0n 070523 I phoned Brinks advising that as we were moving to a retirement community in September of this year I would need to cancel my account with Brinks at that time. I was informed that I had approved a renewal of my contract for 4 years on 02/21/23, and that cancelling it before its termination would result in the need for a final payment of $1,786.75 by 080523. I stated that I could not knowingly have agreed to a 4 year extension since we knew we would be moving to another home within the next 2-3 years. I asked to be sent proof that I had approved a 4 year extension. To date (072423) I have received no confirmation or follow-up of any kind.
Desired outcome: Discontinue Service on 10/01/23 with no penalty. I have always paid my bills on time since we started using this service with Monitronics 10 years ago
