I am 45 years old. I have rheumatoid arthritis and Lupus. Due to the years of medication that I have had to take my teeth have weakened and starting to break. I had several of my back teeth pulled throughout the last few years but my front teeth were still okay and looked good until last month. I slipped and fell getting out of swimming pool and broke one...

Less than a year ago I went to Aspen Dental in Little Rock Arkansas. After waiting for over an hour I was told I would need 2 crowns. I paid $1200 on top of my insurance paying another $600. On my next visit I sat in the chair for 3 hrs while 2 crown preps were done. During this procedure the dentist hit my tongue with the drill & I had a blood pocket that...

Aspen Dental Dentures livonia michigan location

I will give you an opportunity to make this right before I send this to the class action lawsuit page: Please add my Mother's complaint to the lawsuit. They took advantage of my Mother's elderly condition. She paid up front for her dentures in approx Feb 2017. Went back numerous times for the ill-fitting dentures and problem was never fixed. After the last appointment she was told it would be $200 everytime she returned for an adjustment even though they were never right to begin with. They also told her too much time had passed to be covered under the warrantee. This was too overwhelming for her and she stopped wearing her dentures. I became aware of the problem when visiting. Please send all info to me. Felicia Montoya 7113 W Utopia Rd. Glendale AZ. [protected]

Paid thousands of dollars. First temporary denture was to big for my mouth and they had to make a new one. Then my first permanent denture was beautiful and completely straight but the right side was to far out. They ordered a redue and now the denture is fine on the right side but instead of the teeth being even the right side are long and the left side...

Aspen Dental I went in for a root canal and got the whole treatment. Examination, xray, cleaning

After days I was send to the hygienist where she cleaned, sprayed. Count teeth
Then I seen the dentist and was told that I had several cavities . I said I only need a root canal today. This is work that need done. We can get it finance for you. You can get dentures to replace your already missing teeth. It like all that spraying and things the hygienist was doing was unnecessary
Next I saw the finance manager and she started pu out papers. The total work was to cost 5000.00. My insurance would pay 2000.00 and was responsible for the 3000.00. When I said I couldn't afford it
She assured me they would help get fiance. As I signed those papers I was thinking I can't afford this but it was as if a spell or something had been put on me. The temporary dentures hurt and didn't fit. I never got the permanent dentures. I had one tooth pulled, a root canal that lasted 2years then broke. (I have another one done twenty years ago at another dentist and it's still strongly in tact.) They did not finish the procedure that I was charged 5000.00 dollar which I still owe. A Great Big RIP Off! ASPEN DENTAL!

There were several charges for excessive treatment that was un-necessary for the same teeth on the same day. Charged for an exam and xrays when they advertise for free exam and xrays. They removed supposedly infected bone that was perhaps not infected at all. When asked for copy of xrays was give a very poor photo copy that didn't indicate anything at all.

Aspen Dental Billing for services not received

Early summer 2017, I went to Aspen Dental here in Peoria, IL, regarding teeth hurting. Exam and xrays were done and paid for as per the new patient adverts. It was determined (per dental staff) that I needed multiple teeth extracted, which would then require partial dentures on top and bottom, along with a cleaning. Follow up appointments were scheduled. I explained to the office manager that I was a Veteran and on a disability income so I was needing a payment plan or pay as I go doing a little at a time. They don't do plans but could set me up a plan through CareCredit, (CC) at small monthly payments. He called and got me approved for $3, 200 (?). Treatment plan revised per approved amount. My payment bill would come from them.

Worst problem tooth was extracted and a cleaning done. Then a mold of my teeth was made (twice) with only one tooth pulled, and a temporary partial was provided, with permanent one in 2 to 3 months. The temp never fit right even with adjustments and caused pain. (What about the other teeth?)

The office manager told me I could have other extractions done on a special Saturday that provided services to Military/Veterans free of charge. It was scheduled.
Great save some money. At this appointment I have a quick exam then sit in chair for an hour. I am then told that the dentist there that day didn't want to extract my teeth because I was a patient receiving care from the regular dentist and she did not want to interfere with his plan.
(Well, fancy that!)

About this same time I get my approval for Medicare/Medicaid plan and decide I would rather go this route for dental care.
I let the Aspen Dental office know this and request xray films. I pick them up and later find it's only 1 cloudy full set view. Even though they took quite a few.

A month later I receive a statement from CC, for the full amount of the loan plan which included all the future work and permanent partial, that was never completed. I called CC and was told Aspen Dental had to provide the change in costs. I call Aspen, they stated they would look at the issue and credit accordingly. About 2 months go by still same amount on billing statement. I call Aspen Corporate office and explain all this to a rep who states someone would get back to me. We then play phone tag for a few weeks and never do connect. I tell CC that I'd be happy to make payments but only for actual service received not the ones I never got. Please send me a statement reflecting these.
Got nothing, however Aspen finally adjusted the bill by deducting $1, 400 (?). Showing now about $2, 000. Still not accurate.

CC ends up sending this to a collection company who is now filed a lawsuit against me. Court is tomorrow and they will judge against me and probably put a lean on my house since I dont have extra money to pay and they cannot withhold from SSDI income.

So, please help if possible in this class action against Aspen Dental.

February 20, 2019, I was a patient of the Aspen Dental office at 9850 Colerain Ave., Unit A Cincinnati, OH 45251 (patient account number [protected]). I came to Aspen because I had saw those sappy comercials about how helpful and wonderful they are and the fact of the matter is I was lied to and completely misled. Aspen Dental High pressure sales sold me a 1200 pair of dentures and got the 300 ones and they were wrong.

They totally scammed me. Pressured me into the most expensive pair of dentures and gave me the cheapest. They were wrong from start and still havent got a decent pair. Had a money back guarantee so within time of saying wanted my money back I did and was told time after time they would call me back and never did. Called headquarters and they give me to my district manager she called once left a voice mail and have never got her back on phone. The office in norfolk nebraska where i went called and said i was out of time limit to get money back. Told them to give me the difference from the 1200 to the 399 ones i got wouldnt do that. Said they would make me a 1200 pair ..i go to do that and they want to make mold out of one that wrong.

Aspen Dental Explanation of services

I came in for an emergency service, because I had an abscess. I specifically drove 45 mins away because they were the only emergency appt i could get. I ended up being talked into paying $400 for services I'm going to be getting at my regular dentist that's not 45 mins away from where I live. I explained all of this several times. By the end I was there for TWO HOURS. Finally I got a prescription for penicillin. They took xrays even though i said i'd already had them done somewhere else and insurance wouldn't reimburse...I mean, I didn't fully understand it while i was there but i was so anxious to leave by the end of it because the appt made me late for other stuff, so i just wanted to get out. But clearly they took advantage of me and didn't do what i needed and now i understand that probably because it's a chain of some kind they're in the business to make as much money as possible, instead of just helping people.
