Purchased a few items at Opry Mills kiosk. Rated as a 2 because I do like the products but the sales tactics/pricing is why I rated low.
When I arrived home read reviews online when considering making an additional purchase, I compared the online pricing to the kiosk pricing and was astonished. I also learned that others have had the same experience with the sales tactics at the Bella Terra kiosk in Opry Mills mall.
Sales person was nice and kept trying to push me to buy more products. I stood my ground and purchased only what I wanted. At the end of the sale, I was given a “few free items” that I didn’t request or need. I know better than believing something is for free. At the end of the sale - I also continues to turn down purchasing the eyebrow pencil that the sales person kept wanting me to buy.
When I arrived home decided would like to purchase the eyebrow pencil - so I went on line - after reading reviews, I looked at my receipt. Noted that the price I paid in total for all in my bag including the “free items” was actually the price of all in my bag using the on line prices - so nothing was free. The “free items” I didn’t want nor need I actually paid for. Receipt shows products I purchased were essentially upcharged to cover the cost of the “free” items. Double the price, compared to online pricing, to cover the cost of the “free” items.
I was also informed during the sale that I may also purchase products on line through Bella Terra and even at Sephora. I just checked at Sephora and Ulta - Bella Terra products are not sold there.
I really do like the Bella Terra products but the unethical sales tactic/misleading consumers was not appreciated and unnecessarily tarnishes the reputation of Bella Terra! Unethical tactics for a short term sale DOES NOT build long term brand loyalty or future sales.
