This is regarding your Badulla branch. I received a very wast service by ur staff hansi. Today she treated me very badly. I brought goods for 1025/= and pay 5000. I asked her to give me by 1000. She gave me 2000*2. Again I asked give me d balance by 1000*4. But she said"can't. y don't u know 2000/= also issued by government. I can't. I haven't 1000." But she has. Her talking slang apperas very badly. Worst behavior of ur employee. I'll never buy anything again from ur shops. Even I spread this to every one and I will never recommend Cargill's food city again to any one.
Deceiving promotions for busicuts
Today i went to malabe food city to buy some buiscuts and there was a poster among the kist spicy onion buiscuts which says that it's 30% off until 31st july (original price- 100rs) so i took the buiscut and went to pay the bill.. the girl at the counter scanned the barcode and asked me to pay the bill then when i paid 70rs (after dedicting the discount) she asked me to pay hundred as the promotion was only for the buyers who boughts goods more than 1000rs.. it was a soo annoying and i just paid the bill to not to get humiliated.. this things keep happening in several food cities.. they give customers deceiving promotions and earn money.. pleaae stop these thieves who steal from public in the daylight.. i sware there wasn't any note in the promotoon that said we have to buy goods more than 1000rs to enjoy the promotion.. this is a trick they use to fool people..
This is regarding the misbehaving of a worker in cargils food city nintavur branch. Please give all the workers a warning before I take their misbehaviour into social media's and make it a big issue
Yesterday I go to Norris canel (Colombo 10) cargills food city and bring some items. I paid LKR. But it's cashier didn't give me balance correctly.. I asked her about it. She need to given me 4 rs.. but she didn't give it or didn't transfer point cards or anything..I m very disappointed this customer service

kottikawatta Cargills food city near it is my house. Threatening to take my car I don't have a car. I have seen staff scolding children very badly. Such a bad experience. Angry with the manger.
The former manager was great.
Display price was RS. 280.00 per 1 Kg. Pasted sticker price was Rs. 246.50 per 1 Kg. Billing price was Rs. 380.00 per 1 Kg. The lady in the POS said the price is displayed related yesterday. I was disappointed after the taking the bill. I have attached pictures below. Please do not happen for this to another customer.

I am living in near the cargils food city pokunuvita kalutara they have power plantation it has toomuch sound it is very very unbearable we always complain to manger withing 6 months but she never try to resolve it please if you can mute it i think its better if you cant i will complain to police

it is really unpleasant follwing customers when they buying.Either they should well trained on judging customers only by looking their apperance.Keep that standarad of providing customer buying support , not like street shops. You might neglect this by thinking just only one customer, but you will decrease your customer rention base.

I decided to make this complaint due to poor customer care experience that we have faced not only once but twice from the same Athurugiriya 02 outlet (newly opened one).
1st incident has happened a few months back before the pandemic situation - we usually buy our essentials from this outlet. one day we bought 1 ltr. Anchor fresh milk bottle (Pack) and we realised which has expired nearly a months back after we came home.
we google the number and contact the manager (initially we contact your old outlet and get the contact from them) who was a lady, but the way she responded to us is not acceptable. she just simply ask us to return it to the outlet and buy a new one. no proper apology or acceptance of their fault due to this situation, we have drive back to the outlet about 5 Km from our home to meet this manager. we have informed the floor supervisor that we came to meet the manager after so many explanations to the minor staff and the supervisor she finally decided to meet us with a very annoying mood.
we are not expecting super care but in this modern world, small things can make big impacts. Most likely the superior's attitude cascade down to the minor staff. we just simply forget this incident and avoid this outlet as much as we can due to this incident.

the second incident happened very recently, we made an online order which is worth nearly LKR 5000. after a few hours, we got a call from this same outlet and told us most of the items that we have ordered not available and ask us to order some other goods because for delivery the bill minimum amount should exceed LKR 2500/=.
Due to this sudden call, we couldn't realize what we gonna add to our list, therefore, we inquire about the availability of goods which took about less than two minutes. we heard from that same lady rudely screaming to that girl to keep the phone down without wasting time with us. we never expected or experienced this kind of attitude.After we heard these harsh and unprofessional words, we simply canceled that order..Therefore we believe that this our duty to inform this to you hence few incidents like this can tarnish the brand and the whole company you have build over a period of time.

This is complaint about Food City (Ratmalana), i went there before celebrate my friend Birthday, i search the party snow spray but i couldn't found it, then i asked to one of staff, he said its finished but i feel i need to bring because already i have fixed in my mind, finally spend time and got it, then i went to that staff and told, its available. then finally went for pay the money but there in only one counter only working, but we there about 6 - 8 customers waiting, then i seen manager name and number in near to the security (Anoja - [protected]), i called her but no answer, i feel not only country even this small outlet also doing like same, its shame too. Kindly pass this message to relevant officer.

I bought 59g lettuce at thibirigasyaye foodcity yesterday. Price is 66RS for 100g. When i check bill, price is 390RS for 590g. Please check CCTV and get action that not to happen again.
Food CIty Arangala is equally bad...the Manager is missing most of the time. Some times one cashier or no cashier and we have to send messages inside for one of them to come out. Most of the time there is no one in the veggi / dry ration area for our assistance, therefore the security guard does that job ( kind of him) but that is not his job!
The pharmacy is purely a headache itself as there is no pharmacist most of the time...how can the staff ( cashiers)act as a pharmacist? it is once again nice of them to go beyond their duty but where is professionalism ? service to its customers ? As I am a resident of this area and quite regular the only 2 -3 cashiers know me and they are nice to me, however overall I would rate ( 1-10 ) - 1. Useless manager. Please turn around things here same goes with Malabe ( I would rate them totally unfriendly staff ) it has always been the case.
We spend so much money in to our groceries but the service is as if we are under obligation to shop at Cargills., that is the attitude of some of the staff.

I went to thalahena food city today. They had only one cashier but over 10 customers in the queue. I asked why is this? All are complaining but no good answer from them. Also they don't have large grocery bags. I bought over 4000 rupees of goods. All pack in a small grocery bags. Normally I had very bad feeling for all food cities because of this staff. I think they don't have a good customer training.
