I was told that when l came over to your company that you were going to reimburse me for paying off my old bill l pay my canceled fee and two months after I was with your company l canceled my old company ADT in September and still had to pay after I canceled them l gave your company all the information that you asked for but I still have not received my reimbursement check l was with ADT for 7 years and after that month to month no contract and lease never later because they took their money out directly and l gave all that information to your rep at Inquiries@brinkshome.com and they give me the run around and is very rude so can you please help me

Remove us from your 5 yr contract
Jan 12 sales guy konner Stephens came to our door. My husband let him into our house because he said Brinks bought out Fluent who we were currently using to monitor our house. He cont. to say he will need to update our system to Brinks so we can cont. to have a security system.
My husband agreed to the Brinks equipment and Konner replaced Fluent equipment to Brinks. We were told we had to sign a 5 yr contract. Now we owe Fluent 215.00 per Konner cancelled Fluent and we also owe our first bill of 120.09 to Brinks.
We missed our 3 days to cancel this Brinks contract and they will not let us out of it even though it was based on a lie and slamming us to get us as a customer. We want out of contract per the slamming and taking advantage of elderly people and disabled vet. my husband.

Service appointment
I am quite disappointed that my appointment was cancelled for 23 February which I made weeks ago.
there is no excuse for receiving a text message on the 21st that my appointment was cancelled due to service availability.
I can get a plumer and electrician within 24 hours -- why cannot I get someone to come to complete an agreed appointment and not wait 2 TWO weeks -- that is absolutely unacceptable.

indoor camera
I requested a camera that would show our front walk and front door for security reasons. Brinks sold me an indoor camera, came to the house and installed it in a window looking out over the areas I requested. It works fine...during the day only. It took me awhile (over 30 days) to realize I had no video at night. After calling Brinks, the first attempt they did not know why this was so. They moved this up to another person that told me the indoor camera would only reflect the window at night and should not have been sold to me for this purpose. I called customer service wanting them to take back the camera they sold me and replace it with an outdoor camera. I was willing to pay the difference. Since over 30 days they refused even though this was their error in the first place.

Discontinue service
I signed with Brinks 7/21/20 for a 36 month contract. Out of contract I chose to switch to Safe Home Security. I filled out all documents with the agent sent to assure that all documents were filed for a smooth transition. I continued to receive emails from Brinks stating I did not activate my service. I contacted my sales rep and he said call Brinks directly and discontinue service. I tried 12/30/23, 12/31/23 and again on 1/2/24 [two separate calls]. The first Brinks CS rep said I owe $1241.69 left under contract. I was out of my contract and said so when he said I signed for 3 yrs on 1/10/22. I said I did not. Called the 800 # and spoke to rep who said the same so I said send me the contract I signed and today I received a typed letter stating I signed up for 3 yrs on the 1/10/22 date that I did not. I would not signed a new contract when I was still under the original contract of 36 months signed on 7/21/20. I respectfully request you discontinue my service as I have paid for two months of non use already. I have since contacted my bank and refuse to pay you any more as I am not using your service and did not extend my contract.

Home security system
Where do I begin. The installation was horrible. My key pad was placed in a very unique place. My door bell camera is also crooked. These are not the major issues. I was unemployed for a few months so I had a couple of returned payments. I made up those payments when I started back work and I got everything on track. I just made a payment on November 3rd for $60.52. I made a double payment in the month of October and I made a payment in September to get my account caught up. I had only started the service in late June early July. I got an email yesterday saying that I had a return payment for over $200. since I work out of town, I could not call customer service until today. I called customer service and they tell me that I had a return payment all the way back from June and they were just now trying to collect the money with no warning no phone calls no emails just a random $200 deduction from my account which of course caused me to have an overdraft fee , I’ll call customer service to get some clarity. The first person I talk to was really nice and she tried to transfer me to a supervisor and the phone got disconnected. The next supervisor that I talk to was extremely rude and took no sympathy for my situation whatsoever she had to point out that I had multiple late payments even though I explain to her that I was unemployed for several months. Basically she belittled me and make me feel really bad. At this point I just told her that I no longer want to do business with this company and my request was that you guys remove the equipment from my home, repair the hole in my wall, and we never do business again she said sure, but it’s going to cost you and I told her that I was not going to give Brinks another dime of my money because of my bad experiences. Oh totally forgot to mention somehow someway the security system was put in my sons name when I simply put him down as a authorized user. I have no idea how this happened, especially since I never gave Brinks any of his information. I had to make several phone calls to get this issue corrected. They made me jump through a bunch of hoops. At this point I am extremely disappointed in the service. I wish I had never gotten the service and the way that I was treated by so-called supervisor was totally uncalled for. the people that answered the phone were very nice but the supervisor was extremely rude. Not even sure how she became a supervisor at this point. I no longer want to do business with this company. I just want the equipment removed the whole repair that you guys put in my wall and let’s just both count our losses and let me get on with the rest of my life.
Desired outcome: To have the equipment removed, and the hole in my wall repaired, and we never do business again. I refuse to give this company another dime!!!

Was on Autopay that was cancelled. I called and got handed off 3 Times, all to no results or real interest to resolve. Sent Text and received a response I have all this in writing. What is written below is my response to a Brinks survey request on August 29, 2023. No one from Brinks has responded to my request.
I’m requesting a manager call and speak with me. The overall service was horrible minus the service technician that came out on August 25, 2023. This nightmare begins on June 19, 2023, this is the day I ordered the sensors. I am not satisfied having to pay a $100 service fee for the technician coming out. This could have been avoided if the correct sensors that I requested “Thin Door/Window Contact (2GIG-DW10-345)” had been shipped to me. This ordeal went on for over two months which led us to leave our home not totally secured while traveling on business trips. On three, yes, three different occasions I was sent the wrong sensors. I was informed by a Brinks customer service representative that the correct order was sent over to the shipment department each time. The problem I was told occurred in the shipping department. The shipping department keeps filling the order incorrectly. I was reimbursed postage cost for two of the returned sensors shipment. When the first set of sensors arrived my wife and I spent over three and a half hours on Saturday, July 1, 2023, on the phone with Sandra Sanchez (Brinks Technician) trying to get the sensors activated before realizing I was sent the encrypt version (eSeries) of Thin Door/Window Contact (2GIG-DW10E-345). I was also sent the Honeywell Model 5816WMWH. I already have some of these exact sensors in my home that I ordered from Brinks in previous years. I would call Brinks after receiving the sensor in previous years to get them activated. With assistance from Brinks technician, we installed and activated those sensors in no more than thirty minutes. No service technician had to come to my home. Due to negligent shown to my order I am requesting the service fee of $100 plus taxes for the technician coming out be reimbursed.

Misleading
I have had an issue with Brinks Home for a few months now. They were great in the beginning when I signed up. However, the problem really began when I discovered there was no signal going to central for six months. It took 2 more months after to rectify the situation. After they attempted to charge me $600.00 for a new panel I told them I was not longer interested in doing business with them. I was sent to their Texas home office and they promised me a new panel but said it is now custom for the general public to install the new panel. I didn't have much to complain about that except, WHAT? No big deal, it was an easy thing to do. Then I started having problem with them again. I was told because they bought out another company they would not be able to send a technician out to fix the new panel but they would have someone zoom me. WHAT? I demanded a technician as i had enough of their lies. They said it was written in my contract. I respectfully informed them I did not sign a contract. They refuse to help me and now I am electing to get my lawyer involved. Not once did I authorize them to service my account when the other company sold out to them. Not once did they alert me when my system was down communicating with central. Brinks Home is a scam and have no regard for their customers. Imagine all the folks in distress because of break in, thinking they would be safe. My suggestion is to report to the Consumer Affairs. This scam has got to stop.

hard copy of contract and monies to be recieved
sales rep stated he would make sure i received a hard paper copy of the contract and i would receive a certain amount of money , we've tried many times to contact him but to no avail , he also stated that the permits would be submitted by the installers it has yet to be done ( solor panels are on my roof) the alarm system is in , the back yard camera is wired in wrong, and the front doorbell generator is in but the generator is the wrong size, what we are waiting for now is the generator , back yard camera to be wired in correctly and the solor power to be switched on. he also said something about being reimbursed for any bills from either brinks or vivit home until the power was on. by the way the sales reps name is william hawkins.

Home Security
Brinks Home Security is using my PII to exhort me for money! I know this sounds crazy, but they bought my information from my old security company, Protect America (who by the way sold my, social security number and date of birth and financial information) so that Brinks could setup an account in my name without my permission while I was overseas! I contacted Brinks when I noticed the debits, they told me they did not have an account for me. I contacted my bank, they told me they contacted Brinks, Brinks did not have an account for me and refunded my money. Now, a few years later, I have a collection company ZIONs Debt Collection, putting a collection on my credit! I created a case with the Better Business Bureau in 2021 and again on yesterday. NO ONE has the right to share my PII with anyone. I do not have an account with Brinks that I initiated and I want this OFF my credit report!
Desired outcome: Take the collection off my credit! I did not request your services. I have attached a copy of the original BBB report from 2021.

A guy named michael walker says he had office and worked for brinks in overland park kansas! I let him install a security system in my home. Its been over a year ago now! Its not worked a 100 percent since installed! Hes caused some electrical issues in my home due to his installing the alarm! So, now im gonna have to call a electrician to fix his screw up! I fully intend contacting the atourney generals' office, better business office, my atourney and the news media! I want a cancelled contract asap! A full money refund and your junk equipment ouy of my house asap!

Customer service dispute
BRINKS employees do not have a clue when it comes to customer service. !
very sad that i have been this company for 18 years and never missed a payment of been late. I called in on June 6th to update my auto pay account. and found out that they forced placed insurance for 7.99 without my permission. they claim i did a verbally agreement over the phone. But they could not send me any proof of this, they say it was a verbal contract but would not send me the phone tape from my conversation on June 6th, 2023, when i was supposed to have agreed i never heard of a verbal contract that is legal. So, in the meantime, i asked for it be removed, and they came back with we can't for 12 months due to a customer service rep sent me a new remote, she never advised me that i had to take the insurance to cover it, which i feel was coned.
and now I'm stuck with a higher bill . I ASKED IF I COULD SEND THE REOMTE BACK AND GET my BILL BACK DOWN AND THE SUPERVISOR SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 130.00 FOR IT. I TOLD HIM THAT I NEVER ASKED FOR IT. I'm 69 years young and i felt that i was abused and coned by brinks, now i can even look for a company due to that fact i would have to pay an early termination fee! 17 years of loyalty and this is how i was treated.
Desired outcome: Would like a call and figure out why this all happened! senior citizen abuse. If i do don't get a response i will file a complaint with the bbb and the state of az for seniors.

Home Alarm system
Brinks is the worse. First off your stuck with a three year contract that you cant get out of. The equipment is dated and doesn't work half of the time. Every time you do anything it extends your contract. My doorbell takes forever to see anything( the person is usually gone before I see anything. My camera's sends me an alert 1/2 hour after someone's detected. Get yourself a Ring alarm system because Brinks sucks.

0n 070523 I phoned Brinks advising that as we were moving to a retirement community in September of this year I would need to cancel my account with Brinks at that time. I was informed that I had approved a renewal of my contract for 4 years on 02/21/23, and that cancelling it before its termination would result in the need for a final payment of $1,786.75...

I purchased a $1400 home security system from Brinks. They never showed up for the appt bc there was an “error in their system”. I requested to cancel their services and full refund, and to send me return label for equipment delivered. They have yet to provide me with a return label and haven’t provided me with any confirmation bc they said they don’t do any confirmation but that the notes are left on the account; they can’t email me anything. I traveled almost 4 hours to make to the appointment (I have an email when they confirmed the appt.) They said I should receive an email within 2 hours from UPS with a return label on Friday 7/14. I called back in 4 hours and they said it would be 24-48 hours. I confirmed I should then be receiving the label at the latest Sunday. I never received it. I called them Monday, today 7/17; they said I should receive it by 2pm bc its actually 24-48 business hours (not what I was told). I still have not received a label but they said they’d resend it but would take another 24-48 hours.

Alarm panel black out.
We have talked to 5-6 people in Tech Support and have not gotten anywhere with what they instructed us to do. Our system have been out over 2 months we have bought batteries as they instructed, and system is not working.
People in Tech support have hung up on us several times.
We pay for service from Brinks and the customer service is very unprofessional.
We have asked for a service person to come out and tech support and customer service would not schedule it.
Needless to say I am very disappointed, very disappointed in Brinks service.
I will be calling Corporate in the morning and the Better Business Bureau. This is the horrible experience to go through with a service supposing to help protect your home.
Desired outcome: I want a service person to come out and fix the problem.

Here is the overview. We sold our house Feb 2023 realized we were still getting charged the alarm service in March. We called 20 March 23 to cancel. They asked for our pin, our alarm phrase and or last four digits of credit card on file.
