RE: 2 night "non-cancellable" reservation on Booking.com Booking #5279367546 at the Tunnicliff Inn in Cooperstown, NY, June 10 - June 13, 2026,." It was only after I made my reservation yesterday on Booking.com on Thursday, June 25, that I learned from an email message from Booking.com that this property only has a standard room with a queen size bed up two flights of steps from the ground floor and does not have an elevator. My wife has a serious arthritic knee condition under medical care, and having to navigate two flights of steps will so aggrivate her pain and make it impossible for her (and me) to enjoy our vacation. No one from Booking.com, or the hotel, have returned my emails to them over two days to resolve this problem. I cannot even reach a customer rep at Booking. com, even after my emails to it, and its 888 Customer Service number on its site, which is automated and has not been any help. I cannot afford to lose my reservation payment but promptly want to cancel if all else fails so as to afford reserving at another nearby hotel with a satisfactory room.
Claimed loss: $472.63 hotel, $712 Glimmering Music Festival, $59.74, Hall of Fame, Total of $1243.74.
Desired outcome: A first-floor room at the hotel, with one king size bed or two queen size beds, or same at nearby hotel to our satisfaction, or refund of $472 for hotel, and full reimbursement for pre-purchase of tickets.
