Trying to cancel alarm service because I have moved but was told that I need to pay out the remaining 3 years on the contract and the cancellation would take 30 days. I need immediate, expedited cancellation! I am not longer living in the house and therefore have no need for alarm monitoring. And still waiting for documentation to start the process!

Misleading
I have had an issue with Brinks Home for a few months now. They were great in the beginning when I signed up. However, the problem really began when I discovered there was no signal going to central for six months. It took 2 more months after to rectify the situation. sales rep stated he would make sure i received a hard paper copy of the contract and i would receive a certain amount of money , we've tried many times to contact him but to no avail , he also stated that the permits would be submitted by the installers it has yet to be done ( solor panels are on my roof) the alarm system is in , the back yard camera is wired in wrong, and the front doorbell generator is in but the generator is the wrong size, what we are waiting for now is the generator , back yard camera to be wired in correctly and the solor power to be switched on. he also said something about being reimbursed for any bills from either brinks or vivit home until the power was on. by the way the sales reps name is william hawkins.

Home Security
Brinks Home Security is using my PII to exhort me for money! I know this sounds crazy, but they bought my information from my old security company, Protect America (who by the way sold my, social security number and date of birth and financial information) so that Brinks could setup an account in my name without my permission while I was overseas! I contacted Brinks when I noticed the debits, they told me they did not have an account for me. I contacted my bank, they told me they contacted Brinks, Brinks did not have an account for me and refunded my money. Now, a few years later, I have a collection company ZIONs Debt Collection, putting a collection on my credit! I created a case with the Better Business Bureau in 2021 and again on yesterday. NO ONE has the right to share my PII with anyone. I do not have an account with Brinks that I initiated and I want this OFF my credit report!
Desired outcome: Take the collection off my credit! I did not request your services. I have attached a copy of the original BBB report from 2021.

Brink's home security system
A guy named michael walker says he had office and worked for brinks in overland park kansas! I let him install a security system in my home. Its been over a year ago now! Its not worked a 100 percent since installed! Hes caused some electrical issues in my home due to his installing the alarm! So, now im gonna have to call a electrician to fix his screw up! I fully intend contacting the atourney generals' office, better business office, my atourney and the news media! I want a cancelled contract asap! A full money refund and your junk equipment ouy of my house asap!
Desired outcome: FULL MONEY REFUND! A COPY OF A CANCELED CONTRACT, ASAP! YOUR EQUIPMENT REMOVED FROM MY HOME ASAP!

BRINKS employees do not have a clue when it comes to customer service. ! very sad that i have been this company for 18 years and never missed a payment of been late. Brinks is the worse. First off your stuck with a three year contract that you cant get out of. The equipment is dated and doesn't work half of the time. Every time you do anything it extends your contract. My doorbell takes forever to see anything( the person is usually gone before I see anything. My camera's sends me an alert 1/2 hour after someone's detected. Get yourself a Ring alarm system because Brinks sucks.

Alarm panel black out.
We have talked to 5-6 people in Tech Support and have not gotten anywhere with what they instructed us to do. Our system have been out over 2 months we have bought batteries as they instructed, and system is not working.
People in Tech support have hung up on us several times.
We pay for service from Brinks and the customer service is very unprofessional.
We have asked for a service person to come out and tech support and customer service would not schedule it.
Needless to say I am very disappointed, very disappointed in Brinks service.
I will be calling Corporate in the morning and the Better Business Bureau. This is the horrible experience to go through with a service supposing to help protect your home.
Desired outcome: I want a service person to come out and fix the problem.

Avoid negative credit
Here is the overview. We sold our house Feb 2023 realized we were still getting charged the alarm service in March. We called 20 March 23 to cancel. They asked for our pin, our alarm phrase and or last four digits of credit card on file. On June 28, 2023, at about 2:30pm at American Village Retirement Community 1400 Freedom Way San Jacinto, CA 92583, a door-to-door salesperson who would not identify himself got into an altercation with two residents and threatened bodily harm. He was extremely agitated when asked to not solicit door to door. He was asked to set a time with the community to provide a presentation of Brink's Home Security at the next general meeting. He told the Directors on the Board at American Village he didn't care what was asked and he was doing his way, door to door. When asked several times to stop going door to door he told two residents: "I will F__k you up". He continued saying he would hurt people and made vulgar and violent comments to several Board members. Authorities were contacted but he exited from the complex quickly.
Desired outcome: Screen employees before sending salesmen to people's homes. Do niot send your salesmen to this facility again.

Unauthorized withdrawal for terminated service.
I have contacted Brinks to inform them that I no longer need their service. I was told on 3 April 2023, that the service will be terminated, and I should keep or dispose of the 11 years old system. I explained to them that Cove is my new security company effective March. I let the month of March pass because I already paid for, and I should not be billed anymore.
They withdrew the months of April and May. Called them again, several chat sessions and email them several times. I had my bank stop all payments and requested they file a fraudulent report and refund months of April and May. The continue to send noreply emails requesting payment. For a security company, its strange to me that they want payment for a terminated service. I expect two months refund. Next, BBB and Comptroller of Currency.
Desired outcome: I want 2 months of unauthorized withdrawals refunded.

Since my monthly fees kept increasing for no reason, I stopped my auto payment service and called in to cancel. Also much of my equipment was not working. They deny that I ever called in. I also wrote a letter and also sent an email asking to stop my service. They emailed back and it went to my junk mail. It stated that I have to electronically sign a document to stop the service. They kept billing me. I wrote another letter. Then then wrote to me and gave me a number to call into that was just not a "robo" person who just wants to collect money. That person sent me another email that I then signed and then thirty days later they stopped billing me. Or should I say $400 later. $400 to just try to stop a security service that was not longer working right. They are rude, inflexible, and the customer is never right! How is that for a way to run a business.
