Aspen Dental review: Cleaning service not performed. Deposit paid. ( 2 comments)

After having a series of x-rays taken on April 21, an appointment for a cleaning and 2 surface fillings was made to be completed the following week on April 25th. Partial payment was made, and my insurance company has already followed through with the claim. I had tried to confirm my appointment on the morning of the appointment, but the line was completely dead. Upon arrival on for the appointment on the 25th, we were informed that the phone lines were out, along with the entire system, and that they would not be able to give me a cleaning because they did not have access to my records to determine what type of a cleaning to give me. I tried to call again today, May 10, and a recording said the system is down. This is completely unacceptable. I am beginning to feel like I was ripped off.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the services I did not receive, so that I may have my teeth cleaned by a dentist that doesn't rely on records being based somewhere other than the location of servies.

I filed a complaint May 10, and have not received a response. Please resolve this case by refunding the amount of $238.

It is true that franchises nationwide belonging to the Aspen Dental Corporation are suffering from a massive cyber attack since either late March or April 2023. Once the hacker was able to enter one area of data (i.e., payroll or client's x-Rays, etc.), it was easy to gain entry into other storage of data because they were all interconnected. Now, they have very little access to records where most appear wiped out. Is ADC another casualty in pushing the Reset button to continue take out more major companies or nah in this economy?

How about file a complaint with your State's Attorney General plus sue in Small Claims court asap. With the economy steadily tanking, it might be wise to file for refunds while there is money (fiat $$) is still in circulation vs. them possibly filing for bankruptcy?
