I’m deeply disappointed with Citi’s handling of a clear case of fraud on my credit card. A $2,800 charge appeared that I did not authorize and cannot trace. Rather than investigating properly, Citi has refused to provide any documentation or evidence supporting the charge, effectively accusing me of dishonesty simply because I don’t have a receipt for a purchase I never made.
This logic is absurd — the entire point of reporting a fraudulent charge is that you don’t know where it came from. I’ve spent weeks trying to get answers, but every representative has deflected responsibility or closed the case without explanation. The experience has left me feeling powerless and unprotected as a customer.
Citi’s refusal to stand by its own fraud-protection policies undermines any sense of trust or accountability. If you value transparency and fair treatment when issues arise, I strongly urge you to reconsider banking elsewhere.
