BioLife Plasma Services Worcester donation center

Don’t waste my time. I went through the screening process, and then I sat there in the bed for an hour, and nobody started my donation. I am a teacher, and I just thought a little extra money will be fun. But don’t waste my time. If you just could’ve told me to go to another section, I would have happily moved. But instead, I walked out. My time is valuable to me. Don’t waste my time.

Desired outcome: I was able to donate, and I was taken care of in a timely manner.

BioLife Plasma Services Donation issues and front desk as well as head manager

The rest of the staff and management are unorganized. However the Phlebotimist are fine. The staff including the manger named Austin told me to download their unusable application that prompts you to get a physical when you already had one. It took them 2 weeks or more to even fix the application to properly display donations last time which was only done because the at the time manager Austin just happend to be at the front counter. This place will lie to you about your new donor status. Short change you then just point at 30-day policy and then refuse to compensate you for their mistake by using loop holes and claiming that good old cliche "Not my kids" my employees would never do that... and been told to call corporate. As a resolution... Good company you got here... felt I need to put this here first before doing as I am told by the manager to go to corporate. *Update was also informed that I would have to scour the Internet to het ahold of the number to Corporate because they do not give that number out to Donors...

Desired outcome: Full Compensation for time and "Donations".

BioLife Plasma Services Overbooking

Seems silly to be even writing this, but Vista Biolife is constantly overbooking their appointment times. Today I arrived and all the beds were completely full. An additional 15 people were waiting, leaned up against the wall. AND 6 people in front of me in line for vitals! You don't have the space. Very disappointing as this has become a regular occurrence. More concerned about the money you make off of us rather than caring for our time.

BioLife Plasma Services Entire experience

I came in as a NEW DONOR.

I literally got through everything all the way.. over an hour and a half being there…. To be told a MENTAL HEALTH diagnosis that I don’t take meds for (so no need to see a psychiatrist) is the reason I was told I can’t donate plasma.

First of all. Mental health diagnosis has absolutely nothing to do with plasma donations UNLESS SOMEONE IS ON PSYCH MEDS it should never have been any kind of issue.

Secondly. I watch DRUG USERS get to donate and they are OBVIOUSLY lying about what they put in their bodies.

Thirdly, My mental health is nobody’s business and I will NEVER involve any therapist or doctors to fill out forms so your company will allow me to donate.

And lastly.

I am going through a lot of financial problems and this donation compensation would have taken care of a serious financial crisis im in. A completely healthy person was deferred and humiliated because of my mental health diagnosis. And I was offered COUPONS TO MAKE UP FOR IT! Despicable! Humiliated me and triggered enormous extra stress on me.

I will never return. I will never have any dr fill out anything giving my personal mental health information to you people and I will tell everyone not to come to your company because other donation places don’t do that!

Desired outcome: Compensation for the wasted time today and an apology for causing me extreme anxiety and stress.

BioLife Plasma Services Turned down for no solid reason, and disrespected by a manager.

My name is jameon cox. I was at biolife on east Paris to donate. Unfortunately I was told I couldn’t because wasn’t clear by doctor for a accident that happened almost two months ago.but i was actually cleared to go back to work just not super physical labor work. I’m currently been unemployed for almost two months and having major financial problems . So me dealing with that , I asked to speak to manager so I can get more clarity. Well the manager I talked to was very rude also keep over talking me(mocking me) because I had a a little sturdier when talk fast. All I asked her after she explained why I couldn’t donate. “ can I get that defer in writing or something” so I can show my case worker and financial assistant that I’m out here trying to get jobs and other means of making money and keep getting turned downed. I just wanted that documented for them. But the most embarrassing thing is I had explained my financial situation out loud, only to explain why it’s important for the paperwork, and also she repeats my situation I told her with workers comp out loud and kept saying “ workers comp!? This is not a job” ( 2x). I’m not looking to get someone in trouble or start anything it’s just the way I felt when I lefted was just….mortifying.thanks for taking your time to read this to whom reading.

BioLife Plasma Services Ordered to leave because I forgot my phone in my car

I went to Biolife in Hayden, Idaho this morning, and was in a rush to get in because I have work. I forgot my phone in my car and realized it after I filled out the ipad, so I tried to get the attention of an employee who was clearly not busy to see if I could run out and grab it. She glanced at me then looked away quickly and ignored everything I said after that without any regard for me. I assumed it would be fine if I did so I ran out and grabbed it which took about 5 seconds. When I entered back in the building the lady was quite rude and said “Sir, once you leave the building I am not able to let you donate”. I told her I was trying to get her attention and she ignored me but all she said was, “Sorry, I can’t help you”. I was pretty ticked off at that point because I really needed gas money and was awaiting my paycheck. Instead I wasted gas going to biolife just to be told I can’t donate because one of the employees didn’t want to help me with a simple question.

BioLife Plasma Services Plasma donation

09/19/2022

Sat through 2 hours of intake to be denied because of being a medical Marijuana patient. I informed them of this within the first hour of the beginning of intake and was denied for it at the end of the 2 hours. My medical Marijuana was an issue for their system not allowing "narcotics" but my prescription for Ritalin didn't disqualify me despite it being a controlled narcotics as well. Medical Marijuana laws protect people from this exact discrimination

Desired outcome: I'd like an apology and response for why I was dragged through the intake without anyone informing me my meds automatically disqualified me and also why medical Marijuana is not allowed but Ritalin is

BioLife Plasma Services Staff communication

I recently drove 40 miles to the biolife center to learn that I couldn't donate because they were waiting for protein test results. They had taken blood samples 2 days prior when I donated but never said why or that I needed to follow up before donating again. I feel a huge lack of communication from staff. From my first donation no one explained the process, what was happening or what to expect. One staff member was rude when my friend experienced complications during one of her donations. I'm waiting to see if I hear from anyone regarding my blood tests. I'm not following up until I hear from staff.

BioLife Plasma Services I have up in discriminated against by lady named Tasha at BioLife she also refused to give me what I'm entitled to

I referred two friends of mine to bio life in Jacksonville Florida I was told if they make two donations then I will receive $100 sent to my card well today I go in to donate plasma and to pick my $100 up that I was promised only to be discriminated against by the lady named Tasha first she discriminated against me and put someone else in front of me that was a colored lady taking mind I'm white race standing there and also a white male was standing there in line she put that lady in front of us to be seen first that wasn't allowed but she did it anyway well when I go in to try to collect my hundred dollars after I activated my card she told me that the people would have to come in that I gave the referral to in order for me to receive my $100 this is not true according to the guidelines so the way I see it they refuse to give me what I was entitled to

Desired outcome: I expect apology from the lady for discriminating against me and refusing to pay me what was owed to me I expect my $100

BioLife Plasma Services Cannot talk to anyone

I have tried for several days now to to reach somebody on the phone at several locations of biolife plasma... No matter what prompt you push you cannot speak to anyone and if you leave a voicemail you're wasting your time no one ever calls back.. if someone could please tell me why they have a phone if they do not know how to use it or too lazy to answer it when someone is trying to figure out important information to use biolife services...

BioLife Plasma Services Appleton Location

I was a returning donor to BioLife. I had to report all new tattoos and piercings to them and I was told that I donated in the period when I got one. I told them the date I thought I got the piercing and then later that day I found a photo on my phone when I actually got it pierced and reported it back to them. Coming to find out I didn’t actually donate in that period when I got it. They then terminated my donating opportunities for life. They didn’t even give me a chance to be trusted over this and I think everyone deserves a second chance.

Desired outcome: I’d like to be a donor again because people make mistakes and they can be fixed. But BioLife I guess is untrustworthy of their clients. They always push for more donors, but then push the ones they have away.

BioLife Plasma Services Banned for life due to inaccurate blood work that they conducted.

Over 20 years ago after routine blood work I was told levels in my liver were off which was indicative of early stages of liver shutting down. I was not allowed to be retested. My liver continues to work just fine, and I have never had any liver problems. I recently went back to try and be reinstated since obviously there test was wrong. They agreed that my health is fine and that they were wrong, but said there isn't a procedure to be reinstated. I feel I'm being punished for their mistake, and discriminated against for a health condition that I've never had

BioLife Plasma Services Donor Mistreatment

I experienced micro-aggression twice at the Columbus center for absolutely no reason. The women have tried to defer me for no reason. I know this because I do exactly what’s asked to have a successful donation. Today the technician tells me she knows “ we” don’t think it matters to make a tight fist and decides to play with the needle in my arm. Then I speak to the manager and she completely downplays my experience, which she is mildly racist and it’s no surprise why the techs act the way they do when it’s clear they have some unspoken bias against donors they don’t like. Juvenile and unprofessional, I will speak to who I need to over this manager to get this matter resolved.

Desired outcome: I would like real consequences for the mistreatment I experienced at this center.

BioLife Plasma Services Banned due to “trying to hide an injury” and “lying on the intake question”

I donated last on Wednesday 8/24/2022 at the Laramie center and I walked in to the center with a walking boot filled out the intake questions honestly answered no I was feeling okay to donate and no I didn’t have an new injury, I got cleared to go to a bed. It was then that one of the phlebotomist asked me if I told anyone about the boot and I replied no was I supposed to? And I was taken to the physical room where the nurses asked me questions about the boot like if I had a new injury I replied no the boot was only for stability when my MRI was taken I told the nurse I had a MRI in June in Pueblo and it showed no fracture or injuries. I was then weighed again without the boot and put back on a machine. The next day Thursday the same nurse called me and informed me that she needed more information I called back and told her when my mri was taken and that it was taken in Pueblo and that I had an appointment with my foot doctor on Thursday the 1St of September she then informed me that I needed to supply the center with my MRI report and a doctors note clearing me of any new injuries and letting them know that it’s safe for me to donate so the next day Friday I got a doctors note and a copy of my MRI and faxed it to the center that afternoon I received another call from the nurse and I called her back that was when she informed me that I was no longer allowed to donate because the management staff felt like I wasn’t being honest with my intake questions and trying to hide my injury which I did not have I feel like I should not be banned from the center for not being honest because I was feeling well to donate and as it states in the letter from the doctor I have no new injuries which I let the nurses know and I also feel that If I was trying to hide an injury I would not have given a doctors note or a copy of my MRI which I was asked for.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and to Be allowed to donate again or compensation

BioLife Plasma Services Inadequate handling of hazardous material

I was donating plasma at the Biolife Center on the morning of August 6, 2022. At approximately 10:18am when the tech was cleaning up the equipment from the gurney to my left. The tech did not seal the blood line tube correctly resulting in spilling the patients blood on my clothing from the patient that was utilizing the machine to my left prior. A special incident report was taken after the occurrence. I did mention to the manager in charge that the beds are too close to each other and by spacing out the beds a little more, that could avoid future occurrences of spilling blood on others. Upon my return to donate on August 28, 2022 after a couple weeks hiatus from having spilled blood on my clothing from a Biolife tech, I noticed the gurneys have not been spaced apart as I suggested and the beds continue to remain within close proximity from one another. Although I was told, I was the first this incident happened to at this Biolife Center location, I found this experience to be quite disturbing. The thought of having someone's blood splashed on my clothing should not have occurred if the technician had taken proper measures and or follow precise protocol to ensure the the blood line tube was properly sealed.

Desired outcome: Space out journeys to avoid future occurrences of blood for optimal health and safety. Financial compensation for the time I missed donating. Ongoing coupons that allow increased incentives than the normal low budget donation amounts.

BioLife Plasma Services Donation Referral

My wife who has always been reluctant to donate was finally convinced by me when I told her I would receive a referral monetary bonus. I sent her a link through my app and she donated at the Addison, IL facility on Aug 24th.

When she asked the intake nurse to input my information as a referral she was informed they do not do referrals anymore. After her donation she approached the front desk to complain and was informed they are not doing referrals in the Month of August...

How can a corporation with an incentive based referral system not honor their arrangement? This is tantamount to bait and switch! I have been donating since 2020 and both my wife and I are bow considering using a competitor who will honor their arrangements.
