I in no way authorised an automatic deduction of R1197.00 from my bank account after purchasing the R80.00 1 month service. The amount can not be reversed by my bank as it was not taken as a debit order but as a purchase...very clever! This is fraud and I demand that my profile be deleted immediately and the payment of R1197.00 be refunded.

I've been in communication with Upper Class Collections and have paid the required amount.

I now wish to cancel the subscription with the online dating service of Be2 S.a.r.l internet dating, for good.
And look forward to receiving the cancellation email from Be2, stating my subscription has been canceled.

It's VERY easy to get a Premium membership online.
VERY easy to subscribe and give them your bank account informations.
BUT... Why can't I unsubscribe as easy?
Anyone can misuse my creditcard for a subscribtion.

What experiences do you have?
Can anyone show me where to unsubscribe online?

Best regards Kim

I have been just charged €99.99 for a subscription I do not have with BE2. I joined free last year, didn't upgrade to premium and the card the money has been taken from is a new card from a new account only opened this year. The details of which, were never submitted to the site.

This subscription has been deducted from my account for some time. The instruction to cancel are very complicated and I cannot access it.It is over two years since I used this site but they keep billing me every month.Surely this can not be allowed . I wish to apply to get my subscriptions back from the date of last use.

I've just had €99.99 taken from my bank account and I haven't even joined as a premium member. The last time I was online with them, was august 2017, the money was taken from a new bank account/debit card that would never have been registered with the account!

You can trace the Directors past and present using linkd I in via the names on the correspondence
I then found them on Facebook and messaged them, even those who claim they are no longer directors. They are now directors of tangent companies. I then found their link to other directors and contacts and wrote to all of them. In fact I became a kind of stalker detective.. Finally the director, who denied being a director, contacted a staff member, who was not his staff member, from a company he does not belong to, and all was cecancelled and sorted and refunded within 24 hours . I did this several yeSrs ago, and have none if the info to pass onto you. But it can be done. Other than that you can swallow the loss and cancel the card. Best of luck Diane

I have also experienced problems with Be2, mainly the non existent customer service department and the fact that you cannot cancel membership by email or by phone.
They do not make it clear there is a 6 month payment to be paid after the initial joining fee of £5. They tried to take £149 off me which my bank stopped, Be2 is now trying to call me a fraud!
Company is a nightmare, I have nothing positiive to say on the subject, all I can say is don't ever sign up with them!

BE2 is registered in Switzerland, and I have pursued the business thru the Swiss department of Fair Trading (SECO). I would suggest that all that have been stung by BE2 also complain to this organisation. Here is a response from SECO:
"According to Swiss law, contracts concerning partner or dating agencies must be cancellable at any time (Art. 406d OR). Therefore the termination of your mother in law must be accepted by “be2” at any time, regardless of what their general conditions say. And if the cancellation become legally effective, there exists no payment obligation"

The more people that complain to the SECO, the better the opportunity to have this company deregistered.

Lying, scamming, theiving bunch of C***s. IF you trawl through all their ### conditions you will find that it's 7 days BEFORE renewal is due if you have taken out the £5 30 day trial. Funnily enough I cancelled the card I had used 4 days after taking out membership, and was blacklisted from the site within 6 days for "Fraudulent use of the site, stopping payments"!, although there shouldn't have been any attempt to debit the card for another 20 days!

"Unfortunately a withdrawal from your contract with be2 is no longer possible. This is because you have already been in touch with your partner recommendations and as such, have already used the services you paid for."

This is complete bollocks, of course you've used it, that's the whole idea of joining the site! You have paid for the service, using it does not imply that you will continue to do so, and does NOT waive any cancellation rights

These Scamming F******s need bringing to book

2 years ago i've signed up for this be2 service and they wrote on their website that they have this monthly plan which is about SGD$19.90 per month for a year. Thus, I've opted for the monthly option. However, they directly charged me the full 1 year amount to my bank account, which was about SGD$240. I was very very upset and sent a email to them to enquire about it and their reply was :

Thank you for your message.

We are sorry but we do not offer monthly payments.

We apoligise for your inconvenience, please feel free to contact us again f you have anymore questions.

Sincerely,

David Lim
be2 customer service

The website stated that its $19.90 per month! And how dare they charge me the full amount without stating when i was paying. Then a year later, they suddenly went into my account and robbed me another $240 without even informing me. The terms and conditions before my payment did not even state that there is a auto renewal service and i could not even opt out for it. I demanded for my $240 back and they replied me with this:

Dear kangaroo_88,

Thank you for your message.

Please note that you have agreed to our terms and conditions which state the automatic extension. This extension is also clearly stated when you choose to sign up for your period of Premium Membership and in the payment receipt you receive after the purchase.

There has been no attempt to cancel on your part, hence your Premium Membership has been extended in accordance with the terms and conditions.

I regret that in cases such as this no refund is possible.

Please contact us if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,

Lucy Miller
be2 customer service

Then last week, a week before the plan renewal, i've went to the settings and cancelled my membership. They asked me to print the form and fax to them. And so i did, i even switched my bank account to prevent them from robbing my money. And they sent me a email threatening me to pay up. I've emailed to them stating that i have already cancelled the membership thru the web and have sent the fax with my name signed on it and done whatever they told me to do. And this is what they emailed me again:

please mind that we need a written and signed cancellation form at least 14 days before your membership expires. This is clearly stated in your payment receipt.

We didn't receive a cancellation before the 04.10.2011.

You state, you already sent it on the 27.09.2011, which would have also been too late to avoid the renewal.

So we need to remind you:

We have not been able to retrieve the latest membership fee from you. Note that you still have a contract with us. We are now asking you to respect the contractual relationship between us and update your payment details on our website directly after logging in.

Please comply with our request, or we will be forced to start our debt collection routine.

Help is also available at any time by clicking „Support“ on our homepage.

Hi
I have been scammed like everyone else, the website itself was rubbish, it was not made clear you had to cancel for 14 days otherwise they would charge you for a whole year. They tried to take 170 euros from my account but luckily my bank returned it as they tought it was fraud.
HOWEVER 8 months later I have received a letter from Intrum Justitia which is a German Debt collecting company reqyuesting 260 euros.

I have reported them to The office of fair trading in the UK http://www.oft.gov.uk/ who in turn have refered me to a European Consumer agency.
I am trying to track all named staff on the net (not easy but have some leads)
i have joined google blog http://antibe2scam.blogspot.com/2009/03/watch-out-be2-scam.html
This website needs to be taken down NOW. Might even contact watchdog.

Repeated post:
Dear all
THIS COMPANY IS BOGUS and the people/person who works for them are criminals. They have no interest in helping people find love.
The only way you will escape their thieving ways is to CANCEL the debit or credit card with which you paid the £5 trial membership with.
There is NO other way. By emailing them and trawling their site, you are wasting your time as whatever you do to cancel, no matter how early, they will still take money from you and feed you complete rubbish about not being able to cancel.
I went through hell trying to cancel - I mean, hours and hours of hell, frustration and tears. I contacted my bank and they advised me to cancel my debit card immediately. I did and Be2.co.uk never contacted me to chase me for the money!
Sorted!
It may be a bit of a hassle being without a debit or credit card for 3 days while the bank sends you a new card with a new account number, but I'm sure you'll agree that this is nothing compared to the distress you would experience if this disgrace of a company stole over £150 from you.
Good luck!
