I purchased a rug online last night and found a different item today. When I attempted to call early this morning to cancel, I was told that I am unable to cancel my order. BB&B's policy is the customer has 60 minutes to make a return or else you are NEVER able to return an item, without of course the customer spending extra money to have it sent back. This as you would imagine is not posted anywhere on their app or website. The company was also dishonest and stated that my item had already shipped because it had a tracking number and therefore they couldn't stop or cancel the sale and refund my purchase. I verified with Fed ex that the item had not left the warehouse but the customer service reps ALL informed me that was the same thing. IT IS NOT. I was also told, during my 5 phone calls that BB&B 's policy is to wait 24-48 hours to speak to a manager. After my 5th call, apparently they don't follow that policy because I was able to talk to a manager who I could barely understand and just read from a script repeating what the other 5 customer service agents also said. I am furious at this level of unacceptable customer service. They refused to help me, come up with any solution and were dishonest and less than helpful, regardless of whom I spoke with. It takes a lot for me to get on a public forum to report poor service but this goes beyond. I am freezing the sale with my credit card company and I promise to let every person I speak with know what an awful company Bed Bath and Beyond is. Dishonest and just bottom level, scam like swap meet behavior from a well known company. You should be ashamed.
Recommendation: DO NOT EVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY
