Called and made an appointment for a tooth ache and extraction in a lot of pain. Was told I needed to have a membership or pay a membership fee to be seen. Was railroaded into a service that was a lot more than a simple extraction and believed that the very friendly staff knew what they were talking about. Was told at the end of the initial exam that I needed to have a lot more work done than I came in for. Was bill over $13,000.00 that given a bogus discount (sales tactic) and was told by the dentist and the dental assistant that they could not perform the service because of my medical issues. Went to the emergency room the next day and was advised against the procedure. Attempted to inform Aspen Dental by e-mail and several phone calls. Attempted to cancel the service that was not done and cancel my membership. Called several times and was disconnected or sent to a recording. The people were all incredibly nice before the got me to sign off on services that they could not perform. They even suggested that I drive to Oswego, Illinois were a female dentist was willing to do the extractions even though my B.P. was dangerously high. Followed up with my doctor who also suggested that I not proceed with the surgery at this time. Have made numerous attempts to cancel, reverse and notify Aspen that they will not be doing any extractions and furthermore I would not accept any kind of service. This is a major trust issue when someone tries to scam you out of close to ten thousand dollars before they do work that they ultimately were unable to do. Not just less than professional these are armatures I am document this to every area of practice that can stop these people from scamming seniors, people in pain or people who believed they were a legitimate service. This is a nightmare. I was schedule to have the procedure on April 30th. I was billed in advance for services they have not performed. Unfortunately and well documented I was in the Emergency Room at Urgent care not at Aspen Dental.
