Consumers Energy Very aggressive dangerous driver of consumers energy truck

July 9th 2020
Allendale/ Standale area Michigan
At Cottonwood and Balwin street area. A big Consumers energy truck with an auger on top was riding our bumper for a mile or so until I could pull off. I was going 10 over the speed limit to get away from him he stayed on us. I caught up to him at a stoplight but could only get a plate number.
PF05777. Very scary for us senior citizens . I don't think this young man should be driving a large truck. I called 911 and gave them the plate number. Please get this fool off the road! I will continue calling Consumers Energy until something is done.

Consumers Energy Local rep parking on my lawn!

Some local rep (Female)of yours parked on my lawn last Friday. I work extremely hard to maintain a beautiful lawn. This was a total disregard for my property. I worked on fixing the rut made for an hour. And readjusted a sprinkler head that was driven on. I confronted the individual down the block but was less than satisfied with her nonchalant response and lack on concern. To her it was no big deal. Please retrain your folks accordingly to avoid this kind of lack of respect and I will await your response.

I had a meter lady come out and tell me that I had my electric hooked up illegally when I in fact had a ground cable coming from the lead ground from the line from my weather head to my generator for lighting purposes she said that I had my power hooked up it legally I said no lady I do not I said that is a ground she said I was lying I went up there unclamped it barehanded and threw it down no spark no nothing remind you of a metal clamp okay then they say the cop come out say please. George on my property if she didn't know the difference between a hot lead and a ground lead I have a 10000 watt generator okay and she said the cop that I had to hook up and legally just a blizzard come back there I showed him what I had and he said no that's not illegal now they're told me just pay the bill of $780 and I would get it back on I did that they only told me I had to pay half that I paid the whole thing then they scheduled three times to get it hooked up then they said well we can't hook it up it went to investigations unit then this after hours and hours on the phone in days gone by the investigator says when we investigated and it was hooked up and legally which is a bald-faced lie they did not rule out here so they are lying through their teeth about it and now they're charging me another $1, 800 you want me to sign a complaint or a paper saying that I unlock kalisto electric when I attacked didn't they're trying to get me to admit that I did to get my power back on and I'm sitting here wondering the generator everyday is $60 a day to three days off work because three different times they set up appointments and nobody from the investigation unit will call me back in this is ridiculous absurd

The hundred dollars was supposed to say $800 in a complaint I paid the whole thing and the cop said it was hooked up legally not illegally and investigators didn't even do an investigation and charged me $1, 800 which they said that was what I would have old but I've never had a bill of over a hundred seventy a month in my electric was off for almost 3 months so how did they get $1, 800 when I wasn't stealing power begin with when the generator was on

Consumers Energy security kicked me out of building

I recently exited the building through the turnstiles. There was a single piece of construction tape which I moved to exit. There were no signs or cones stating that the turnstile was not working. Which in fact it was. I was told weeks latter that I may not ever enter the building. Which in turn I was terminated from my job being that I was working in the building since 2007. I was a contracted worker and was a night cleaner. I was terminated on 11-13-2019. I feel this is not right. I thought that the maint dept. did some work earlier and forgot to move the tape. Again the turnstile was working, and there were no signs stating do not exit. Donald Wade. [protected]

Consumers Energy consumer energy driver

On 10/29/2019 at about 4:55pm I was driving westbound on Wildwood street in Jackson Michigan when a consumer's dump truck turned into wildwood street from a side street driving reckless, as I continued on wildwood this truck driver raced with me trying to get in front of my vehicle before getting to the light at Laurence and wildwood. When he seen that he was unable to get in front of me he got in back of my vehicle and tale-gated as if he was wanting to rear end me and push me out of his way. I put on my turn signal to turn into mancino's restaurant on wildwood, and after he passed I tried to make out the plate but only was able to get the first number or letter, I think it was 605S or 6O5S. I understand consumers has emergency calls to get to but still need to consider others on the road.

Consumers Energy new service installation

We have been waiting since August of 2018 to get service installed at our house we built. We started the process and decided to put it on hold in October due to house not being started and being told they couldn't run power in until the meter was installed. When we put it on hold the project mana at the time told us we could pick up where we left off. When we reached out to start the process again we were told we had to start over, as they didn't keep records after being told they would. Fast forward to April of 2019 we started the project back up and were assigned a new project manager. Things were moving along but we had uncooperative neighbors that wouldn't sing easements which is no fault of Consumers. That was resolved in early August then the process for permits began because we now had to bore under a road. This is where the cluster begins. We got the boring permit which was good through October 31st, then we were told we needed a soil erosion permit which we got in mid September. At that time the soil erosion guy informed Consumers they needed an overhead permit because of a county drain running though our property that could take an additional 4 to 6 weeks. In the meantime our house is now finished and we can't move in unless we use our whole house generator. In addition we had to go month to month on our apartment lease increasing that expense. I understand we need these permits but what I don't understand is how people that do this for a living miss this stuff causing delay after delay. If they have a plot of the land how can they not know there is a drain on it? To top it off the communication if weak at best. When you check in for a status update it takes a few days to hear back. Then what we are told we are finding out isn't always what is really happening. For example last week we were told the county had what they needed for the overhead permit only to find out yesterday from the county they submitted information on Friday, the same day I heard back from them. It seems like there is disorganization between departments and what is needed. I feel bad for the person handling our project because it seems like he is caught in the middle of the confusion. If they don't have the right people in the right positions they need to fix it. If they don't have enough people add to staff. Not like they can't afford it. I have never seen anything as ridiculous as this. We just want to get power to our new house and it shouldn't be this difficult or take this long.
My name is Susan Pelto, partner is Ron Gardner. The property address is 220 S Williamston Rd, Dansville Mi. Help moving this along would be appreciated

Consumers Energy tree take down

The beginning of July a storm came through on Oakpark Dr. that took down the power lines and half of a tree on our property. When consumer energy came the whole block was without power and they proceded to fix the problem. The supervisor of that crew had said that the tree was a danger issue and that they would be out in the next couple of days to take down the remaining part of then tree. The tree that was effected totaled 1 car and severe damage to the other.. the crew came out again but we were. Told that they did not have the right equipment. When I called them after July 21, I was told that it was turned over to the forestry department. I called and spoke to a lady in that dept. and she said that she would come out to look at it. She did and I received a call from her saying that it was a danger and that she would send a crew out to cut the tree. She did send a crew out but nothing was done. When I called again she said that someone else was handling it but she would not give me his name or phone number. I have 4 grandchildren that come to our cottage all summer long and play on the property and I see a danger to their lives plus the other children in the neighbor hood. The electric lines are right in the tree and could be dangerous. I just want you to know that my grandkids and their safety mean a lot to me and I would like for someonne to come out and look at it.

Sincerely
Frank Cusumano

Consumers Energy power line

We have had an ongoing issue with a power line the goes directly into my house that will spark and crack very loudly when it rains heavy or if it's windy. I've reported to consumers energy multiple times and my husband has as well. When the line cracks and sparks our electricity flickers throughout the house. This has been going on for at least 3 months and we've called approximately 5 times. Today the line started cracking and sparking again (it's been raining all day) but this time we completely lost power in the house excluding our kitchen light for some reason. My husband called and I have submitted a complaint with consumers and was told that the last time I called a technician came out and the line wasn't sparking so they left. So again, a technician should be out by 5 pm today but I am so concerned that now all of my appliances have been ruined due to their faulty power line and my ignored complaints.

Consumers Energy electric service

I requested service disconnected at a resident I purchased so I could update it. They set up an account for it to be disconnected. Power lines were disconnected and meter was removed. Now they are charging me for service. What service? They told me as long as there was an account, I would be charged for service. I didn't request an account, so why am I charged for something I didn't ask for and am not receiving?

Consumers Energy electrical power outages in the n e grand rapids area

In the last 5 months we have had 3 power outages in the 4510 Ashford Dr. N E area. We have found via the outage map that atleast 2 of those were due to downed trees and the 3rd was unknown. All have been in the 3-5 hour range and sometimes more. They all seem to be in the same elongated triangular area. The location is Plainfield to the Beltline to 5 Mile Rd.

The question is what are you doing to trim the trees or whatever needs to be done to get the outages under control?

Thank you,
Bruce Papet

Consumers Energy driveway was tore up and they did not replaces right

There is no seam in the driveway in that area. They want to put the only seam in and it will look real bad. My wife asked them to stop pouring and I had a sign do not pour but they poured it anyway. Very poor customer service. Pictures show how the seam will not line up and how it will look like a bad job when the contactor did it right and consumer Energy is the one hodge-podge the job.

Consumers Energy poor customer service with forestry division

November 2018 forestry came out to mark trees for cutting/trimming. Shortly after a crew was out and trimmed trees. I was concerned with trees overhanging the power lines. The representative came back out and said that hardwood trees don't break so they aren't cut down. February 2019 the ice storm hit breaking the hardwood tree and ripping the power lines off as well as breaking my power pole. The line supervisor came out 2 days later and said that my house was the worst house he's seen from this storm. I explained what concerns I had and how the forestry representative told me about the hardwood concern. Line supervisor said he would take care of my problem since they were recently out cutting and it took out so much stuff. Nothing happened so I contacted the better business bureau. The next day the forestry manager came out and told me too bad so sad. What we do is what we do and you can't say anything about it. I was told ideally 10 feet around the power lines is what they aim for. I have trees 4 feet from the power lines and poles that are no concern to consumers energy. It isn't like I can drop consumers energy and go with another company. I am stuck. The forestry manager said they are throwing the dice as to a cost effectiveness to them. I am their customer and I should be treated as such. There are houses down the street from me that they cleared top to bottom 10 feet on either side of the lines. Thats all I asked for and its too much for them to do. Their crew has been out here twice and I still am unhappy. Since the ice storm I have had power loss 5 times for hours on end, it doesn't matter the weather...

I would love to have the trees cleared to minimize the chance of branches coming down on top of the lines.

Consumers Energy billing

The account number on the bill is [protected] The service was started without my knowledge and when I found out it was in my name I requested it be shut off. Months later I got another bill so I called again then they shut it off. But told me I was responsible for the bill. I was in prison when the service was started and was released on 05/01/2018 so I don't understand why consumers energy thinks I'm responsible for any of the bill. I do have a proof of incarceration and if anything else is needed I can provide that too.

Consumers Energy fraud

Today (04/02 ) I received an automated call from what they said was Consumers Energy stating that they was going to shut off my power due to none payment if I didn't call 800 376 2064 within 30 minutes . Now I know this is a scam, but my concern is some people will fall for it . I wanted to call that number so bad and tell them what scumbags they are but did not. I was wondering does Consumers Energy investigate these calls ? Not everyone has access to a computer to look this crap up . If I were the CEO of Consumers Energy this kinda stuff would piss me off so much I would spend unlimited money investigating and prosecuting . Someone needs to step up and eliminate these scumbags.

Consumers Energy customer service

I've been trying to get ahold of someone to talk to for the past 3 days to set up a payment plan so my power doesn't get shut off. I've been told I'll get called back in 6 minutes, never happens. Was on the phone waiting for ten minutes while I was told I was being transfered to talk to someone finally after I had been dealing with the automated person not working and just repeating herself. I'd like to be able to talk to someone.

Consumers Energy construction

that I work midnight's. There is construction across the street. First, trying to sleep and pounded on my door because the needed to see my sewer line in my house do to some rich jerk building a Bigfoot house across the street. So this stranger I don't know is walking through my house during my night.

Then, on the next Saturday morning, they parked 5 trucks with their diesel engines smelling the house and rumbling the ground in the house, THEN some concrete pounding machine starts pounding so strong, my wife's stuff on a shelve fell off and broke.

We/re a working class neighborhood, but I guess this rich guy paid off consumers to work on a Saturday. znd screw the peasants znd not notify them of the or talk to them about the obnoxious disturbing the piece, must of took some money on the side. they dug up my lawn a couple of months ago without a peep of notice.

Consumers Energy heating rebates - the scame.

I had Furnace replace about March 2018 by a Consumers Contractor. I was told there was a rebate. When I asked for the form I was told by the contractor (Fire & Ice) "they take car of the rebate." About a month and one half later I called the contractor about the rebate and was told, "they take a while." I called consumers energy on Monday, November 5, 2018 I was told they never received any rebate request from the contractor. I was then asked for my model number and serial number and was told I am eligible for a $250.00 rebate, they would send me out a form. I called again on November 15, 2018 and was told there is no form and a consumer advocate would contact me in a week from the day I called them. today is November 18 and there is no call. I did tell them they need to check this contractor (Fire & Ice) because they are telling people they handle the rebates but they don't. I do not expect to ever receive any rebate or any call from Consumers Energy. The Rebate Program is Just a Big Scam.
