I accept that from now on I should read the “terms & conditions” a lot more closely, but I just couldn’t conceive of a company offering a trial that starts the day you place the order. Well that’s exactly what this fraudulent crook of a company decided to do and I get some third world inept operator taking my call that tried her hardest to up-sell me on another month of a product I didn’t even want one month of.

So I tell her that I received the acai product on Monday it was now Wednesday and I’m wondering why they charged me $89 after 3 days, she replies no it is charged 10 days from the time you place the order, you failed to call us back in time. I exploded! What sense does that make to start my trial of something before I receive it? I didn’t get to TRY it! She say’s oh well since you’ve already paid for it now why don’t you try it for the rest of the month. This crap went on for way too long and finally when I was frustrated to the verge of tears did she give me the cancellation instructions.

Can you believe after the 10 times I said I didn’t want it had I hung up too soon I would have still been in the system to get hit again next month! Scam artists! I am pissed and still out of money. And the cancellation process is so detailed and ridiculous, and they cover their criminal butts by putting this stupid info in the terms they know people rarely read through completely. Uuuggghh!

Acai Berry has place an unauthorized charge on my card. I will try to get it off in several ways. First, I will cancel the card, and second I will post with the US Depeartment of Commerce. and the Better Business Bereau, Third I will notify the Federal Trade Commission. Asking for assistance from Tenessee Governments is a waste of time and effort.

This is bad business.

I WAS SCAMMED!
On 1/4/09, while surfing the intranet, I saw an article with a headline that said “Endorsed by Oprah and Dr. Oz – miracle weight loss drug…” the article offered a “free trial” of the Acai product and a free trial of a “digestive cleanse”. I am unable to find the exact article that I read as of today (2/17/09) so don’t know the exact wording. It looked legitimate and I’ve been hearing a lot about the benefits of the Acai berry so I ordered the free trials of both the products. I gave my credit card # to pay for the shipping and handling ($5.95 and $4.95 respectively). Even before I received any of the products, I was charged more than $130 (see table below for details). When I received and reviewed my January credit card statement on 2/17/09, I then looked at my “recent” charges that hit my VISA (have not yet received a statement) online and found $250 more in charges to multiple merchants that all related to the 2 free samples that I ordered (I was charged a total of $400 for two free samples). I called the merchants listed on my statement and listed below is what I was told:
1. When I called the Dri*Wuyi Pixie Tea and Dri*Bromalite merchant (they are the same merchant) they told me that because I didn’t cancel my “membership” after 15 days of receiving the free trial, I was charged for these two products. I explained that I did not receive the free sample until yesterday (2/16/09) and that I have not received these two products. In addition, I explained that I was not aware that I need to cancel anything when I purchased the free sample or I would be charged. This merchant agreed to refund the cost of the product that I did not receive. I received no cancellation # or anything to suggest that they will or will (or will not) live up to their promise. I will have to wait to see if they honor their word. This merchant didn’t argue with me too much but I did have to ask to speak with a supervisor to get them to agree to refund the full amount. Total charges that they agreed to refund is $34.95; $69.95 and $69.95.
2. When I called www.fit-fac.com, I got a ton of lip… The agent kept trying to tell me that it was “a bundled purchase when I order the Acai Berry…” After much arguing, I finally got her to agree to refund the $29.95. This was apparently a monthly fee for some service that I wasn’t aware of and subsequently received NO information on. I was given a cancellation # for the service, nothing to suggest that they will live up to their promise to credit my credit card for the $29.95. Again, I will have to wait and see if they honor their commitment.
3. Charges related to the Acai product (all are the same merchant) in the amounts of $94.57; $88.62 and $5.95 (for the tea product) – see below. This merchant is obviously the biggest fraudster and the Agent was well trained in techniques to “wear down” the caller. I really couldn’t get anywhere with this merchant. I spoke with Courtney for nearly 40 minutes. She kept telling me that I was charged the amount above because “I neglected to cancel my membership within 15 days of receiving my trial product…” I explained that I wasn’t aware of my responsibility to cancel the “membership” and furthermore, that really didn’t even matter since I haven’t even received the products I was asking a refund for. She gave me an RMA (return materials authorization #) that I was to write on the outside of the package when I return the product. I pointed out to her how asinine that was given that I haven’t received the product (I have nothing to return). We argued back and forth for 20 minutes and I finally insisted that I speak with her supervisor. She was trained well – kept asking me what she hadn’t fully explained to me, blah, blah, blah. I finally told her I was done talking to her and she said her supervisor was busy with another customer, I told her that I would hold. She came on the line three more times trying to “talk me out of speaking with her supervisor” but I wouldn’t budge. Finally she came back on the line a fourth time and told me her supervisor asked that I fax my billing statements to them with an explanation of why I was requesting a refund. I had to get back to work so I took the number and hung up.
I immediately called my credit card company, disputed all of the charges listed (except for the two “free” samples that I did receive) and canceled my card. I then did a little research online. There are multiple sites where consumers have logged complaints against SFL Nutrition (e.g., [redacted]; complaintsboard.com, better business bureau, etc.). I have attached the BBB report for SFL Nutrition – they rated this company F – the worst rating they give. I also plan to call the Boca Raton Police Department Internet Crimes Division at [protected] and log complaints with the BBB and Federal Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov.

I got an email about Acai Berry. This product is suppose to be for detoxing and weight loss. I subscribed to a free trial for 3.97. My account was automatically charged and I received the product two weeks later. Once I received it in the mail, I opened it and realized I had two bottles. I should have only had one. I also saw on the bottom of the receipt that on Feb 21, 2009 they are gonna charge my account 79.90. I tried calling the company from various numbers that I found on the internet and on the receipt but I keep getting repeated voice messages and busy signals. A couple ours later coincidently someone from the company called me to see if I received my order. Once I told him my problem that I had with the order, he could not really say anything to me except to give me customer service phone number which happened to be one number that I already tried to call. I also noticed them being reported on the BBB. I told him that and he had nothing to say. I hung up on him.

So far I have been billed over $800 for a $3.95 shipping charge for Acai Berries. I have been lied to, hung up on, put on hold 45 minutes and told "information is private and cannot be disclosed", "you cannot speak to the credit department, it's an internal department", "you cannot speak to a supervisor, they are busy", "that company name is not related to us" "we did not give your information to any other company" "when you order the sample you have
already accepted the terms" which include further shipments, magazine subscriptions, membership in various
companies none of which was told to me.

I was charged $5.95 for Acai Berry product that I did not receive.

On 2/4/09 I was charged $88.52 for Acai Berry Tea that I did not receive or authorize charge.

On 2/16/09 I was charged $94.57 for Acai Berry that I have not received or authorized charge.

I called the 866 number and was informed that I did not cancel my trial membership within 14 days. I never received any product to cancel. I was told by the rep that the $88.52 would be refunded to my credit card, but the $94.57 product has already been shipped and I must return it before I can be refunded the $94.57. I was informed by the rep that my membership was canceled.

This company is a rip-off. I'm glad I keep check on recent transactions to my credit cards.

I, like many others, purchased the "Free" Sample of Acai Berry Detox
online, believing that my only cost was the $3.95 shipping and handling
charge. I will admit that I didn't pay attention to the fine print listed under the Money Back Offer. Wasn't I surprised to see TWO separate charges of $87.13 on my next credit card statement. I immediately called
FWM Laboratories and was told they would cancel the prescription, however, I would be responsible for the two charges of $87.13. When I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges, I advised them
I had cancelled through FWM. She said because I cancelled already, it could no longer be disputed. As I haven't even opened the original bottle,
she advised to return both to FWM in a trackable envelope. I must allow
them 30 days to process a refund. If a refund is not processed, I can then
dispute the charges. What a scam! She was VERY familiar with the company when I called which tells me that everybody is having the same issues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS "FREE OFFER"! MSN should be ashamed for allowing this company to advertise on it's homepage!

My story is almost identical to another person's I saw today.

On 2/10/2009 I saw an advertisement online for two separate products, ACAI BERRY and LIFE CLEANSE. The total cost was suppose to be only the shipping fees of $3.95 each. I ordered both products and was charged shipping on 2/13 and received them separately on 2/17/09 & on 2/19/09. On 2/25/09 (Today), I noticed my debit account had a pending payment of an additional $87.13 for one of the products.

I called the company today to dispute the charges and was told that the I had agreed to a 15 day trial period and that because I failed to cancel within those 15 days, I was being charged the additional amount. They have since canceled my account but they refuse refund the money they have charged.

I told the rep that I did not see anything on the website indicating it was only a 15 day trial period, in fact it advertised a '30 day free trial' and even if it was I was still within the 15 days from the date I received the product. She said it didn't matter because the 15 days started from the date I ordered the product and not from the date I received it. I am disputing this with my bank and chose not to get irritated with the representative who was obviously just following a script.

They did give me confirmation #'s of the cancellation of both products, but I'll believe it when I see it.

They are engaged in false / misleading advertising and it's a blatant ripoff.

The company that may show up as charging the card is FWM Laboratories.

Like any fool who was stupid enough to watch an 'Infomercial', I was taken in by Acai 'Detox' & their sister product 'Bromalite'. Both products while not effective in my case arrived as agreed. I ordered a 'sample' order for $3.95 and $4.95 respectively. I owe these grifters that money and paid them.

Much to my later surprise I received a credit card statement where they have billed me $87.13 for Acai Berry and $69.95 for 'Bromalite', I made no commitment to buy any of their stuff! I have tried repeatedly to call them and they simply put you on hold until you just give up!

I protested this amount to my credit card provider and learned that on my March statement I have been billed again! These people IMHO are simply running a cheap scam. I have NEVER failed to make a payment to any creditor. These people play on the desire of over weight people to improve themselves with no effort.

Don't be fooled by these clowns. Avoid these people. Also, the infomercial creates the impression that these two companies are the same; this may be true but they bill it under different names.

If you order a sample you are sure to be buried in paper work trying to get these false charges eliminated from your credit card. If you get subsequent orders of this garbage my advice REFUSE IT!...

I am really hot and bothered over these folks and am also reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and the Florida Department of Agriculture that deals in scams and consumer fraud.

I took the trial product that says I only had to pay for the s/h, I received the product and it did absolutely nothing but make me constipated, the opposite of what it was suppose to do. I looked on my bank account today and saw that they had charged me full price of $87.13. I called my bank immediately.

I called the company and spoke to Brian who explained to me that if I didn't call and cancel in 14 days I would be charged full price. I asked him where was that stated and he said in the "Terms and Conditions". Well who reads those things. He cancelled my account. I guess I better pay more attention to things I order off the internet.

My bank is helping me dispute the charge. This is truly a scam.

At least I don't feel so stupid anymore now that I know I am not the only one ! I cancled almost immediately, the same day i ordered the acaiberry, the more i read the more I felt I DID NOT want this product, ( only 20 pounds to loose )when the 1st package came I sent it right back unopened, e-mailed them again and cancelled for the 2nd time, I didn't know I had already been charged before i sent it back, then the 2nd package arrived I called them and was given a ## to put on the package, I did this and returned that one also, UNOPENED then ALL the charges started appearing !$$3.95 on 2/5, $ 2.00 on 2/5, then another$, 87.13 on2/8 and$ 2.61, also on 2/8 then all of these on the same day !.6 cents on3/5, $2.00 on3/5, $2.50 on 3/5, $83.18 on3/5 and .6 cents, and one more for$1.95 ! they keep insisting they are out of florida but they ARE NOT, or there would NOT be international fees.. I have now gotten an e-mail confirming my cancellation but that has a date of 3/4 on it as my cancellation date, but I CANCELLED way before then, now they say I will NOT gat a refund for the 1st FREE BOTTLE, I'm hoping they will do what they say and refund the $83.18 for the 2nd bottle, this company is a total RIP OFF I have O of there product, I followed there rules and they have my $$$, I look at all these complaints and it makes me sad that as women WE are so unhappy with our size that we think this SNAKE oil is the answer, I think I will keep my 20 extra pounds and start taking some long walks ! good luck to all of you and GOD bless

I signed up for a Free sample only for $4.99 shipping. Did receive the product, but was also charged $79.96 for a monthly membership which I did not join or know anything about! When calling the phone # there was a message saying to leave name, address, phone # and they would call me back. Never heard from them and cannot find them thru the address above which was on my credit card bill. With money as tight as it is, this is just a sign of what our country is becoming...rip off anyone you can ! Thank-you for letting me vent.

This company advertised, ACAI Berry weight loss pills, endorsed by Oprah Winfrey. $ 5.95 for first month, fee charged to my check card. At this time, I discovered I had a medical problem and tried contacting Super Life Products by phone and e-mail to cancel this order. No response, I tried numerous times, cell phone mail box was full, accepting no more messages, internet address was not valid. This company charged an additional $ 79.95 to my check card within 14 days.

I canceled my check card so they could not keep charging the $ 79.95. I have received no further product, beyond the original first 30 pills, which I disposed of, not taking any. Package came through China, thus held at my local post office until I could sign for. Why can't someone stop these scams? Yes, I would like my $ 79.95 back. I earn $ 17, 000.00 a year as a school aide. Since I was stupid enough to order this item on the internet, I would at the very least like to see these scams stopped.

I will not order on-line any more. I prefer to go to my local stores and make my purchases.

I ordered acai berry for the free 30 day trial and paid shipping and handling of $3.95. Fourteen days later my bank account was debited for $87.13...I called the company and spoke with 4 different people before I got through to a supervisor...None of these people spoke English that was understandable and recited the same script...I couldn't get a word in as they kept repeating themselves...I called my bank and will have to cancel my account and file a complaint to dispute the charges..That is what I will do..
The 30 day free trial is a scam...I wouldn't advise anyone to deal with this company or buy their product.

I sent off for a sample of the Acai Berry Diet Pills, was charged 4.95, then 80.00 for a monthly supply I did not order. I supposedly cancelled this "order" but several weeks later was charged 29.95 for a new product. Called and cancelled that as well and even asked for a confirmation letter. In the end, I contacted my credit card company and they suggested that I report the card as stolen, therefore getting a new card with a new number. This will stop any new charges.

Both of these companies got my data when i only completed the Trial offer on Acai Berry Maxx website, no receipts came with any package and the return address is both the Florida address and the Texas address, they also charged me for a product they sent called COLOTOX, and another charge they placed for FIT-FAC once they get your card they charge without your approval there privacy statement says they do not retain your charge card information it is inserted below. But they in fact due. Someone needs to shut them down. Thank God my bank found all charges and I filed a claim for unauthorized charges for products I did not request or approve. File a complaint in there local police department, they need to know what kind of criminals are in there town.

I received the free trial and immediately called the 800 number and emailed to say please stop all billing, shipments, etc... I have not received anything further except a bill of 3 different payments taken off of my credit card. Twice of $39.95 and one pending as of now of $59.95. And I can not get them to stop. I now have $80.00 in service charges because I was negative on my card.

OK I ORDERED ACAI BERRY ON JULY 15 on a link on a website for rachel ray it was available for $99 cents i came across a bunch of reviews talking about this product so i got alarmed and i tried to cancel that same day they told me i needed to wait 24 hours for it to show up on their system then i called back 24 hours later and i could not get ahold of anybody on the # that was on the order form thing then i called like 4 other times and no luck so i called the automated system for their company and then its asked for the credit card number for the order and then i canceled i called back 2 make sure and shure enough it told me no future shipment of the product would arrive and no charges on my visa would happen anymore just the 99 cents right so then i was redirected to myordersupport.com so i entered my info like my email address and zip code and it said an option to cancel account so i canceled the i did the process again to make sure and it said my info was not found wich i tought maybe meant it was taken care of it was ultimately cancelled... but now i saw a transaction on my credit card for $86.41 which i didnt authorize so i called the customer service wich took about 30 minutes to answer then i finally got through and spoke to someone foreign sounding maybe oriental, and tried to explain what happened this person became saucy with me and i began to yell at her because she wanted to get her point across that it was a 15 day trial and i did not cancel within that trial period so i told her i did cancel several times and she basically called me a liar! so i asked to talk to her manager or supervisor and she said he was busy with another customer but i could be put on hold in line for him and the she hung up on me so i called back and talked to someone else and it was the same b.s with another foreign girl and she basically again also became saucy with me so she basically said to bad NO REFUNDS thanks for the FREE MONEY! I THOUGHT TO MYSELF this is SO EFEN MESSED UP so i told her off .. and was really upset so i called my bank and they very helpfully redirected ME TO THE FRAUD & CLAIMS DEPARTMENT. and i told her the whole story and that i NEVER gave the my authorization to make any further transactions that went beyond those 99 cents and that they basically made a fraudulent process with me so they VERY HAPPILY CREDITED MY MONEYS. BACK INTO MY ACCOUNT AND BLOCKED MY CARD AND WILL BE ISSUING ME A NEW CARD SO THEY WONT BE ABLE TO MAKE ANY MORE CHARGES wich they would have. anyways but they will get stiffed and MY BANK WILL BE MAKING A FULL INVESTIGATION ON THESE CHARGES. AND THIS COMPANY SO THATS MY STORY AND ADVISE 2 YOU I HOPE THIS IS HELPFULL. I LEARNED MY LESSON WELL BUYERS BEWARE!

I can see from all the entries to this site that I am not alone. Question #1 - Why is the Federal Trades Commission not doing anything about this? Question#2 - Why when these web sites are obviously scams - are they not immediately shut down or at least "tagged" as possible frauds.? It seems by now there must be technology to support an alarm system to its citizens! I suggest that all of us contact our lawmakers and get these laws set in place - I'm sure our government has these types of systems set up for their protection -- Why not Us?! I just wanted a trial sample and now I have $500 + unauthorized charges on my account. My bank is finally trying to help... but they are still in limbo about how they will help with these charges. NOTE: This is obviously a type of financial terrorism to us personally and to out banking system. It seems even though these companies may come from Isreal--- they are now in Florida -- here in our country - illegally, fraudulently ripping off unsuspecting persons. I, personally, am tired of our government being so fraudulent themselves and not protecting its citizens in anyway they can. Where is the justice? Why must the citizens" raise the roof "before attention is had. Shouldn't there be an agency attached that does nothing but web fraud - passing laws - pursuing the criminals. This international stuff is "bunk" if our citizens have access to an avenue of purchasing we should be protected the same and as if we walked into a retail outlet.

This is the second time that this company has made an unauthorized charged to my net spend card. They called me asnd asked if I wanted another bottle sent to me. I told them no. I want both charges and I also have charges from another company (Colon Cleanse) that I did not authorize. I want the money put back on my card. I would greatly appreciate your help in this matter. thanks, Lisa Hurt

Ok so I ordered the free 15 day trial of the Acai Berry, I read the terms and conditions top to bottom, nothing there about any money being taken prior to the 15 days. After the 15 they were going to charge $39.95 a month plus $6.95 shipping and handling... no big deal right? WRONG! They are crooks I have had 3 charges to my account by them and haven't even received my "FREE" trial yet. The first charge was for $127 the second for $6.95 and the last one for .21cents. They don't give you a number or address to contact them, the number on their website is a separate billing company which I have had to deal with twice now, thank god the people there are helpful and have reversed all the charges made by Acai but I was told by one very helpful woman there named Emma that they are having a huge problem with this and she knows of many other companies that are having the same problem with them. These people are crooks and I am going to shout it out from the rooftops they literally took the food right off my families table by sticking their hands places they were not authorized to. You better believe I am keeping my trial once it gets here... oops looks like the post office lost it in transit, oh well Acai F**k YOU!

I saw an online free 14day trial offer for 3.95 for the Acai Berry & Life Cleanse diet pills. I received a small bottle of each & within 5 days also found out they charged my credit card 87.13 4 times. When I went online to investigate I found out this company has pulled this scam on a lot of people. Same story for everyone. They need to be put out of business & not allowed to commit this fraud on an unsuspecting public. I have learned a very valuable lesson & will never order online again. %348.52 for 60 "free" pills is the biggest scam I have ever seen & I am retired on a very fixed income. This is immoral.

I ordered Acai Berry from another company, but I have been charged from extremeberri in the amount of $86.42. I don't know how this company got my account information, but I would like to cancel my account with them. I called the number provided, but it seems like it is a boggus number because it does not take you anywhere. The number I called was [protected]

I can't even contact them all because I didn't order from four customers (i just ordered at one site) so I have to wait till I get another package (2x82, -) and then I will have a telephonnumber that I can call.

I ordered two free bottles of Acai to try. I gave my credit card # for shipment. I was going to try it and see if I liked it. Then, I received in the mail two bottles for $69.90 which was being taken off my credit card. I did not authorize this. I called and they said they auto shipped if I didn't cancel within 21 days. I never saw that warning and hadn't even finished one bottle.

Would be smart to goggle this company before I placed the order …I had some bed feelings about the offer but any way decided to proceed to my credit card information …I ordered a trail period for free ( as was promised online), they suppose to charge only for shipping which would be $ 4.95 . Next month I found my credit card was charged for $54.95 . I called to talk to a customer service and it was explained that I do not have experience how to order online ( btw, I order online almost everything and usually I’m very couscous ), it was hard to get any cancellation for future charges, however I got it but the customer care rep told me that I have to write email with my explanations… My advice to you, people, don’t even try this web, you will receive a bottle of pills ( they don’t work btw)and you will be billed each month for $74 … I didn’t receive any additional bottle of the product …this is a scam ! I will post complaints in other web sites too . Net is full of Acai ads, don’t know if all of them are rip off but this one for sure !

I signed up to receive a free sample of this Acai berry diet aid for myself and my boyfriend--all I had to do was pay shipping charges. They charged the shipping charges but also charged $169.95 for EACH sample. Don't order anything that seems too good to believe!
