where he was very disrespectful and mean . He has made m cry several times leaving his store .

1) I was returning clothing I had bought the day before (not even24 hours before) *with reciept** one pair of pants had been missing a tag(he says) but i insisted I had put the tag in the bag he must have dropped it, he then said "dude i dont have your stupid tag, you can look yourself!" (Rude loud voice) ... I've always been nice to the store manager so I don't know why I always get such attitude...but I told him "I'm sorry but I made sure it was in the bag before i came in" ... so he said he would not return it. BEfore all of thIS when I had first walked in the store to return my bag of clothes he looked at me funny /annoyed.((Just as he always looks at me when I walk in)) might i add it just seems like the manager of the store does not like his job otherwise I believe he would be more accomadtaing to his customers. My friends have had problems with him as well.

2) just last week I went in dollar general like I do every week to get house hold items or diapers and while checking out at the cash register the i asked the store manager "How is your day?" Just trying to be friendly, he then replied "Don't worry about it, it's none of your business." (In a rude voice) ...I did not reply.

3) today on 12/10/2016 I visited dollar general to get my 18 month old her diapers.. .when I got to the register the store manager told me "I told you before not to park in front of the store, I get yelled at every time and it's not a parking spot. The next time you park there I will not allow you to shop here. "

I then said " you told me before I could park in front of The store just further down not by the door." I also said "your always rude to me and I am going to be complaining about you "

Store manager said "no I told you, you could not park there and don't come back to this store you are not allowed to shop here any more"

I said after as I walked out and stood outside
" you are not suppose to be so rude to your customers, you are an as*hole."

I apologize for my poor language I am just so sick of being treated rudely by this man.

Please do something about it! It is very apparent he does not like his job or value his customers. Which I believe every manager should love their job and serving their customers.

These are not the only times he has made me feel sad or disrespected ...I really hope to hear from someone soon. Thank you.

***If checked on the cameras I did not park by the doors at all I parked very far down at the end of the side walk . I only parked there and have parked there a couple times because I have a bad back and I just run in and out for diapers. ***

Dollar General service

I went into dollar general and yes it was last minute but I still had 10 minutes before they were closing the guy that rang me up tonight did not look happy to be there did not say one word to me until I asked if I could grab one more thing to add to my purchase mind you it didn't even take me a minute to grab the one thing I came in for powdered sugar he told me I couldn't and got huffy with me rolling his eyes and said we are closed so i said to him it's not even 8 and the doors were unlocked still that's why I came in but he told me I couldn't grab another item to add to my purchase I've worked in retail my whole life and I know that I would never treat a customer that way even if it was a few minutes after closing he was just plain out rude and was even snotty before I asked to grab another item real quick so I just left so the cashier you had working tonight made it so I never want to shop in the bad axe dollar general again

Dollar General rude and unprofessional sign

I was at the dollar general store in Greenbrier, TN when I saw a sign that was just rude an very unprofessional. I find attitudes like this uncalled for. It made me and my son feel as if they were accusing me and all customers of shoplifting. I mean this is the Christmas season. I know that there are shoplifters out there but they are on the only ones being hit by this but are the only ones that I have seen with such an unprofessional approach to it. My family will not be going back to this store.

Dollar General unfriendly service

I went into 'our' store about a week ago after not coming for several weeks.
I was shocked to see that not only had things been completely moved around (so I no longer knew where anything was), but a completely new set of employees. What happened to the local folks that originally ran the place that everyone knew and were so friendly?
The ladies that were working that afternoon were extremely unfriendly, unhelpful, and acted like they just didn't want to be there.
They are get a annoyed with using coupons - the previous folks were always willing to help you out. No longer.
I will no longer shop there even in an emergency until I hear things have changed.

I work at the Dollar General in Madisonville Tn and the manager there is rude to our customers! All she wants to do is to keep the store looking emaculate and perfectly clean. There is nothing wrong with cleanliness but I always thought that the customers came first and you don't have to be rude to them just because you think you have SOOOO much to do. The customers WILL NOT come back if you are rude to them!

Dollar General everpet wet cat food

It appears the everpet wet cat food from dollar general played a significant role in the death of my beloved cat. He was just 7 years old, in good health. I fed him science diet cat food for all his years, no issues. On the 6th year of his life, i started adding the everpet wet cat food to his diet, in addition to the science diet food. What i know now, my cat developed a rash on his neck, due to a reaction to the fillers used in the everpet food. I thought the rash was from fleas, and treated him for fleas, which i never saw or felt myself. My beloved cat, my companion, my friend of 7 years, died very suddenly, a few short weeks after the rash developed, from cardiomyopathy, which is basically a fatty heart, in addition to sudden liver failure, which was observed just hours before he died. Given the way it all went down, the speed of the decline, and the timing of all of the factors, i feel very certain that feeding him the everpet wet cat food was a strong factor in the death of my pet. He ate maybe 50 cans of the stuff, over the course of his 6th year of life. He had been a healthy active housecat, until he suddenly became very sick, and died. The hurt i feel, and the shame i have for feeding him a lower-quality cat food such as everpet, how can i feel good ever again? Ii never researched the food before i started feeding it to my cat. I am very sure these other negative reviews of the product would have changed my mind about feeding him this food, and i never would have bought it. And most likely i would be having my loving companion at my side at this moment, instead of heavily crying over my devastating loss. Not worth the chance, folks, trust me on this.

Dollar General called the store to see if they had a certain product

I called the dollar store in Jackson co., Tn. To see if they had a certain product and the employee that answered immediately and said no they didn't. When I went to see if they did have it or not, I found what I called about so the employee that I talked to lied, she didn't even check, and she is very rude not helpful at all. The other employees are friendly.

Dollar General refused my grandchildren from using the restroom

Store# 7703 niceville Fl
On November 13 entered the store to pick up a few items and my grandchildren needed to use the restroom. I ask the cashier who was on her phone (she appeared to be texting) told me both bathrooms were broken and just continue texting I said I can't believe both are broken and as she continued to text said "yes" both are broken, I ask for the store# and advised her that I was submitting a complaint. She just continued looking at her phone and said go ahead. I left without making my purchases.

Dollar General dollar general manager - brian 914 euharlee road cartersville, ga

Brian- would not tell me his last name- was rude with me- purchased a set of girls pants which were hung together- he took them apart to ring them separate- not priced individual and when I asked why he was ringing them up as two items- he said someone had hung them together- but hanger was a circle overhang hanger not able to hung that way- I explained that is how I found them- he suggested that I hung them together and I told him I did not appreciate him insinuating that I had done so- did not purchase pants. I had asked about boots if they were on winter sale item - he responded no- never did I say I did not want them but he choose to not ring them up. When I got home he left boots of my purchase- I had to return to store to get them- he Never Apologized- when I asked if he was planning on saying sorry for me having to go back--- he became very irrationally and said no - would not apologize- VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM BRIAN MANAGER! I go to this store 2-3 times a day and normally everyone is nice- except for this incident- I believe he needs to be reprimanded- an apology is needed...

Dollar General customer service

I walked into the store and it was an unbelievable line. So I continued to make my rounds to gather the things i wanted to purchase.As I make it back to the register the line was then at a stand still I looked for a fellow employee to see if I could make sumone aware that she was jammed packed and out walks a manager to do a key turn she looked at the line and after she finished her key turn she then turned and went back in the office to where now there are two employees in the office n one on the register. The manager wasn't pleasant and she did not do a managers job (meaning)sje dod not take care of her customers ppl started to walk out.I know of the head guy Joel here in Ms n i would like to make h aware of his employees and the work ethics of his store i know he would not be happy I will no longer be a dollar general shopper I hate Walmart but at least u have opinions as to how u chk out!Sincerely A UNHAPPY CUSTOMER IN MISSISSIPPI AT DOLLAR GENERAL ON MILITARY IN COLUMBUS MS

Dollar General employee (manager) customer service

Store # [protected] North Volusia Ave. Orange City Fl. Several times now, while checking out, due to over scans & misentries the cashier needed an override from the manager. Every time this happens(when the manager isn't already right there) it takes 5 to 10 minutes to get her up to the counter(in a store that is only a minute & a half long for a person on crutches) that really does a job on milk & icecream . Yesterday it happened again, I had milk & butter both. Finally I got completely fed up, left it all setting & walked out

Dollar General unethical behavior

On 11/15/2016 I was shopping at the Dollar General located at 400 North Service Road Wright City, Mo as I preceded to check out the cashier said that he needed to search my purse i thought I misheard him and asked him what he had said as he grabs my purse and proceeds to search it. I am a costumer at this store almost daily and cant believe my fourth amendment rights were being violated for no reason. There are no signs stating that my personal belonging is going to be searched as I am paying or exiting the building. I proceeded to tell the cashier that he might want to ask for a raise if harassing and violating the costumers rights was now part of his job duties at the very least demand some gloves to put on who knows what you could come across in someones purse. I went and spoke to the manager and he seemed perfectly fine with the fact that what had just been done was illegal because they were told by the corporate office to do this. I guess I need know is what gives you the right to tell your employees to violate my rights? It is unfortunate but I don't see myself shopping there any time soon.`

Dollar General coupon

I received an email from you stating I have won $60 shopping card at Dollar General. It has not allowed me to finish. They had me send this opportunity to 15 friends and post it on my Facebook page which I did both. The card is being given due you 76th Anniversary. It has not allowed me to get my gift card. If this is scam that's sad because they are using your logo. It really makes you look really bad I have been a faithful customer to your business and stores. I hope you can assist me with this matter, or I will have to start going to Walmart or Family Dollar store instead of Dollar General. Thank you in advance for your attention regarding this matter.

Dollar General blacksville, wv store

The store at Blacksville, WV is filthy. It has been this way for months. The floors rarely get scrubbed, and there is always garbage and products on the floor. This morning, I found a container of Edy's ice cream sitting on the floor. I am sure that a customer left it there, but, believe me, I doubt if a clerk would have bothered to pick it up. I placed it in the freezer, with its dirty bottom facing upward, so that no one would purchase it.

It is clear that, when the floors get swept, a push brown goes down the center of the aisle only. A scrubbing very rarely takes place. If these floors were scrubbed, you would have to use a scrubbing pad on caked on dirt before the mop was used. And floor wax? Never. Believe me, if managements states that mopping and waxing are done on a regular basis, they are lying.

The parking lot is dirty, too. Litter everywhere. The mats and sidewalks are dirty.

The shelves are cluttered and not always stocked. As a result, it is difficult to locate items. I frequently check several areas of the store for an item. This has been a problem since the store first opened.

I visited a nearby store a week ago. 20 minutes away. It was so clean and orderly, and to my surprise, I learned that both stores have the same district manager. Why would the DM permit one store to be so filthy and, after talking to the manager, be so demanding of the other?

This store has been open for a few years and uncleanliness, disorderly shelving, and insufficient stock has been a reoccurring problem. I have talked to a two long term employees and morale is bad. They probably remain at the store because it is close to home. I know that turnover at this store, as well as in retail in general, is high. However, surely, if this store had a better reputation (and this includes treatment of employees), it would be easier to hire good employees and keep them.

I have worked retail, and various members of my family have worked retail for years. I couldn't work in this store, and I know that they could not either.

As I said earlier, I wish that I had an alternative place to shop in my area. If I did, I would avoid this store. It is just disgusting.

If the Blacksville store was not so close to my home, I would not shop there. However, since this is a rural area, options are limited.

I wish that I had taken pictures. Corporate needs to send someone down there to check it out and take pictures, someone that is not known to the DM and staff.

Dollar General products not on shelves

I live within 10 miles of three DG's ...there are things you have at a price point that nobody else has...so I go there. The aisles always have boxes of stuff being unloaded in them and you cant' get to anything on the shelves. This is at all three stores...I have been in DG coast to coast and they are all the same. There aren't enough employees to stock and check out. I'll say all the employees are friendly and helpful ...but the don't seem to stay very long...must be difficult to work there. I am also a shareholder and the stock has done well...but I'm wondering how much longer it can survive ..I took pictures of two of the stores if you would like to see them.

Dollar General no hair products for black people on shelf

Why is it that this store is new shelves fully stocked but there are no hair products on your shelves for black people? Store is in a predominantly white neighborhood. I hate to say it but it seems as though someone is trying to keep the black people out of this store. This is truly sad you still have companies that don't want to deal with black people or any other race that's not caucasian. Well this world is full of several races but if you don't want my money I have no problem spending it at family dollar, sallys, beauty supply businesses and walmart.

Dollar General no cashier around - ever

The new Lisbon, NH store hardly has a cashier up front or around near by to cash you out. There has been plenty of times going there and I've waited a good 10 Min. to be checked out. While I wait I walk the end isles to see if there is an associate to call upon, no one. I understand they have to stock shelves too but they really need to have one person up front dedicated to checking people out and stocking up front, seeing who is coming in and out of the store. This place could have been robbed from merchandise and they wouldn't have know. I as well as others could have just simply walked out of there on multiple occasions.
