On the 1st month of "specialty" med delivery for cancer treatment. I was called for my survey-interview and set delivery date, meds showed up on time, things went seamlessly.
Month 2, Big Pharma Benefits Provider switched to Accredo and I HAD TO CALL them to remind them of med interview, survey-and arrange a delivery date. Accredo, Big Pharma BOTH caught flat footed and several hours on the phone of myself supervising people to arrange my own med delivery. Month 3, MOAR(!) of the same, a few hours to make sure everyone these knew their job.
Month 4's delivery was simply cancelled because Accredo did not get an "override" authorization from BIG Pharma to ship. After MOAR(!) hours one the phone with both parties, a week later I finally(!) receive my cancer meds. Both the Accredo people and those who hired Accredo are looking negligent. Brick walls and gatekeepers prevented me from talking to anyone in either organization who might handle the problem(s) of this entire fiasco.
I KNOW I'm not the only one who's facing this problem.
*2 stars only for call screeners who were mostly polite.
Recommendation: Ask your Pharmacy Benefits Manager to READ the online reviews.
