It is truly unbelievable how incompetent ALL your employees are, no one pays attention or listens, I will be closing all my B OF A accounts in the future. Your people that work for you are absolutely useless let alone no one from your corporate office is competent enough to call me back personally. If you like to know more please contact me I do not want to hear from a low level employee. This will be the last email I will send.

ALL,

I hate to sound like a broken record, but your employee really need to do a better job, the saga continues and this may be the last straw. On Monday 7/30/2018 I went with my 88 year old mother who is walker bound into your Encino branch and met with ABDUL to open up 2 new checking accounts. I explained to him that we needed the check right of way because it is the beginning of the month and my mother and I need to pay the bills. He had told us we should receive the checks within 3 business day. I call Abdul yesterday to tell him we have not received the checks and left him a message with RP the branch manager. I did not hear back from Abdul. I called you 800 number today to find out about the checks and Malia in New Mexico confirmed that the CHECKS WERE NEVER ORDERED. Also yesterday I called your fraud department to have my mothers SS check transfer into the new household account and your rep not only transfer this money out but transfer the entire balance out of the closed account into the new account. HOW COME? This experiance has been unbelievable and I am truly sad to say that your institution really needs some TLC because this exercise and experiance has been fully pathetic and I am sorry to be a great patron OF B of A. Unfortunately you get 5 thumbs down. I now do expect to hear back from maybe the CEO himself to make a humble apology for what is currently taking place, YUK! All of you should be ashamed of yourself for not doing the job that is expected. I look forward hearing back from you!

Respectfully,

EDWARD A DUBINSKY

Bank of America business account

I opened a personal account at BofA then later opened a business account. I had a savings. My business is a global business deals with companies and clients from around the world and in the United States.
On the second day after receiving my atm card it was frozen. I couldn't get any money then I had to answer stupid questions in the name of security. I just got the card. In a short time later my accounts were frozen with 44, 000.00 told they can shut down an account whenever they want per customer service. The service at the branch was pretty cold. I didn't find I was welcomed as a client of trust. I followed all of the requirements of accounts. Anything that was done was by the banker at the bank. I always go into the bank so I am not at error for anything. I was given the run around, bullied by customer service even after I sent a letter to the corporate office and OCC. I finally received the money and continued on with my business but I should have sued for bully tactics in business to just go away. They should have been forced to pay interest for every day they held my business money. To top it off I help with orphanages and an orphanage was waiting for some of that money. So way to go BOFA stupidity in your tactics of procedures before treatment of respect to your client. In my opinion and experience from BofA.

Bank of America problem with bonus offer, acc no: [protected]

On 11/2/17 I received an offer for $300 bonus, copy at the end of the letter,
I opened a BofA account, but couldn't fulfill the conditions and I closed this account.
On 1/24/18 I received a second offer for $300, identical to the first one, copy at the end of the letter.
I assumed that the bank still wants my business and decided to give me a second chance. If that's not so, why they send me the second invitation ?!
Now I had enough time to fulfill all conditions. I opened a new account, set up two direct deposits and had the required sum by the required time.
I was refused the promised bonus for reasons I don't understand.
Please explain to me what's going on.
Thank you.

Bank of America maintenance fees/ customer service

Recently realized I was being charged $12 for monthly maintenance fees. I called customer service and the experience was horrible! I asked for courtesy credit for the fees and was denied. The agent who answered (TJ?) was not very customer friendly. I asked to speak to a supervisor and (Savannah) would not speak to me. Really? I closed the one account with the agent and will work to close the primary and savings. I guess if you don't have millions you are not important. Willing to lose a dedicated customer for over 20 years for $24. WOW!

Bank of America checking account

Bank of America is crooks. My balance was $1605.84 on 07/31/18. I withdraw $1210.00 at the bank and had a transaction come in for $390. Now my balance is $5.84. After 8pm I withdrew $200.00 from the atm and it said I would have to pay a $35 fee which I accepted. On 07/31/18 they charged me a $35 overdraft fee and on 08/01/18 they charged me another overdraft fee. I called customer service spoke with a representative who transferred me to her supervisor who transferred me to her manager. They are all stating when I withdraw the $200 from the atm, they put a $200 hold on my balance so It brought it to $1405.84 and after they posted the transaction for $1210.00 and $390.00 my balance was negative $194.14 so they charged me a fee. Then they charged me a fee for the $200.00 that was on hold from me taking out the $200.00 same day that did not clear the bank. Now if you do the math $1605.84 - $200.00 - $1210.00 - $390.00 = -$194.16. So no matter which way you do it I should have only been charged one fee. These crooks settled in a lawsuit with similar cases like this one. I have nothing good to say about Bank of America and will never refer anyone to this company.

Bank of America fighting a valid fraudulent claim for almost a year, keeps being denied!!!

When I tried using my card at a restaurant one morning and it was denied that prompted me to check my transaction history, upon doing so I found there was a T mobile transaction for around $350. I am a Verizon customer and have never purchased anything from T-mobile. At the time, I also had my debit card in my wallet the entire time- Bank Of America told me that I was a victim of a credit/debit card skimmer when I called that day immediately to file the claim. They also informed me to spend 30 minutes at least writing down every single transaction that I did not recognize... Well, after doing so I accidentally added a few transactions that were mine, but the merchant name online differed from the store name. I have had this claim denied at least 30+ times, all for invalid reasons.
1) I did not have a sense of urgency because the transactions happened over a one month span. - This is inaccurate because I called in and removed all of the merchants that I was able to investigate and found to be my own after having the help of some BOA employees. The transactions that needed to be investigated happened over a 3 day span.. there was only 3 transactions that should have been investigated and I called in at least 15 different times to have them removed and they will not do so because of policy but they are also not relaying the information properly to the investigators. The transactions happened right before the weekend and posted three days later, I called in the day they posted to my account and I could no longer use my card because one of my accounts went negative. How is this not a sense of urgency? I called in immediately once I found out.
2) I used the online banking in between the time (apparently the entire month) Well I used the dashboard to transfer funds which does not require you to look through your transaction history, nor did I have a reason to because MY DEBIT CARD WAS IN MY WALLET THE ENTIRE TIME. Also, they are investigating the wrong time frame so this is also invalid.
3) My PIN number was used- I removed all of these pin number transactions. When I first filed the claim and was prompted to call back in with the additional fraud charges if found, the person I spoke with was VERY unhelpful and told me that he could not provide any of the addresses to the merchants and that if I accidentally added anything on there that ends up being mine they will deny the entire claim...So I was nervous about missing anything, and being that I did not recognize those merchant names, that made me keep all of them on there because I did not want to miss anything. When my claim was denied multiple times, I finally spoke with a woman who was helpful enough to google search the places and found the addresses which was when I took off all of the transactions that I know I had been to previously, plus they all had different names on the transaction history vs the restaurant or gas station.
I filed a police report, I did everything above and beyond that a customer should have to do, I physically went into the stores and looked for cameras, all of which had cameras and they were willing to cooperate but BOA did not investigate enough otherwise they would've refunded my money. The police have 4 years to investiagte it all thought they see it as a valid fraud case, others take priority due to the amount of money involved. I am almost at a year and that means I will not be able to get my money back unless the police re open the case.
4) they are still denying and have closed my case and said it is no longer open for re consideration.. I spoke with the police dept. who informed me that BOA did this to another person and the only way they got their money back was to proove they were somewhere at the time of the transactions.

After fighting for weeks trying to gather the original time stamps (which everyone I spoke to for the first 10 tries said there was no where to get it) Finally, someone told me they would send it to my email and I would click a link.. I never got the email. I then called BOA and they told me that they do not do that, and that they looked into it and BOA DENIED SENDING ME THE TIME STAMPS! How am I not allowed to have access to the original time stamps and dates of when the fraud charges took place? I was working full time at the time, Just recently sent in PROOF of my time stamps that I was in an entirely different city at the time and working while these transactions took place. I went into the financial center and they called and were able to speak with someone in the fraud dept. who gave me the time stamps immediately...

Guess what? THEY DENIED IT AGAIN FOR THE FINAL TIME... FOR THE ABOVE REASONS WHICH ARE SO INVALID. I am very upset about this, what do I have to do to get what is rightfully mine? This is insane to me. I have been a customer for over 15 years with them, why would I go these lengths and fight this long over $450? It is my money that I work hard for.

The fact that the customer protection dept. didn't notice and contact me stating that my card was being used in a city that I have never been to before, while I was using it around the same time in a different city? How is this not proof enough that it was actually physically impossible for me to make these purchases. I have tried everything. Spoke with a consumers relations dept and they told me that they are invalidly investigating this and denying it for reasons that are not right. I will sue if I have to even if I don't see a dollar because you CAN NOT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE THIS! PEOPLE WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY!

Bank of America check cashing

My son and I completed a job for one of you clients. She wrote my son the check, and when he took it to the local branch 2401 osprey way Frederick MD. He was told the signature s didn't match and because of your age we will not cash this check. He asked the teller to please call the client and she repeated your too young and the signatures don't match. He came out of the branch and asked me to help. I'm 54 and an adult. I was greeted by an unshaven rude individual named Ryan. He immediately became agitated and told me your son is too young, he's 24. Than he told me there was no one else to talk to.we left.this is age discrimination.

Bank of America busy not answering phones

I've tried to contact the Springdale. AR branch on W Sunset for almost 3 hours now and and recording says they are too busy to answer the phone. Really? My cousin was there about early this morning and there were 2 customers in there. Trying to get things they've messed up on her checking account and girl, Marcella, said I had to talk to main offices to make changes and she's transfer me to the 800 number and then disconnected me! Now they don't answer 3 hours later! Frustrated and they have account so messed up I'm not sure we can ever straighten it out. They had her very confused and told her she needed to hire an accountant for her checkbook. Really? Thank you Bank of America for your terrible treatment of a 21 year customer.

Nobody answers the phone at Bank of America credit department. Tried for two days waiting on hold for over an hour. Sent secure email twice and no one answered that either.

Bank of America not stopping unauthorized and fraudulent transaction - allowing it to complete first.

Hi Team,

I contacted Bank Of America Customer Service on July 20 around 11:09 AM, EST Hours. I was on call for about 26 minutes.

I requested many times to to stop a transaction as I did not authorize it. The transaction made by T-Mobile customer service. They used my card details on call with them to make payment for another mobile- number, instead of making payment for my mobile number. I called Bank of America to stop this payment. The Bank Of America associate told me he cannot stop this payment as it is in processing. I told him I did not authorize this transaction. It is illegal transaction. Please stop this transaction. He said I have to wait until the transaction is completely processed and charged for me, and then I have to call Bank Of America again to stop this transaction. He also said this is the policy and process in Bank Of America to allow false transaction to proceed and complete first. Please stop $47 transaction at 9:30 am 07/20. Please stop immediately.

Bank of America service in my area/ not providing me what I want that they can provide.

Hello,
I have opened a Bank of America personal checking account almost 7 - 8 months ago in the state of Minnesota. The first I requested online payment to my credit card account from checking acc. at the bank while opening my account. but, my request is not completed untill now. I have made phone calls to customer service and at the beginning they told me to wait for few months cycles. I visited Edina, Minnesota branch and one another branch to set up the auto pay to credit card, but they didn't.
Beside other small requests, this auto pay request have not been served for me and I feel not as comfortable as I do with my other bank. that bank don't leave any problem pending or to wait for as the Bank of America. therefore, I couldn't recommend BoA to other people when they ask.
I may get set up everything, but I just wanted to let you know if it may help expedite the service for customers.
Thank you,
Mohammad Noor

Bank of America fraud protection

I reported my claim of fraudulent charges to EDD Debit Card and recieved a report with evidence that I was indeed a victim but BoA interpreted it as evidence to support the contrary. I escalated as much as I could and was flabbergasted that they would 'see where I'm coming from' but would not 'investigate' further or re-open my case. As a combat veteran fighting PTSD, this is nearly the straw breaking the camel's back. They went so far to say they have no reason to believe me that I was a victim of fraud. I'm so upset and they have left me feeling helpless in getting justice on the matter. The manager spoker angrily towards me with rude disdain and I don't know what more I can do. It's $424 which is nothing to them but life sustaining to me. They would treat their customers as liars and keep them wronged rather than put a little more effort on the customers behalf. I've sent my story to NBC and reported to ftc.gov. Mwanwhile, I'm out a critical $424 and anxiety, stress and depression eating me alive.

Bank of America the bank closed my account for no reason and retained my money!!!

Very humiliating for anyone who deposits their money to gardar in this bank and after a while he closes his account without reasons, and he keeps his money. That's right with your money and save your sweaty savings !
I opened my account in November of 2017 when I was in florida and I decided to leave my savings in dollar since I am Brazilian and when I returned to vacations I did not have to take in kind I would already be in a safe bank ! unfortunately no, my account made little use of it until on June 6 I made two sales to different people and I received in my account in the bank of america, to spend a few days my account was blocked leaving me without access to the account, I called and I They said it was about fraud investigation ! as fraud ! I received the money from the people I sold and where there is fraud in it, they did not explain anything to me ! they only coil you and it's no use doing anything that counts is their only option, I sent the salesmen with the names of the buyers even so, they closed my account and they withheld my money I have 4, 032.51 dollars in account and he assures me that they do not I have nothing simply closed and they kept my money, I will search all possible channels and authorities will not leave and not be harmed ! I want my money and I'm going to fight for it.

Bank of America payment not received and negative charges applied

I deposited a check from DCU (for $30000) to my bank of america checking account on the 7th of July in the Paoli branch. I was distraught to see that my account showed a negative balance of $28766.01.

I took half leave from work and rushed to the branch and the clerk did some trouble shooting and stated that the teller had made a mistake while depositing the check. They in turn spoke to the back office and asked to check with the issuer of the check if the money has been debited from their account and to get the check number from the issuer.

I have issued my own checks based on these funds hitting my account on the 11th and 13th of July. Now this has put me at great risk, as if the parties who I issued the checks deposit on the 14th of July my checks could get bounced and cause a great loss to me both financially as well as my reputation.

Bank of America customer service dept

On 6/4/2018, I was scammed based on wrong information given to me by a Bank of America customer service rep. I took a mystery shopping job from what appeared to be a legit mystery shopping company. They found me on Linked In and I did google reviews on them. Anyway, they sent me a check I deposited on 5/30/2018 to purchase a couple of gift cards with from my local Apple store. The next day I bought the gift cards and on my way back I started to wonder if the check was valid due to so many scams out there. So out of concern, I called the fraud dept at BOA and asked them how would I know if this is a legit/valid check. They told me they would not know until the check cleared, but in the meantime, I should, at the very least, withhold any info related to the gift cards as security, until their check completely cleared. They said generally 3-5 days. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. So I did what they said and waited a couple more days and on 6/2/2018 (in all, a total of 4 days from time of deposit) and I called BOA customer service dept and asked the rep if that particular check had completely cleared. The BOA looked it up and the rep told me that it had, in fact, completely cleared and that I had no worries. So, with that info, I completed the job and provided the "mystery shopping company", with info on the gift cards. I would not have given them any of the information otherwise. Then on 6/4/18, BOA took the funds back out of my account. Had the BOA rep not told me false information, I would not have given the company the info they wanted from the cards! Plain and simple! I was told to hold on to the gift card info until the checks cleared and I did just that and would have continued to withhold info from them for as long as it took the check to clear. My feeling is, up until speaking with the BOA customer service rep, whatever happened was on me, if I was scammed. But after speaking with this BOA customer service rep who falsely confirmed the check had cleared, when it obviously hadn't, then, at that point, me being a victim of fraud and being scammed, was on BOA. I put in a complaint to the fraud dept, which after their investigation, took no responsibility. They did tell me if I was told false info leading to this scam, to put in a customer complaint. I submitted a customer complaint ID#180618CP003265, weeks ago and have received any kind of acknowledgment/info, one way or the other, as to what they are going to do. If you can't trust your bank to give you the correct information on a check, who can you trust? I mean really... who else could I have gone through to inquire? This is nuts! Seems to me, they need to invest in mystery shopping of their customer service reps to make sure they are trained properly and do not lack important knowledge and understanding of their product or services which can directly affect a monetary loss to their customers!

Bank of America customer service

I called boa cust serv [protected]) to dispute a $25, "advantage monthly maintenance fee" that suddenly popped up in my checking account which has over $4k balance (greater then min required). I had to wait for 15 minutes to get to an agent. "she" was as dumb as a board, after putting me on hold 3 times and can't explain why I was being charged the fee. She did agree to remove it however. I said these fees will be automatically charged again next month by your computer if you don't fix whatever the issues are. She went quiet on that one. So I said would you kindly find out why it was there to begin with. She grew agitated and said "please hold", then just hung up on me.

I thought that was ridiculous and called back. Now the wait is 30+ minutes.

What kind of customer service is that?!
They have been so bad for years, I can't take it anymore!

I will move my personal, as well as 3 business accounts to banks that will happily service me thank you!

Bank of America closing accounts without reasons or proper notification

I am the trustee for my mother's accounts of which she has two accounts. My parents have been banking with Bank of America since the 1950's. I was not notified of the accounts been frozen or that they were in a process for closing (only after several calls did I find this out), this all came to my attention from a mailer I received that notified me that an online payment was not paid because of lack of funds. The notice showed that the account had more then 15times the amount of the cancelled transfer in the account, at that time. So why was it declined? I spoke with an agent who said I was to call another number and that the accounts were frozen and being closed. The next agent stated I was notified of the closings by a hand delivery of mail to my home. Well I moved more then two years from the address they delivered it to and I receive all my regular BofA mail at my current address just fine and regularly. So now they are holding the account as open again and are paying for the banking charges incurred. They are planning on still mailing me a closure notice very soon and can provide me with no reason why they are closing the accounts. My mother and father have had all banking with B of A for over 65years and that would include loans for several properties and they were excellent savers. So why close for no reason? I see this an a very UnAmerican Bank and one that sure does not care for its life long clients. This big corporate choice to clip the elderly and even rich elderly at that is elder abuse in its simplest form. Now I am left to rebuild all the accounts and auto deposits and payments with another bank. B of A should provide true reasons and hey a call to me would have been bit better. Bank of America is Not a respectable American Bank!

Bank of America not helpful customer service

On 06/18 my 3-year-old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia and it was the worst day of our lives, the emotional and financial toll it took on us is unexplainable. I didn't keep up with my obligations that week because I was overwhelmed with everything that was going on and incurred 23 overdraft fees on my business account. I contacted the customer service on 06/25 to see if they could help me and explained my situation, the customer rep was kind but told me he couldn't help me and transferred me over to his chief and she also said that they could not waive any of the fees and I explained to them that if I pay these fees today I won't be able to keep up with this week's obligations and will incur more fees which I won't be able to pay. The woman told me she was going to transfer me to a line of credit specialist to see if they could help me and I spoke to someone that couldn't help me and transferred me over to customer service. After 90 minutes I got disconected and nobody helped me!
