Dollar General manager

Hello, I am an employee at Dollar General in wagram, nc. I'm contacting DG because as an employee I feel as if the manager mistreats her workers. Every since my manager Cheyenne has came there she takes smoke breaks at least 4 times out her shift, she's very rude and disrespectful to the customer and employees. Not only that but she changes the work schedule without telling the employees and when we don't show up to work it's a problem because we aren't informed. Tonight when my ride was waiting for me, the driver in my car told me he heard Cheyenne telling another person that the workers at this dollar general are lazy mother f###ers, when she tries to explain things to us she said we don't get what the "f###" she is saying and that she is trying to get rid of all of us and replace us with the employees at her old job and she also complained about how she never gets a day off. She also stated hopefully she can replace the assistant manager. If the CEO of dollar general stands for someone like this than I am BEYOND ashamed to be an employee here. Something needs to be done soon!

Dollar General length of training period required to keep job. store #13668

My daughter in law started working at the dollar store in our area, this was her very first job ever. She hadnt worked at the store a month and considering that this was her first job she was doing good she made a few minor mistakes, which should be expected and worked on with her. But she had to quit ( or be fired) because she wasn't learning the store fast enough, the District Manager said she should have learned what she needed to in 2 days. Any job that I've ever had you had 30 days to learn. Is this typical of the type and length of training that is expected and given to new employees, if it is it's no wonder the dollar store can't keep or hire good employees, no job can be learned properly in 2 days. It was at the District Manager's recommendation that she be fired or quit. I would really hate to think that this is the practice of the Dollar store's hiring requirements, that you have only 2 days to learn the store or your fired. If it is, it needs to change, a new employee should be given 30 days to learn and/or be trained accordingly. My daughter n law was so proud of herself that she had gotten hired and was starting to get the hang of things especially since this was her very first job and being made to quit has done nothing but made this a damaging and emotionally bad experience for her when she tries to get a job somewhere else, because she thinks that she wasnt doing or could do a good job. No one wants their first job to be a bad experience it's suppose to help prepare them for future jobs to better their selves. If she had been given the opportunity to prove herself she would have made a good employee. But your loss and hopefully if this hasn't caused her to question herself someone else's gain. Again I hope for all new and present employees that this is not company practice to not give employees time to learn their jobs. I'm sure that the District Manager had more than 2 days to learn his job didn't he? He needs to be trained on how to treat his employees, because excuse my language he sucks at it.

Store #13668. My daughter n law was hired at the Dodson Branch, TN. Dollar Store she went to work Monday evening everything was fine, Tuesday her day off she went in to get her a schedule was told that she was being let go because she had 2 days to learn the job and she didn't. She had also been wrote up 3 times for things that she was not told or shown how to do, she had been working there less than a month, she was not suppose to be left alone to run the register, someone was suppose to be with her while she was being trained but she was on the register by herself after only a few days on the job. She said that no one would tell her how things were suppose to be done. She does not understand why she was let go because she was told that she was doing a good job, that she was going to make a good employee. This should fall back on the manager because it was her responsibility to see to it that she was being properly trained and she failed to do so. My daughter n law was let go for personal reasons, the manager had someone that she wanted hired back and to do so she had to let someone go. Customers were happy with her and we're disappointed when they were told that she had been let go. This is no way to treat new employees or any employee. If the manager let her go for personal reasons than she needs to be wrote up herself for this. It was not because she wasn't doing her job, the manager is the one who wasn't doing her job it was her responsibility to assign her a trainer and she didn't, because she needed a reason for letting her go. We also found out that a previous employee who had quit without notice was wanting her job back and to get it back someone had to be let go. This is no way to run a business, me and my family have spent alot of money at this store well no more and we have alot of other family members and friends who shop there, and they may stop shopping there when I tell them what happened.

Dollar General the district manager of the dodson branch store in tn. #13668

I have a complaint about the District Manager of the store in my neighborhood. He is rude and disrespectful to his employees, the employees that work at this store are friendly and hardworking. New employees are told by him that they have two days to learn everything about the store, Which is ridiculous and unrealistic, every place that I have ever worked you were given at 30 days to learn the job, and that should be the same at this store, if it's not it should be. No one can or should be expected to learn a whole store and it's workings in 2 days. The store manager has a good working relationship with her employees which makes shopping there enjoyable and relaxing, because when you see the employees getting along it makes for a good store environment for shopping. Using your position as an excuse or reason to be rude and disrespectful to those under you is just and should be unexceptable. This is that I know of the only store where the employees aren't treated with the respect that they deserve. They work hard and treat their customers with respect. The manager and employees at this store are friendly and hardworking and deserve to be treated accordingly. If the people in this area knew how the employees at this store were being treated by this District Manager they would be very upset and would probably shop elsewhere because the employees and manager at this store are very well liked. Using your position should never be an excuse or used to treat people with disrespect or that they are beneath you! The manager and employees at this store deserve better and should be told and shown appreciation for their hard work in making this a store a place that people enjoy shopping at. I hope that this is not how all your Dollar stores operate.

Dollar General background check not in

I really don't have a complaint per say, but more of an inquiry that I am hoping I can get answered. I had applied for a sales associate position at the store in Elgin Texas 2 weeks ago. Then I had put in my pre-employment paperwork last week on 4/6/2017. As of today at 3pm, I had gone up to the store to see what the hold up was on my background check getting sent into the system so that I can start working. The store manager stated that she had no idea why mine an 2 others are taking so long to go through. If I could get someone to please look into this matter and hopefully have it taken care of. I would greatly appreciate it. I really want to work for your company and I really need the job 4 weeks ago. Thank you so much.

I walked In this store this morning and was appealed. Could not get down the aisle for all the unbowed stuff in way, store dirty, only 2 employees.. When this store open we were so proud, not it is just another Dollar General. junk store. Hire more employess and give them more hours. too big a turn over in people. The checker who I talked to his over whelmed...with the condition of the store...We are a small town of mostly retired people and use this store a lot. Please clean it up, hire some good employees. give them more than 15 hours a week take care of this situation. Out side of store has to much stuff, baskets on the outside in weather. I will not shop this store again and I will make sure I inform all the citizens of Lone Oak of the deplorable conditions.

Dollar General contest and survey

I have always entered every receipt when I shopped at Dollar General when
i could do over the phone. I do not like the new process of only 3 per month especially for the sweepstakes. I understand the $3.00 coupons being 3 per month but I feel you should be able to enter the contest every time you shop.I have been trying to enter my codes and it has been over 30 days and it still will not let me enter.

Dollar General the manager and assistant manager

(Store number 12109; Address 1329 Getwell Rd. Memphis, TN.) I have NEVER seen mangers act the way the managers do at this store. The managers at this store DO NOT care what they say around or to their customers. They are very unprofessional. I have been in this store several times and have witnessed them cussing out loud in regular conversations with each other in front of customers. And, please don't ask them for assistance. They will tell you in a minute they don't have time, they are busy, or they don't know. I thought customers supposed to be their number one priority. I now will drive past this store and look for another store to go to because of their nasty attitudes and very poor customer service. I am sure that other customers are doing the same thing because I have heard many customers complaining about their behavior. Your company have cameras so you could watch your videos and see what your employees are doing and how they are treating your customers. Something has to be done about the way they behave in these stores.

Dollar General store and customer service

4/9/2017 #12342. I went in your store today bad and poor customer service . you have switched managers in that store several times. The store is nasty and their customer service needs a lot of training so that reflects on you as a whole. There was a line down the aisle with one register open, young lady was talking on her personal cell phone name Nikki, One lady checking and the other lady standing in the office door doing nothing. I'm looking through your category to give a reason why I'm complaining about your store the category that you have listed should be reviewed to better fit your stores.

Dollar General customer service and store appearance

The Dollar General Store in Baileyton, Tn is one if the nastiest stores I have ever been in!
There is always stuff laying around in the floor and product in boxes laying in the Iles.
The employee's are rude and one night this guy checking out my order had his personal radio at the register playing profanity rap music.
A song come on he liked and he turned the voulume up and started dancing and raping.

This is the worst excuse for a store!
Someone needs to do something soon or they will continue to lose customers!
I know Me and My family will not be back!

Dollar General cashier jonathan lonoke arkansas store

The cashier Jonathan is very rude and disrespectful. Anytime he is asked a question or about any product he has a smart mouth rude response. Very disrespectful and unprofessional to be rude and hateful with customers. My family goes there 4-7 times a week to shop and if this is the kind of business or service that is going to be used then I will gladly go elsewhere. If he doesn't want to be there or hates his job that much then he should probably go somewhere else to work. Don't take the frustration with work out on customers who are spending their hard earned money.

I live in apartments next to Dollar General and my daughter lives on the other side (on E. Stadium Dr.in Eden, N.C.). The parking lot always looks like trash and it blows into both of our yards. I talked to the manager and she said that someone comes sometimes to clean it. I asked her why one of them didn't in the evening and she said that they can't. When...

Dollar General no cashier around

On April 6, 2017 around 8:30 a.m. I went to the Dollar General at 401 W. Ehringhaus Street and when it was time for me to check out, the cashier left and went in the office. I was the only one in the store at the time and there was no one around for me to get my items checked out I had to leave my stuff and go to Family Dollar. There should always be someone up front to wait on customers. I noticed that this particular store that this cashier is always in the back somewhere. She's a Black female, skinny, with twists in her hair. If there's another employee working with her, they will go in the office in the back with her.

Dollar General 916 joe frank harris prkway SE cartersville ga,

On my april 2nd 2017 I was at the dollar general in cartersville as stated above the incident should be on camera as well. i was there with my 15 year old, and 4 year old adoptive grand children. In the front of the store while my granddaughter was at the cash register checking out I went to the front of the store IN PLAIN VIEW of the everyone even the people who work there. No one would help me get a 12 pack of coke colas I went to get one frm the top and it fell and hit me in my face. i was bleeding from my nose and NO one would help me I had to run to the car to get paper towels and we left. They sat there no one came to help no one even offered to help. Though they did laugh. My wife called the dollar general when we got home and asked to speak to the manager and she said the said Mananger Ernie was not in and would not be in until today well she said because he left the store they could not and would not file any kind of report. What was he supposed to do beg for help whie he was bleeding he had to leave to get something put on his nose. THis is on camera and no one wants to do anything? Why is it? I have pictures of my nose that is attached and if you go look in your cameras you will see the humilating incident that no one wanted to help we are in america and this is unacceptable behaviour for the part of your company not wanting to help.

Dollar General rude manager

My daughter and I went into Salem wv dollargeneral, we went to check out and the manager was on his cellphone talking to someone. We waited for a while in case it was an emergency but he was talking about going out that night. So I asked him if he could check us out.He got mad that we were ready to check out so he hung up and threw his phone. My daughter was behind me in line. He checked her out and threw her money to her instead of handing it to her on laying it on the register.

The store I'm complaining about is store #17238 in Abbeville Louisiana. The employee that works there is very rude. His name is Jon and he curses at the people that goes in, catches an attitude when someone sqeaks the little toy at the register when he's not there. He throws the snacks around and when we ask him a simple question he smacks his lips. He needs to be fired.

Dollar General staff

My complaint concerns store #03660 in Jasper Alabama. The staff there is
indifferent and apathetic at it's best and RUDE at it's worst. With one exception, and I don't recall her name but she is in her 30's with long dark curly hair and tattoos and she works ALL the time, the rest are awful, especially the manager! Today 04/02/17, I witnessed the manager sitting on her butt while a delivery man was waiting to deliver milk. The staff was busy with customers, and the man mentioned that the milk had to go back on the cold truck in the next 15 minutes IF he couldn't put it in store cooler. Her response was "well tell him to do whatever he wants with it!" I then left the store so I don't know the outcome. But I do know this, I live 1/2 mile from this store and shop there 3-4 times weekly. But, I will now drive the 8 miles to the next nearest store located in Boldo, Alabama!
