I was told by body shop it would take at least 1 week to repair my car so I rented a car for 1 week Had to wait to take the car in Took a rental for 1 week on Monday and found out on Tuesday I would get the car back in 2 or 3 days
Called Budget office at 3667 W Florida Ave Hemet Ca 92545 and was told I would not get any refund to bring the car back early Also He took out a deposit of $300.00 plus the full rental of $392.69 from my bank account immediately and said It would take at least 3 or 4 days to get my deposit back I am a senior citizen on a limited budget and cannot afford to lose any money
What can I do? Rented the car on Monday June 21st and am supposed to return it on Monday June 28th My car is supposed to be ready by Thursday June 24th The phone number of the Budget office is [protected] I am 85 years old and feel like this is all wrong What can I do? Only option is to NOT rent from Budget again. The deposit we paid of $250 was never explained eventhough we prepaid on our budget account. Saw several people left the the counter due to given the information of the deposit, several people ahead of us were very upset and next trip our trip sas we travel quite often another car rental company will be any company but budget.

Similar issue of no refund for early return.

Booked a pre-paid car Dec 19th through Jan 2nd 2024 for my son visiting for Christmas. His return flight was booked Jan 1 , but local Budget office was closed Jan1 so had to take car through Jan 2. Since later my son had no plans for New Year's Eve we changed the Budget booking return to Dec 31.

At car return the local Budget office said i would have to talk to the 1-800 to get a refund.

The 1-800 response was that I had to contact Customer Care web address.

The customer care email contact has been responding with inconsistent, contradictory, nonsensical,invalid reasons why Budget will not refund.

The original reservation email received had a "terms and conditions" link which went blank.

Beware Budget pre-paid rental!
