Our neighbors were getting AT&T fiber buried and we already had the same service. While burying our neighbors fiber, the technician cut our fiber line. AT&T sent a technician out to run a new line and then a second 'burial' technician would come out to bury our replacement line a couple weeks later
The burial technician came out on Aug 6th 2026, before the original scheduled date. Unfortunately, he didn't have the proper equipment to bury the line. He said he would schedule a person able to bury the line, but instead cancelled our ticket. After a couple weeks with no response, I called AT&T to see what happened to getting our line buried. Instead of reopening the incorrectly cancelled ticket, they claimed to only be capable of restarting the burial process from scratch. Now we're going to have a first level tech come out to do nothing and submit a ticket for the burial technician who likely won't have the proper equipment to bury the line and cancel the ticket so I get it start the process over again.
The customer service is useless and only repeated the same couple of lines over and over again. They refused to escalate the issue or reopen the ticket that was incorrectly cancelled.
Desired outcome: Burying the line so our fiber doesn't get cut again is the biggest fix. Also, fix their customer service to be able to actually resolve issues instead of being useless and repeatedly reading the same script.
