Canada Post postal non delivery

Yesterday, at 2:58 pm (16 Oct) the postman buzzed up to my apt asking me to come down to get my parcel, (a small one I may add). I asked him to come up as I have a walking problem. What does he do ? he enters online "attempted delivery left notice where to pick up" I shop online because of my walking problem. So much for their logo " we deliver your online shopping. The guy should be fired after i tell him cant walk and to please bring to apt.! my tracking number [protected] shame on you post man and Canada post for such lousy service to elderly handicapped people.

Canada Post pick up parcel

Since I missed the day of delivery, Canada Post left a notice for me to pick up the parcel at a later day. I go as told and the cashier tells me that it was supposed to be there, but isn't. This isn't the first time that I had issues with Canada Post. My delivery was delivered to the wrong address even though the address on the parcel was correct. (I live in Vancouver and it was delivered to Burnaby...) I really hope that they step up their game because it is so frustrating dealing with this and I'm sure many people are also.

Canada Post non-delivery of us parcel

A saddle was ordered fro Vermont and delivered by UPS to customs where parcel was to be sent by Canada Post to my address. Tracking showed that this parcel went to the Mississauga depot where 19 days after arriving to Canada tracking indicated that it was to be delivered within "1-12 Buisness days" to my address. Instead, I learned that on day 24 the package had been returned to sender in US.
There was no way to contact depot in Mississauga and only the sender can fill a service complaint ticket.
It is no wonder that Canada Post is in a deficit, this is not service but a joke. They are unaccountable and above the law. Privatize the mail!

There is actually exceptions to the law in regards to having to wear seatbelts.

Postal workers, cops, and quite a few others are exempt from this LAW.

Canada Post low price-high price

Shipping a small packet international and was offered three choices. 1. Small packet int'l-Light packet $7.50 2. Small packet Int'l surface $8.07 and Small packet Int'l air $11.57 Hmm. Don't want the Int'l ground because of delivery times. My other question on this is how do you ship ground going across water anyway? Lots of thinking went into that one. NOT. Unsure of the other two choices which were similar except in price, I called Canada Post to see what I would get for the extra $4.07 Nothing, really, I was told. They are almost totally similar. Will I get a shorter delivery time for $11.57 as opposed to $7.50? No was her reply. Does it come with any perks at all. Again no was the reply. Although she did say most people just choose the cheaper (If you call it that) option. Really?!? No kidding, huh. So if anyone out there needs to ship small packet overseas choose the cheapest option because, the other two appear to be a legal gouge for the same or below par service for MORE money. I suppose I could cross the border and pay the same price while even getting a TRACKING NUMBER. I was also not happy about Canada Post ending door to door delivery while still UPPING postage in 2015. Forget about harassing the staff that keep you alive and try organizing your postage rates you make the most on. Namely letters, and small packets. Half your prices DO NOT make sense to the user and, apparently, your representative employees. ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A FIFTH GRADER? Let the public decide.

Canada Post play around game

Ordered bicycle pedals from overseas that were shipped via singpost. They showed up in Richmond B.C. on the 24th of July with Canada Post stating "sent for further processing". Contacted Canada Post several times to be told parcel is with CBSA. Well after 15 days called customs in Richmond left a message and they called back. Spent 20 minutes on the phone with the customs lady who preceded to tell me customs does not have the parcel, that they never did and that Canada Post is still holding on to the parcel after 3 weeks.

Why does Canada Post lie so much to customers. Aren't your pay checks paid by people like myself? And what gives you the right to he peoples mail for weeks in end without a care. Call Canada Post? Forget it; lies lies lies.

Canada Post never attempted to deliver

Hello, I see online that Canada Post «attempted» to deliver me my package yesterday at 8:30am, they also stated that they left a card advising me where to pick up my package. There was no card left, and I had to figure out where to pick up my package. I was home the day they supposedly came to deliver my package... Now I have to go out of my way to pick it up. Really inconvenient and i`m not impressed with false information advising they left a card for me. That is absolutely not true. My package tracking number is the following [protected]

There is a scam going on and people sending phony emails stating it's from Canada post saying they attempted a delivery and nobody was home and there is a link to click on. This is a scam people trying to gain information from you. I have had a couple of these emails so far . Canada post always leaves a card on the door and attempts to deliver two to three times (usually written in the card ) . Beware of phony email there are many many going on right now you need to know how to distinguish the real from the fake if unsure call the real company to ask questions but don't open or respond to these emails it's getting real bad. I have gotten some from Canada post, impark, Canada revenue and paypal that were all fakes.

Canada Post offensive material

Yesterday I received a postcard-sized item in my mail which I consider highly offensive, if not actually pornographic. I could not categorize it in any of the ways this form provides, so I chose Society and Culture, but I guess it is a combination of political negative campaigning and pro-life activism. In any case, it should never have been approved by Canada Post for mass distribution.
I fully support the right of such activists to campaign and demonstrate in public, but they have no right to shove their hateful material in my face, with the collusion of Canada Post.

Canada Post no delivery to my apartment door.

I live at 43 Goldwin Avenue in Toronto Ontario Canada. I ordered merchandise for Amazon Canada. The Mailman buzzed me from the lobby and told me to come down for my parcel, he needed my signature. It was very early and I was unable to go down (I am physically challenged) I was in the middle of my breakfast. I take insulin so I could not leave anyway to go down six floors. He told me to go to the Post Office and get it. He ripped the merchandise card in two and put it in my mailbox. The next day (yesterday) he came to my building again, this time he did not buzz me. I found the merchandise card in my mail box for my other Amazon delivery. I don't move around easily being disabled, I had to go to the Post Office today to collect my parcels which contained fragile merchandise. ( MY SIGNATURE WAS NOT NEEDED IN THE POST OFFICE) I struggled to get the parcels home safely. I paid delivery charges for my merchandise, what did I pay for? Please look into this matter, all the other tenants in the building are complaining.

Same here. I live on 3400 Riverspray Cres. Apt. 1704. I online shopped with Amazon. Knew they would come yesterday, the postman buzzed up asking me to come down as he had many parcels to deliver. I asked him to come up as I have a walking problem. Instead he input on tracking
Attempted delivery, notice left where to pick up. So much for their logo " we deliver your online shopping' This guy should be fired. The post office
loses monies left and right and then they give you lousy service, no wonder they lose customer. For my part from now on will only use courier service. My tracking number is [protected] and it was 2:58 when he buzzed up. Hope you can identify this guy and fire him.

Canada Post not receiving forwarded mail

I really do hope you can help me. I purchased the canada post mail forwarding service from the outlet in shoppers drug mart in the country club mall location. The person at the desk did not provide me with a receipt. I was in a hurry and did not really think about the ramifications of not having the "code" on the receipt. It turns out you cannot get one bit of help from canada post, or the ombudsman without that code. So I cannot get any answers from anyone about where my mail has been going for the last 8 months.
I cannot file my taxes without the missing t4 slip. All my litigation files from my lawyers are missing. I have not been able to do anything and now I am living in ecuador, south america, which makes it even more difficult to get assistance. I have called the post office in nanaimo several times only to be ignored. I called the postal outlet in the shoppers drug mart and they say basically "tough luck" ok I get it, but where the heck is the undeliverable mail going? A local dumpster? I mean really, what do they do with it?
I am almost to the point of flying home to canada and confronting these people face to face until I get some action. I do not want to spend the $1500+ to return to nanaimo and try to get some answers.
Please let me know if there is anything you can do for this situation.

Canada Post mail

I received a Canada Post Notice informing me a letter was ready for me to pick up. The letter actually had two #s; one on the front; a different # on the back. One # declared that the item could be picked up by someone living at the same address as myself, as long as one piece of government photo I.D. bearing the same address on the item is presented. The other # requires a signature. The three people behind the counter, who informed me they didn't work for Canada Post, told me they didn't know what to do, but they would call the local depot to find out; in the mean time I was told I would have to leave the store, because I was "being difficult". The incident occurred Monday morning, July 22, 2015, at 5998 Bathurst St, North York, M2R 1Z0.
I was informed by an employee at the Canada Post Office at 2215 Steeles Ave W, in North York, on July 18, 2015, that the Notice I received was invalid.

Canada Post delivery, customer service

I entered the Canada Post Office at 2215 Steele Ave W, Toronto, M3J 3N2, on 18/07/2015, at approximately 10 am, and was informed that a Delivery Notice sent to my home was invalid, and I should go to Canada Post Office at 5998 Bathurst St, Toronto, M2R 1Z0, and speak to the staff to find out what the Notice was about.
On 21/7/2015, at approximately 9:15 am, I entered the Canada Post Outlet at 5998 Bathurst, and handed the Notice to the person behind the counter. When he presented a letter I noticed the tracking # was different than the # I presented. I then asked for the name of his Supervisor. He immediately paged someone, who approached the counter, and claimed his name was "Mike"; he refused to provide a last name, and told me he was not a Canada Post employee. Three people in total then appeared behind the counter, and all stated they did not work for Canada Post.; the woman claimed she owned the store. I was then told to leave the store because I was being "difficult".
I returned to the Canada Post Office at 2215 Steeles Ave W, at approximately 11 am, on 22/07/2015, and requested the name of the person who supervised, or managed, the store. The woman behind the counter old me she could not provide this information unless she knew what the issue was about. When I told her what had happened at the other Office, she claimed she knew the people I was talking about, and then said her Supervisor's name was Gino. I said that I need a last name. She told me she would have to call "Gino" to find out if it was O.K. to provide his last name. She failed to make that phone call, and instead asked for a "witness". An Oriental man emerged from the back room to confirm that they didn't have a Supervisor, only a "lead hand".
The women I spoke to originally appeared to have forgotten that 15 minutes earlier, when I entered the store, I asked for one piece of information; "Could you please provide the name of your Supervisor".

Canada Post package not delivered

I ordered the first aid kits online because I was injured and couldn't go out. I have waited for the package at home anxiously because the wound is getting a little infected. It was supposed to arrive in 2 days on July 6, 2015. I didn't get the package that day but I found a notice in the mailbox on July 7. The notice was dated July 6. Nobody rang the buzzer. It's not the first time the driver left the notice without ringing the buzzer. I called the customer service and the customer service protected their employee. They told me they could only redeliver the package in 5 business days. I'm extremely frustrated.

I lived in the USA and in my own country for many years, nothing like this happened there. It's such a shame for Canada! The problem is the head of the company! They don't teach their employee to respect their job and they protect their fault. Canada Post must deliver all mail as required under the Canada Post Corporation Act and Regulations. It's law! But we can't do anything about it. The only thing I can do is to try my best to avoid using their service. Shame!

Canada Post mail/package not delivered

I maria kojs, send many letters and small packages to winnipeg, manitoba, canada that they were never delivered.
Although, by tracking number, it stated that mail was successfully delivered.
Mails were send from arizona to winnipeg, manitoba canada. Several phone calls made to us postal and canada service. Ticketes were created and nothing done so far.

Question is, why canada post is so ignorant to investigate about lost mail/package? Why nothing has been done yet?

I need full investigation of lost mail/packages and I need fully recover of my lost money plus damages made to me and my mother.

Question again?
How would you feel if you will keep sending letters/packages to your ill parent and never seen it?

Disappointed with canada post

Receipts upon request.

Maria kojs

It would be beneficial if you would submit your complaint via registered mail to Canada Post CEO Deepak Chopra, Canada Post, 2701 Riverside Dr, Unit 1200, Ottawa, ON K1A 0B1. Hopefully they can find their own headquarters, but who really knows.

Canada Post delivery person lazy and buzzes and runs

I have a similar complaint as another person here - the canada post delivery employees do not even try to deliver the letters or packages. It has been an ongoing problem for years, but the past few months have been terrible service. I live in an apartment building the buzzer rings - I say hello and no response. I finally buzz the door open because I had so many problems with them buzzing once and running away without delivering when I am at home. I go down to find a door tag in my mailbox for a "missed delivery", when I was at home and buzzed them in. I live on the second floor, so this could be simply laziness of the canada post employee, but writing out a card for me takes longer than running up one flight of stairs. The problem is I then have to wait a day to pick it up at the post office, or I had to wait over a weekend several times. My deliveries are very important, as I work from home. The pick up post office is about one mile away on a busy street so I have to pay for parking or park illegally to get my package. I then have to walk far and I have a disabled sticker for my car. This goes against my rights for proper, timely and accurate mail delivery. My disabled parking sticker means I have limitations, making me suffer for nothing when I was in fact at home during these deliveries. Canada post took my information as a complaint and one carrier promised to look into it, but I did not hear back. It is our right to have home delivery but they don't even try! I get so angry each time this happens. Canada post needs improvement.

Everybody at Canada post is useless. Can't wait till the day they go out of business. All government jobs are a joke. I went to the post office and complained and the worthless [censored] just shrugged her shoulders and said oh well. It needs to be privatized or shut down. Put all those government employees out of work and make them look for real jobs

Canada Post cutting corners

Payment to letter carriers is based on the number of steps taken to complete their route. I have seen this being measured (wheel on a stick) to determine the number of steps it would take a carrier to go up a drive, to the mail box, back down the drive, along the sidewalk and up the next drive to the next mail box and so on, . It annoys me to see what I saw today. I looked out my office window to see a letter carrier passing directly in front of the window, across the lawn, step up onto a retaining wall, walk straight through a 15 foot wide garden, down off the retaining wall and up onto the porch to come in and deliver the mail. Really? Not only was this disrespectful to walk through our garden area but she is not properly doing the job she is paid to do. I'm sure I don't have the only lawn she walked across today.

When I called, canada post said my mail haven't release from the custom. Is it true? Or it's just being sent to the wrong place by canada post as it's already moving from richmond to mississauga.

Canada Post non-delivery of package

The postman rang my apartment buzzer forcefully 4 loud times. I answered and said hello several times then just buzzed him in even though he did not reply. I could see the postal van outside my window. I waited at my apartment door several minutes but no one came. Finally I looked out window again and saw that the postal van was gone. I went down to my mailbox and found a delivery notice in my box.
The notice is minimally filled out, not indicating when I can pick up the package or whether any duty is to be paid. This is the 2nd time this has happened. I stayed home on purpose this day awaiting my package which I knew would be delivered through the tracking number.
I could not find the right place on the canada post site to send this complaint.
I don't care how overworked the postman is. Don't ring my bell to get into the building then be so lazy as to not deliver the package. I can see from another complaints site I just looked at that nothing has changed at canada post for the past 10 years except that they are making more money now.

Canada Post non delivered canada revenue t 4 slips not delivered

I called alberta sheet metal workers on tuesday march 10th, who are always very prompt at any transaction, to see why they hadn't sent my t 4 slips yet. They were shocked that I hadn't received it as they assured me they had mailed it to me via canada post in january! They were good enough to mail me another one that very afternoon, but shame on canada post! I checked the mail [in vain] of course today. Here I sit with all my tax papers together but sadly unable to take them to the accountant for lack of one t 4 because of canada posts inefficiency! Hopefully you will find it in your hearts to get the second one to me soon so I can do my duty as a canadian citizen and get my taxes done!
One very disappointed customer - donna myles.

Canada Post no attempted delivery

I took a day off work to ensure I was available for my delivery package.
No one buzzed my condominium, left a pickup ticket, not knocked on my door - I have a very protective dog who barks at the slightest noise in the hallway.
I had been checking all day, low and behold at 2:13 delivery was attempted. While I was on my sofa watching reruns. Waiting.
I went to my mailbox and my front entryway and no ticket as indicated.
I suspect the item never left the truck and he didn't notice until he was leaving. Hence the attempted delivery scan and no ticket.
I will never use canada post for anything again.
