In march of 2023, I had purchased a 2012 bmw 550i, after picking the car up from the lot, I returned home, after approx. A week and a half of driving it back and forth to work 10 min. From home, the display read oil low add 1 qt. Asap so immediately I did so, figuring it was probably not filled to recommended level after last oil change I didn't think too much of it.. About 2 weeks passed and the same warning message displayed after starting the car, I promptly took the car directly to carmax they didn't offer any check or service then but scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out for me to bring the car in. Between the day I originally took the car in and the actual appointment, I had to add another qt. The appointment took approx., 1 hour. When the car was finished wink wink the mechanic brought it around and took the keys up to jeremy the service writer. The mechanic nudged jeremy around a corner where they were less visible to myself. And promptly began whispering to each other and obviously about the car which was just worked on or so briefly went over.' jeremy waved me up as the mechanic abruptly dodged eye contact with ne, in asked jeremy why the secrecy an he replied oh it was nothing not about you. Jeremy proceeded to give me a bs excuse that it was a loose hose clamp on top of and at the rear of the motor which all the oil was leaking. I told him the engine has no external leaks anywhere I checked it thoroughly myself there is nothing under where its parked and there is no smoke. I told him it was going somewhere internally, which he ignored me. He told me to bring it back if it happens again, and they would send it to bmw. A month went by and so it did, as I was driving, and then the engine light came on and said add coolant., I made another appointment, took the car, was given a loan car and said approx. 2 weeks. Was also told carmax was only liable for the oil problem that it originally was seen for. I stated to jeremiah that if the original oil problem had been addressed and thoroughly taken care of, more than likely the coolant problem would have been the severity would have been immensely reduced if not become an issue at all. It ended going to bavarian auto haus in reno, nevada, where the work was done. After the car was finished, jeremy informed me my portion of the bill would be $4,000 which floored me. After the aftermath I borrowed the said sum from the owner of the company I work for, and a week later the engine light came on again I was told by jeremy myself that

Carmax has already filled their obligation and they were basically wiping their hands clean, I had to have it fixed since its the only vehicle I own. I took the car into isaac at bavarian they looked at it and said there was another faulty sensor toward the bottom passenger side and deteriorated hose due to oil leaks that broke down the integrity of the rubber. The valve cover gasket and other hoses also had to be replaced. So it is right now as i'm typing this it is in the shop again and for another $4,000. I told isaac the problems I was having with jeremy at carmax, and isaac said he too was having problems with them signing off on parts and payment, and isaac told me that jeremy from carmax told him directly to only fix the things that were noticeable and would keep the engine light from coming on, and mask the underlying issues. So the motor mounts were shot, almost all hose connections, sensors, gaskets. Close too $12,000 of which carmax is only covering $4,000, the rest me and this started occurring only a couple of weeks after the purchase of the vehicle. Jeremy blatantly told me it was no longer the problem of carmax it was mine. Isaac "bavarian auto haus" stated to me he would provide to me all receipts of everything done on the car as well as a statement of the conversations between himself and jeremy of carmax to the effect of him him pushing to do as little as possible to fix the real problems with the car. In which in fact i'm paying to repair something for a third the price I purchased it for only months prior.
