On 3/19/22 we made a reservation through Booking.com for the Super 8 Motel West in Albequerque, NM. Your description gave us reason to believe we would have a clean room with breakfast the next morning before resuming our travel.

Upon checkin, we were told they did not provide breakfast and there was no compensation for the misrepresentation.

Upon entering our room, I discovered what appeared to be dog poop on the floor. I notified the night manager and was told the maintenance man would come take care of it since no other rooms were available.

While waiting for the cleanup, my wife went to the pop machine outside the front desk and heard the manager and maint discussing it and the manager was told there was not dog poop. My wife stepped into the room and assured them there was poop on the floor since she saw it. She was then told she would have to clean it up. She assured them she would not. Apparently someone believed we had a dog and it was our dogs poop. We did not have a dog with us. The maint guy did eventually come up to the room and removed the poop and sprayed the floor with deodorant spray. He also returned a while with a couple cups of coffee, I guess to somehow compensate for the experience.

The following morning, my wife spoke to the day manager and she did not appologize or offer any sort of compensation for the false advertising of the breakfast or for the dog poop. She said we would have to take it up with booking.com.

So, I am taking it up with booking.com

Desired outcome: I would like a complete refund of 125.25 we paid for this experience, and I would like this motel removed from the booking site.

I wish that I had known about all these experiences before booking my hotel.

It would have saved me time, money and anxiety.

When one books a reservation there is no way of knowing what you are going to get. The photos are made to encourage business.

Sadly, it's like swimming in the dark. You take your chances.

The more you pay, usually... the better quality.
