I can't believe it channel 7 you continue to amaze me with your lack of coverage of the AFL season. Whether it be games not live or not shown until midnight or later, you continue to push the boundaries of a station who has no interest of competing in the Queensland market of broadcasting with the AFL season. It leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth, considering the amount of money you paid for the broadcasting rights, how many adds you had preseason and also having the extra HD channels at your whim. Which could easily have Australia's national game televised. I guess last year you did show some games from after half time, so what should I have expected. Channel 7 you continue to disappoint.

I'm trying to watch the womens final. There are more ads than previously.

Oh the pain…

I've been away from oz for 8 years, recently returned. The levels of commercialism people are
exposed to here is frightening.

Couldn't agree with you more Ingrid.
Though my complaint is regarding the 5th set coverage after the Federer & Hewitt match. The commentator (don't know his name, I'm sure you will pick up on who I am talking about) of the Tsonga & Almagro match sounds like a complete amateur. I have never heard someone use the word 'Unbelievable' so much in my entire life. He has terrible grammar & just will not shut up.
Let us watch the tennis without your constant drone.

My complaint is also regarding Jim Courier. I have just watched the match tonight between Lleyton Hewitt and Roger Federer. Clearly Jim Courier has nothing at all positive to say about Lleyton Hewitt, only stating on numerous occasions how Roger Federer took his breath away (too much information quite frankly) - Come on Jim, you are commentating on an Australian program, so it would not hurt to actually say something positive on the Australian that is playing. In the third set, there were some incredible moments in Lleyton's game. I think you need to play it back and have a listen at how you constantly like to disagree with any of the australian commentators regarding his game. Absolutely appauling and as Roger so eloquently stated when you interviewed him regarding how many times roger had beaten Lleyton he simply said "come on Jim, you don't have to rub it in, they(the australian public) already know"! Beautifully said Roger!

Jim Courier, as a tennis commentator is obviously well informed. But could someone please tell him he doesn't have to talk non-stop? I have to turn the sound of sometimes because his voice goes on and on and all we want to do is watch the game. Most annoying.

I'm sorry. I'm the one that lobbied for Murder She Wrote. I love Angela Lansbury. Nobody liked that other show. Murder She Wrote is a classic. I have them all on DVD, but I still like to see it on TV like it was in the 1980s.

Those Friggin idiots at 7 Bundaberg. Delayed telecast of the Lions v Bulldogs in the Semi final. Shame! There building needs to be burned to the ground. If they can't do what the public wants, they should cease to exist. Boycott the wankers.

Channel 7 in Adelaide seem to be able to find time to be able to telecast a Crows or Port game live on a Friday evening, but we have to wait for all other games until 830pm. It is ridiculous. If it can be done for these two clubs, why not every other game. An interstate game does not affect crowd attendances. All it does is keep people up later. Half the time we do not watch the last half, as we know the result and would prefer not to have to wait until 11pm to watch it.

In another light, there should be discussions between 7, 10 and Fox. Too many times this year in Adelaide have both Fox and the free to air channels been playing the same game. Meanwhile, another game has been played and noone has been able to watch it. Just because we are in Adelaide does not mean that all people want to watch the Crows or Port. Sure, a large percentage do. However, what about those of us who like a bit of variety. I thought the whole idea of the telecast being split over 3 channels was to have more variety. Not have the same game being played on 2 channels.

The more and more the stations play around with the timings of the games, the less and less people are going to be interested in watching it. Especially when updates are readily available via the internet and mobiles. Until problems like this are rectified, the issues are only going to get worse.

I am fed up with channel 7 moving great programs usually suitable for 8.30 to 10.30 timeslots, eg Prison Break, 24, Lost, and changing them to 10.30 to midnight. This late timeslot is bombarded with pornographic advertisements which I would rather not be exposed to. I am already incensed these advertisements are allowed to be put to air but why subject the average viewer to them as well. Not every household has a secluded room in which to watch tv and quite often my under 13 year old children get up and walk past to go to the loo or they are up late doing homework and unless I am at the ready with the remote they are also subject to these disgusting unsolicited adds. They are also suggestive to the minds of adults who otherwise would not be seeking this kind of entertainment, and teenagers who are inquisitive and will dial the sms numbers just to see what happens. Tv stations should be more responsible and refuse to play these advertisements or at least let us watch our programs in the timeslots they were designed for.

Well, channel 7 in Brisbane you've done it again! The biggest game of the year in Aussie Rules(AFL) so far, and you failed to show it. Instead after you showed Sydney V Nth Melb. game, you chose to play repeats of Ripping yarns and What a carry on!
This after the St.Kilda v Geelong game was advertised to be shown on your station, in the Gold Coast fixture and TV guide for all codes. I was extremely disappointed in your efforts! Don't you realise that AFL is the only true NATIONAL game, and that there are so many AFL fans that have moved here from other states that your ratings would be far greater than re-runs of old programs. Just take a look at any game played in Brisbane, and you will see that a lot of the supporters(40+thousand)in the crowds are supporters of other teams, but you show most Brisbane Lions games on your station. I'm sure you could rectify this if you really wanted to, with a stroke of a pen. It's time to WAKE UP and smell the turf!

Can You believe it !

That after 13 rounds of AFL, two teams (Geelong & StKilda) are undefeated
They are playing each other in what has been rated as the Game of the century!

Channel & programmers have got no idea as we get to watch Sydney and North Melbourne instead.

What are you guys thinking ?

No. This is simply a forum where people can post their complaints. Nothing on here is forwarded to the company about whom you're complaining. You'd be better off contacting people at that channel rather than here.

Too right. We may be able to receive "free-to-air" programming, but we seem to be captive to whatever these damn stations want us to watch.

The AFL should be shot for allowing any of australias big three stations, having anything to do with AFL on TV, As they build the viewers up only to let them down every year, Shame on the AFL and shame on the Stations that purchase the rites just so other stations cannot play the games.

It's beyond belief. You'd think given the vested interest the AFL has in expanding the game in non-traditional states, they'd have snuck something in the contract about "actually showing games before midnight".

On a friday night, they show repeats of "Heartbeat" instead of showing the game live. On what planet will that deliver them better ratings.

Especially with all the thuggery in the NRL at the moment, it's the PERFECT time to go one on one with the lesser sport and bring a chunk of the viewership to the National Code.

Channel 10 aren't much better. 11.45 tonight they're showing the Dreamtime at the 'G match. Who on earth would prefer to watch "Alien Ressurrection" over live sport? What's more, 10 now has a 24hr digital sports channel with "One", yet they don't bother showing it live there either. The AFL needs to fix this.

If that's the case, then this is a lost cause. Money is too often the ONLY motivation for anything these days, and the corporations are the worst offenders. No-one wants to admit it, but the phrase, "Money makes the world go round", really is true. That sucks.

spot on mate, they are absolutely hopeless, they just refuse to show any footy, we can only hope when the next tv rights deal is done the afl dont allow channel 7 to get any of it. But i guess as long as the afl make plenty of money out of the deal it doesn't really matter if queensland get to see any.

I hear you, brother. 2017 will be no different. Channel Ten have done a great job covering the AFL season; I can't imagine why Seven would want broadcasting rights when they clearly have no HEART in it. I reduced to checking the Web for game updates, as the darn telecast of today's game between the Swans and Tigers will only start at 3pm.
