Circle K Store clerk behavior was very disturbing

Hello

I’m writing in regards to my experience at the Circle K store 2705352 located at 7110 Hwy21 Port Wentworth Ga.31407

Phone [protected]. On September 27th with your employee Shaloona. Detailed information on attached receipt.

Sadly, I have to write a letter in this manner but one of your associates at this store was very rude and out of line.

I feel traumatized by her actions. This was not a safe zone.

I simply ask her a question about one of your merchandise. It may have been in the wrong pricing area. I know things happen like this so I ask was it the actual price.

She not only rudely answered me but she also insinuate that I should know how to read. Which I did that is why I asked. On the back aisle up front where your chips are facing the drinks. The chips are everywhere, unorganized, and not in their proper place. 1 or 5 ok but over a dozen. That's an issue. Any customer would assume that plus reading the fine print says the chip brand on the label on the stand.

The store was not busy so I thought it was ok to ask the associate.

Again very rude but she proceeds to ring up the other items and not the chips. I said to her I wanted the chips...

I just wanted to know the correct dollar amount. She then said I thought it was a price problem for you….I said no I just wanted to know the price. Then it turned into a back n forth thing with her. As if I couldn't afford it because I ask about the price. How ridiculous can this get?

I ask “are you having a bad night?”

She proceeds to say out loud ” wherever there is a spot that where we put merchandise.

That’s what we do here we just fill spots we put things anywhere and everywhere very loud and obnoxiously she preceded on.

I said that’s crazy. I will call corporate about this. She says “so what” people call corporate all the time”!

Not only was she disrespectful to me she insulted me while others were in the store.

She also was talking to someone (on the phone while ringing me up) in her earpiece stating “the Lady in front of me is worrying about the price of chips and got a problem”.

I said to her “This LADY” she said yes you because I don't know your name. At this point, she has crossed boundaries, on the phone discussing a situation about a customer. I'm standing in front of her and she is letting me know she is on the phone speaking to me.

I said please ring me up for my gas so I can leave. She told me I won't be getting gas from her unless I get...in silence. Talk about bullying!

She proceeded to say how I needed her. I’m in her store wanting gas. I can leave because she doesn’t need me.

I said I don't need you. She proceeded to tell me I can get my gas from elsewhere. I sat there in disbelief with her ignorance to get my receipts. Because at this point I was calling corporate. I knew with a behavior as such it was no need to ask her anything. She only gave me 1 receipt. She did not give me the other receipt for the merchandise.

I've never felt so embarrassed in my life other customers were in the store.

This was unethical. I know this IS NOT the reputation Circle K has for their staff or store.

I come to this store several times during the week but earlier in the day. This was my first time seeing this young lady.

I know it was later at night maybe she was having a bad day but this type of treatment is unacceptable and something has to be done.

She had violated your store policy and puts your store in jeopardy in more ways than one.

I advise an higher up management team to please review the tape if your store has cameras and speak with your employee about her verbal threats to customers.

Telling a customer to go get gas elsewhere can cost you your store and her a job.

I'm not taking what she has said lightly and I hope you don't either.

I will not visit this store again nor would my family or friends. My safety, family, and friend's safety is important.

An employee on the phone discussing a customer right in front of their face isn't a safe feeling for the customer at all.

This was the worst encounter I’ve had at a gas station in my life. I’m sure she has been rude to customers before for her to tell me people call corporate all the time.

For her to feel confident no actions will be been taken for her uncouth behavior bothers me and I will continue pursuing actions and notifying this company until this type of behavior is unexceptionable in your workplace.

Customer support and safety should be your priority. I would like to see this issue resolved.

Circle K car wash on 8/14/2022 circle k located on 6509 s. louise ave. sioux falls,s.d.

van is being pulled thru automatic wash and aprox. halfway thru felt a quick stop then go. pulled out of wash bay and parked. front drivers side tire had a tear in the sidewall of tire that could not be repaired. bought new tire at walmart and had it installed and balanced.told store manager what happened right away. he took pictures of tire and said he would contact you. never heard from anyone since.

Desired outcome: would like a refund of new tire cost of 115.00 $

Circle K $5 a month app for the polar cups

Good Afternoon,

I purchased the $5.99 a month app. The circle k in CA on Slauson

has been out of ice for 2 weeks. I used it once and just took the soda but it was flat and no able to drink it. Till today there was a manager who said I could get an icy but not what I went in for or bought the app. for.

This is the store location I use to and from work. I would like to be compensated

for not being able to use my purchase for almost 2 weeks

my phone is [protected], if you could maybe give me next month added to my account it would greatly be appreciated

Last week Cano was racist against one of my co-workers and verbally abusive to him! Apparently, he has done this before with another worker who recorded conversation on his iPhone! I will not stand for this if HR does not do something I will report this! Roger Barraza night warehouse management who does nothing to help with the bad mouth and bullying Cano does with coworkers of different color and nationality Alex is new hire who does he think he is! I will not stand for this! Cano is dating Roger Barraza sister and that is why he is allowed to do whatever he pleases! No, I have been with company for 4 years now and have NEVER dealt with someone like this! That is not what our company stands for!

I will not give my full name because I know it will only cause issues for me and I will not lose my position over this! I know the hiring process how is it he was able to pass? Because he is friends with Roger Barraza? He should not be working for our company with that kind of unprofessional and racism! If HR does not do something to rectify the situation I will email Core-Mark Headquarters directly and report nothing has been done …… This man has just been hired has no right to speak this way! Against company policy! This needs to be resolved before it gets out of hand and this makes Core - Mark look so unprofessional especially HR not doing their job! This was reported many time by myself and coworker and nothing was done . This is a new employee!

This has also been sent to Corporate .

It has gotten to this point due to HR and Management have done nothing to rectify the situation!

he was racist against one of my coworkers and verbally abusive to him ! I will report this TWC  and anyone else I need to !

We have a recording of him saying these awful things that we will turn over to proper authority if necessary.

We also found out from different leader that this man is a high school drop out from 10 grade are you kidding me? Core - Mark allows a uneducated person to hold this position? I have been at my position 5 years and am educated ! ! This needs to be resolved before it gets out of hand or someone gets hurt this makes Core - Mark International look so unprofessional especially HR not doing their job to control situation if I do not see something done I will start reporting him …

Circle K Air conditioning in the store

Store number 270-8615 you guys leave them working in a hot [censored] store are you kidding me it's like 90° in there then I go by a sandwich and it says it still has a week on it I get home and it's molded and this is because the store isn't cool enough to keep your stuff right then I get a Reese's from there and it's melted man I'm not going back there to buy nothing this is ridiculous I'm going to channel 9 about this about the way you're treating your employees making them work in 90° weather I should probably check into it cuz I'm sure this is against the law

33809 Store# 437 Date: 09/11/22 2:42pm invoice# [protected] transaction# 1010244 Very very rude the worst Circle K I have been to. Wouldn't allow me to use my Sip N Save. Wouldn't even bring up the screen so I could put in my phone number. I paid for our drinks even though my husband had just renewed his and mind had 16 days left on it. They wanted us to renew again.

Circle K No public restroom

S. 51st Ave. & Baseline Rd. Location.

I came in bc I had to use the restroom pretty badly, it was almost an emergency. I go inside and walk to the bathroom door but it’s locked, I ask the clerk for access to the bathroom and they tell me their is no public restrooms. I said it’s an emergency and she still said no. They had 3 people on staff and they all just stood around not helping. I won’t go to Circle K anymore if this is how people get treated when they go there. This does not seem to be some high crime area, but I don’t know. It’s 5:45am and lots construction guys coming in and out. Seems like they could use better discretion when a customer comes in begging to use the bathroom.

Desired outcome: Let staff decide who can use the bathroom, don’t deny people that are desperate to use the bathroom. Regular working folks who get off the freeway to run to the nearest gas station to use the restroom happens often.

Circle K Refill on 100 oz soft drinks

I would appreciate someone contacting me on this once issue is fixed okIm in Florida on vacation one day I went into one of your store wow that’s a big cup before I bought the cup trying to communicate with the store manager do to I’m deaf so we both whipped out our phones text note I read it I asked how much to refill the cup every day she text and said.99 come to 1.09 that’s with tax I told her ok I will buy the cup she told me first fill is free wow so I decided to see the cost at different locations wtf circle K don’t know the price I get charged from .99 to 3.09 for a refill sometime I just dump it out why would they tell me one thing then another location charge different

Well found out that I can take the cup to any gas station pay .99 to refill circle ⭕️ k need to come with one price program with these cups or I’ll continue taking my cup that says circle k to there stores and pay .99 refill and wow .99 each two or three

Circle K Assistant Manager Joe

On Saturday September 3, 2019 at approximately 8pm, I arrived at the circle K #2740177 at 6910 S. Flores Street, San Antonio Texas 78221 to get gas. I was having problems with the gas pumps so I attempted to go inside to pay. There was another customer at the door who showed me a sign that the store was closed for 5 minutes. While we waited, we noticed two African America individuals, inside. Several minutes later, assistant manager Joe open the door to let them out but he told us that the store was closed because he had been there since 4am. We asked him that we needed to buy gas with cash because our credit/debit cards were not working at the pumps but he refused service and locked the door. While I waited to write this complaint, about 3 more customers attempted to go in but he refused service. I was able to get my debit card to work and after pumping gas, Assistant Manager Joe let two customers in. This type of service is not only suspicious but unacceptable. If he made the decision to close early, he should have not had the two suspicious African Americans in the store with the doors locked so no one else could come in. I was also at this location yesterday September 2, 2022 at the same hour and the store was also closed. If the store closes by 8pm, then it should close at 8pm and not allow more individuals after this time. Thus is a huge management and employee issue.

Desired outcome: Have the store manager accept responsibility for his lack of management abilities and replace this individual with a more courteous employee willing to do his job.

Circle K Easy pay card

I applied and finally received approval on my easy pay gas card after providing more information than is necessary for a mortgage loan. Very frustrating. According to your literature I am supposed to receive $.30 cents off per gallon for the first 100 gallons or 60 days. I used the card on 8/26/22 and only received $.10 cents off per gallon. I just called customer service at 6:10 pm on 8/29 to determine the issue. After giving him my phone number, my email address, the last 4 if my ss#, my birthdate, the high school I attended, he informed me my birthdate is incorrect in the system and asked for my driver's license #. Folks, this is a gasoline card. I'm not trying to rip off circle K! If my account cannot be verified with my phone, my email & the last 4 if my ss# then you are requesting way, way too much information! I will probably cancel my card and will never use circle k again. You make it way to difficult to buy gas! Kaye Bracken

Circle K Manager

My name is Charlene Sellers a few weeks ago i went into the circle k on Gordon street in Blackshear Ga i accidentally spilled my drink and the cashier was rude about it and told me if anyone falls then i will get sued and i asked her for a mop i said i can clean my own mess and there was another customer right by me and the manager took her side and kicked me out the store and I have seizures and they upset me so bad when i got home i was having seizures because of them I got a witnesses that was with me last time i walked into the store to get a drink and gas and she kicked me out the store and all I did was walk in i am surprised that yall let yall employees do people that way and the cashier was rude to me first there was another customer standing right next to me i am getting a lawyer and suing circle k for distress i been going to that store for 28 years way before she came along if i don't hear from yall and i don't get what's owed to me for your employees causing me to have seizures i will sue if this is not resolved my number is [protected] Thank you Charlene Sellers

Yes I came into circle k on triplett blvd and 2 people was working laura very nice young lady and matt he rang my order I put my phone number in he said 12.20 my grandson mamaw he did not get my gummy worms I said he had to my order came to 12.20 I got 3 small red bulls they were 5.35 and 2 big polar pops 1.09 a piece without your gummy worms thats only...

Circle K Customer Service

At the circle k store and Shell gas station on Bayfront Parkway in Pensacola,FL the clerk who worked last night's (Fri,Aug 5,2022- Sat,Aug 6,2022) overnight shift ..has repeatedly been rude,rasict ,and disrespectfully to me for absolutely no reason whatsoever.Im certain it's personal although I have no idea why.I have been purchasing items from this store for over thirty ...years...I've NEVER been treated this way..He is a new employee as well which truly baffles me.I don't understand what kind of power trip some of your employees seem to struggle with ,but they have no authority to act and speak to people the way they do.. He's militant and apparently just doesn't like white folks..I don't appreciate it.Especially after cc onsidering the amount of money I've spent in that one location since 1992..When I asked him what the issue was he responded by informing me I'm no longer allowed there..He does not have the authority to do that..and I'll be inquiring as to the owner and operator as to what his problem is

Circle K Customer service, not accepting coupons

So, the ONLY reason I purchase cigarettes at Circle K, is because the cigarettes I smoke, have e-coupons that are accepted at all Circle K locations. You have to go on the app, it lists the stores that accept the e-coupons, and today was no different. I arrived at 6055 Cochrum in Olive Branch, MS store 2709808 at 11:43am, and as soon as the cashier sees the coupon on my phone she says “we don’t do coupons from the phone”, never bother to try it or anything. I said well, I use them here (and other locations) on a regular basis and have never had a problem. She turns and asks her manager, and again without even looking she affirmed the same, we don’t take phone coupons. What bothered me more than anything was just the piss poor customer service in general, not even TRYING the coupon, then having to ask for a bag for my other 2 items and the receipt. It makes no sense that a receipt is not offered when it’s printed off and throw in a stack beside the register. Not sure why you’re keeping receipts that are for the customer. I just want the management and employees to be educated on what they can and can’t do. Cause now I’m going to drive 3 miles away to the other circle k location, where they don’t even ask a single question before scanning the barcode. I am a little irritated because with the e-coupons, and having to select a specific location, you only have 5 minutes before the barcode expires. So besides the inconvenience of having to drive somewhere else, I’ve now lost a $3 coupon because of someone’s lack of even caring to TRY to do their job.

Desired outcome: Educated employees, managers and just better customer service. Training!!

Circle K Vanilla prepaid visa card

I bought a $500 Vanilla Prepaid Visa Card on July 27/2022 and when I went to use it the card had been used in the UK. I live in a small community in Ontario Canada and am nowhere near the UK. How is that possible. I took the card right out of the plastic cover it came in. Please if you could resolve this as soon as possible I live on a small pension and cannot afford to lose that money.

Circle K Racial injustice

It was about 4am on July 26th 2022 . My name is Manuel Michael Bryan and I am writing in regards to an encounter I had at this circle k at the south west intersection of 83rd Ave and Indianschool Rd. I walk my wife up there at this time actually a little before so she can catch a ride with a fellow employee while our car is being repaired at a shop.. Well just a couple days before that Mt wife and I had gone in on July 24th 2022 about 3:45 am and I got a cup of coffee and the lady that was working that morning was a very nice African American woman who wanted us to save money and pointed out that circle k had the sip and save deal . So my wife paid for the sip and save discount where a customer can pay $6.50 so they can come in and get one drink every day for a month. We thought this was great . So anyways yesterday July 25th the circle k was closed do to a shooting outside of the store . So I could get my coffee now two days in a row and now I feel so uncomfortable to go to this store but it's in my neighborhood and my wife and I have lived a block away for five years now. Well thus morning I walked my wife up there she got in her ride to work and I went to get a cupcof coffee that is July 26th 2022 about 4am . Well the doors are locked and I went to see if the lady working would be nice enough to maybe let me get a cup of coffee as soon as possible . Well I asked her through the glass if I could get a cup of coffee and she scrunched up her face and said I'm closed . I said ok to myself I'll wait a minute . So I waited outside for almost thirty minutes and this other customer pulls up park's his truck at the pump and of course at this point I'm just wanting my cup of coffee to wake up to the man who parked his truck was a older Hispanic man and I'm a white man and this man goes up to the window and the lady walks over who is also Hispanic working the store at this time and she walks over and opens the door immediately to this other gentlemen but I was of no importance . I feel like this lady is absolutely rude and racist and I believe she should be fired . She ended up calling the police on me telling them she asked me to leave the store and told me I couldn't come in . This lady needs to be reprimanded.

Desired outcome: I ask that the employment of this employee for circle k no longer be employed by circle k.
