We hosted a fundraiser at the location above on 9/18/19. The first complaint will be about the store manager approaching myself with my students raising his voice and being extremely rude. The next complaint will be that the store refused to accept digital copies of our flyer. Which is clearly stated on the email from marketing that they should be. Now all I can wonder is how much money we will not be getting from all our supporters that came through the drive through presenting a digital copy. While inside the store we had people come in and grab a flyer from our table since they were told they needed a paper flyer and when they walked up to the register they were told they could not accept the flyer that they had grabbed. I was well aware that flyers could not be handed out by us that we needed to be 150 feet away. But the young women grabbed the flyers themselves since the sole reason to come to Carls was to support our team. One of the young women requested to speak to the manager and the manager on site at the time stated that he was told by the store manager that they could not accept flyers from us. I feel as if none of the employees knew how to handle fundraisers, they would all either be stuck on "umm I'm sorry and Idk" when we had customers coming in to support us question why digital copies could not be accepted. My students even heard the store manager tell the other workers that we needed to be watched, making them feel like they were doing something wrong. We are a middle school running club, all we wanted was to raise funds for our club. All we got was the worst customer service I have ran into and I myself work as a receptionist so I know what it is to deal with customers. What we got was a store manager that was very confrontational, rude, a bit aggressive in his tone even, our supporters were turned away for presenting a digital copy of our flyer which was supposed to be accepted, when asked what the store managers full name was the employees only gave a first name. Once we found the email from marketing with the rules and regulations for our fundraiser that stated digital copies would be accepted I returned to the site. Only to be told they did not know anything. This store clearly needs to be taught the rules and regulations when it comes to fundraisers and the store manager would benefit from more customer service training. I am extremely disappointed in this locations' customer service, what I expect is just for this location to be informed of the dos and donts for fundraising and for the store manager to be spoken to or trained further in customer service.
