We canceled our service last month after being with them for approximately 9 months. Before we switched providers we called customer service to see if there would be any cancellation charges and how to get a release pin for the new provider. The agent said only thing we needed to do is pay off what we owed on the phones we purchased. We did that and switched providers. The final bill came and they added a cancellation charge of $724. We called customer service twice and both times we were blind transferred to another number which disconnected our call. We emailed and sent a formal letter to the president of AT&T and did not get a response. Since they threatened to take us to collections do we had to pay the bill.
Claimed loss: $724
Desired outcome: Refund the cancellation charged
