After ordering a sample for $3.95, I was charged for more shipments $80.00 plus dollars when I never agreed to further orders or authorized any further charges. After calling the customer service number which coincidentally has a horribly bad phone line so all you can hear is every other word they say, I got it cancelled but the girl then said they take no refunds so I can do whatever I want with my bottles.

After seeing the ad on Rachael Ray's cooking show. I decided to
order the FREE trial size witha $3.95 shipping charge. When
I received the package there was a note in fine print that stated
my Credit Card would be billed automatically each month
after 14 days of trial in the amount of $89.31 for a 31 day supply and each month thereafter for the same amount. A phone number listed to cancel does NOT ANSWER after repeated
calls. I have thjis day filed a complaint with Mr Bill McCollum,
the Florida State Attorney General for this Company's SCAM.
Check the Internet for ACAI BERRY and you will find many, many, complaints about this SCAM.

I ordered a sample of Acai Berry for shipping/handling charges, which I received.

A month later, today, I received a second bottle and my credit card was charged $94.57 for something I did not order.

This "company" offers sending an Acai Berry sample for delivery fee only, and after that they periodically send another samples of dried plants and charge delivery fee to one's credit card again and again. BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM AND CALL YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO STOP ANY PAYMENT. REPORT TO YOUR STATE ATTORGEY GENERAL'S OFFICE, TOO.

I cancelled my order Tuesday, June 16, 2009. You had taken $40.00 out of my account on June 13, 2009 without my consent. Your costumer service said it was cancelled, so I felt relieved. Two days later the $40.oo had been credited back to my account. Today which is Friday, June 19, 2009 I noticed the $40.00 has be debited again with out my consent.
I want this cancelled. I have been sick with blood pressure issues and heart irregularities after trying your product for two weeks. I have no desire to continue. Please cancel now. Thanks, Judy Ramey

I purchased the free sample and just paid for shipping & handling and then I began to be charged for other things. I am still trying to get charges refunded back to my account. the $29.95 was refunded but am still waiting for the $89.31 and a $2.68 charge for being out of the country, even though the website shows the contact address and where the product was shipped from was in Boca Raton, Fla?
I will be filing a formal complaint and dispute through my Financial Institution as well if the 89.31 is not in my account by 12/21/08
We need someone to put an end to this once and for all.
Sincerely Yours,
Mrs. S. K. Castillo

If I can help you after reading below, email me at jeffalex1@yahoo.com

On 1/20/09, I discovered multiple charges of $78.84(Bodycleansingonline), $89.31(Purelife), $84.79 (Purebodycleanse)and
$29.95(Fit-Fac) along with the associated shipping charges of $3.95 (myvipfit.com), $8.51(Pricelimbo) for a total of approximately $499.00 on my wifes online banking statement dating back to 12/2/08. After finding numerous similar complaints online, I went directly to my Credit Union on 1/21/09.I reported them as fraudulent charges, cancelled the debit card and completed a fraudulent use of ATM/Debit/Charge card form. The form lists all fraudulent charge amounts and dates. Today, 1/22/09, all charges have been refunded to her account by our credit union.Don't waste your time trying to recoup your money from the company(s).They are not going to give anything back. Go directly to your financial institution. I was told that my debit card was backed (protected) by VISA the same as a credit card. The credit union and VISA will go after their money and I believe they will get it.

DO NOT ORDER ANY FREE TRAIL - Pay for shipping only product, until you have searched out all complaints boards.

Well, here's another Free Trial scam and it joins a bunch of others.

I earlier posted a complaint for ColonAid700 Colon Aid 700 after they illigally hit my charge card for $88.97 (see my complete posting of the details involved in this scam).

Yesterday, I was horified to see that something else was hitting my credit card. I suspected it was the Acai Berry Supreme AcaiBerry Supreme, because there was a currency exchange fee hitting also.

This product is sent from outside the US, so not only do you get charged for the product, you also have to pay the currency conversion fee. And, these Free Trail sites are all the same in their scam tactics and I suspect many of them are related to each other.

A new twiste and added educational item is that the Acai Berry scamers will hit your account for just the shipping in order to make sure you have not closed your account - after their first illegal charges came through. If, all goes smoothly, then they hit it with the full amount which is usually around $88.62!

Do not bother trying to call these companys. No one answers and my calls kept getting dropped. And, don't waste you time emailing them either. It is a scam. Just call you financial institution and file a dispute to get your money back. They be smarter next time!

Ordered a Free Trial only to have my card charged 2 fees of $5.95 and charged for 2 bottles @ 88.62 each, I called [protected] and spoke to a rep that was very reluctant to get a Supervisor on the line. I signed n o contracts yet my card was charged and it wasn't until I spoke to someone that they advised me of the 'Terms and Conditions' something I was not made aware of in the beginning. I was advised my money would be returned with no ETA and referred to this website to post a complaint. I advised the account rep that these charges are fraudulent and needed to be corrected. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and contacting my bank as well!

These people are frauds. I send free trial sample back but was charges in less than two weeks for $79.96 anyway. The service representative had such asn accent I had to have her repeat and repeat the information to me. They would not reverse the charges. An additional fee of $29.95 was added for a another live chat available to me which I knew nothing of. I'm furious and these people need to be run out of business!

What a scam! How frustrating. Finally got an on-line chat support person, whom I repeatedly conveyed to that I wanted to immediately cancel and pay no further billings. I originally paid shipping and handling for my trial bottle, contacted the company (after many attempts by phone) online to cancel. Thought it was taken care of, no more products received at all. Then two months later they have billed my credit card, when I called to demand a refund, got some guy who tried to talk a streak around a refund! I am waiting now to see if my card gets refunded. I am furious! Is this how they make their money?!

This is a FRAUDULENT Company. I ordered the ACAI BERRY & COLON CLEANSE. I read all the fine print and I knew that my 14 day free trial began the day they actually shipped not from the day I received the product. I used the tracking number to check when it actually shipped and was in my city Post office to call them. I called on Oct. 14th to cancel and was told it needed to be return postmarked in 6 more days. With the RMA# which was the same as the order #. I was told it was canceled and would not be charged if I returned it postmarked before the 20th. They had not even shipped the Acai berry yet but was told it was shipping out that day and needed to be postmarked by the 26th. I received the colon cleanse on the 15th and I took out my 14 days worth for my free trial and went directly to the post office. I paid $1.80 to return it with delivery confirmation. I checked it made it back to them on the 20th which it only needed to be postmarked by. I did the same thing with the Acai berry, I received it the 21st, I took out my 14 day trial and went directly to the post office, they also received it the day it was supposed to be postmarked on the 26th of October. GUESS WHAT? MY VISA COMPANY called this morning to say that a known fraudulent company had placed two charges on my account. One was charged on the 20th, and the other on the 26th. those were supposed to be postmarked dates not actual received dates. Anyway my charge company said they were an overseas international company and are running a SCAM! When they saw the second charge a red flag went up and they called me to verify the charges. I told them the story and they are denying the charges, and any future charges by this company. So I suggest anyone who has ordered from this company to call their charge card company immediately and let them know when you have canceled the product, and to deny any further charges from the company. To be honest I haven't even tried the product I am too afraid too! If they are a fraudulent company, how do I know the product isn't fraudulent also?

I place an order for a trial size and had to pay shipping and handling. It has been several weeks and I still have not received any product. I did notice a charge to my credit card from IP Online Health which is Acai Berry for 109.44. When I called I was told that the terms and conditions outlines this. However I did tell them that I had not received any product, so how would I know if I like it? She said she new I had not recieved my order as it showed "pending" on her system. This is definately a scam and she put me on hold and never returned.

There was an offer online for a free trial supply of Acia Berry cleansing pills with a one dollar charge for shipping and handling. I just found out that a company called Fit Factory that I had never heard of charged my debit card for 29.95. So, I googled this company and got a number for customer service. I was told that when I ordered the free trial of Acai Berry I also authorized to become a member of this company which suppose to be a members only web site for fitness. I explained to the guy that I did not want to be a member I only wanted the free trial of the Acai Berry cleansing pills. He stated that he was unable to give me a refund but he could cancel my membership which would prevent any future charges. I feel this is totally unfair I have no idea of this members only web site and have never used it before, and I also have never received the pills that I ordered! When I told him I didn't receive the pills, he told me that even though Fit Factory and Acai Berry are partnered that he was unable to help me because they don't do the actual shipping of the pills, and he gave me another number to call. When I called the number he gave me I was placed on for over 45 min. and still no one ever came to the phone. This was all on 11/13/2008, I have been calling there every since then and still was unable to speak to anyone! What am I suppose to do?

I fell for the same scam! But I managed to track down some information that might be helpful. This company has several address' & phone numbers that you cannot get a hold of anyone. I do have a number where you actually talk to a very rude foreign person, [protected].
The address 4650 SW 51st St Suite 711 Davie FL 33314 is just off S State Rd 7, located in a Pelican Bays building.
Even though I can get my money $89.31 back I am shooting for a little peace of mind that this fradulent company can be shut down with proper actions taken.
Please contact the Davie Criminal Investigations at community@daviepolice.com or the Office of Chef of Police policechef@davie-fl.gov. with an email about your encounter with this company.
Hopefully if we all band together we can do something about this! The internet is such a useful tool if we all would just utilize it, and then at least we can get some satisfaction out of all this. I also bet that they are in our country illegal, so that would put alot of illegal immigrants back where they belong!

Sincerely,
Taking Action

SCAM! *** SCAM! ***SCAM!
Infuriated by this fraudulent company. I fell for the deceiving advertisement, “FREE trial offer” online and paid 3.95 shipping/handling. A few weeks after that, I was charged 89.31, and received 2 more bottles that I didn’t even want. I wasn't even given a choice if I wanted this, they just billed my credit card. I was completely victimized by this company, along with hundreds, maybe thousand of other people. My checking account actually bounced from their charge, creating overdraft fees from my bank. Couldn’t get a hold of this misleading company, but when I finally did, they were rude, inpatient, and refused to help me, told me to read the “fine print” then hung up. I was appalled. THEY WILL BE REPORTED. WE WILL GET OUR MONEY BACK! TAKE A COUPLE MIN TO VOICE YOUR OPINION. WE WERE SCAMMED AND DESERVE OUR MONEY BACK! EXTREME ACAI BERRY IS AN EXTREME RIP-OFF!

I ordered the sample product. the ingredients are literally: white tea, wild mustard (acai) and "proprietary blend". that's it!
Acai is a wild mustard the homeopathic name is on the label as "Euterpe Oleracea" 4:1 (fruit)
It will give you diarrhea, the proprietary blend in health food stores is sold to regulate sugar. the white tea, well, lets face it. I'm not
paying 88.62 for this snake oil!
they charged my credit card $88.62 without my permission and no way to contact them to say, i don't want your crappy product, plus there is no return address toto make a return too and there is no way to reach those people. they get your credit card number and you pay shipping for the sample and its all a scam.
if you call during business hours, 9am to 6pm monday to friday, no one answers the phone. it remains busy all day. until the end of the business day.
if you send an email or try the "live chat" at their website of :

with the blonde pictured on their homepage named Jessica, well, no one is there!
these people are really beyond rotten thieves.
I want them to burn in hell. God only knows what really is in those pills. Maybe the FDA should check them out and shut them down and fine the living hell out of them.

Hi everyone! I just want to say Thank You for writting your stores about this company. I was lucky and cancel my C.C. after reading your stores. What's so scary about this is we were all ready to take this pill, and we have no idea what harmful things it could of done to us.
I run a online company and I look for misleading things, and you are all right.. it look so good! no where did it say they are going to charge your account later. This kind of scam should be looked into, and these people should go to jail for what they have done to all of us! The bad news about companys like this ...it hurts the good honest people who sell there product on-line.

it is definitely a scam, the [protected] number i called either on hold for long time and got answer and got hung up when i asked for refund. called in to cancel within the 14days, they still charged the $91 to my bank account, and they told me that product is was on the way i just have to return it and the $ will be credited to my account. after 2months i called up, they said "oh you have to call again to say you have return it" even if they give me a confirmation number that it was cancel and will be refund, now another month has passed, i called again the first answer is they did not charge me then they hung up on me, i called again the 2nd time when they heard i ask for the refund pending, they just hung up on me again. the 3rd attempt they told me that they do not issue refund they will just cancel the order. i told them i was charged for something i didnot received in oct 08, they said you just have to wait for it., and again they said we have other calls to take we are finished talking we will not issue a refund to you. even if you say you will go to consumer association to report, she said this is not a scam we have good business. can you believe this!

I recently sent for a trial supplement for Acai berry recommended by the Rachael Ray. I didn't even get to try the supplement before they charged my credit card for 78.81. I called a customer service number and spoke with someone from India who said they would not refund my money and did not want to cancel an order I did not place. I did not try the supplement because I had broken my arm and was on pain medication. I want my money refunded.

Like all of us I was a victim too. When I ordered the product it was only suppose to cost me $4.99 for S&H. Since I completed the order online they were suppose to send me an email confirmation. I never received the email confirmation nor was my account charged $4.99. To add to it, I never received my trial. So I thought it was safe to assume that I didn't finish the online order. That was until the other day when I had a charge of $79.96 coming our of my account from acai berry. I called the number and I was very irrate with her and told her should could not charge me the $79.96 because I never received the product. She told me that she apologized that I did not receive the product and she will reship the product that day. I told her NO, I do not want the product now I just want them to refund me my money. She said she could not do that because I did not follow the terms and conditions. My question was to her how can I follow the terms and conditions when I never received notification that I ordered the product or never received the product. I told her this was a scam and what this company is doing is wrong. I asked her to cancel everything in my name. But she still tried to sell me other products. What Nerve! I notified my bank and they told me that I was not the only one that was being ripped off. They cancelled my card so no other charges will be coming out my account. I even work for a FI and I should of done more digging on this product. With having Racheal Ray, Opera, NBC, The Today Show names out on the website giving this good reviews, gives a false sense of security. I hope they stop promoting this product and/or website. RS

I ordered a "free" sample for $4.95 shipping & handling and within two weeks was charged $59.95 on my credit card plus $6.95 web access fees plus $9.95 membership fees. This is a huge scam for which everyone should be aware. The product is NOT FREE. Furthermore, it did not agree with me and so I called and was told I could return what was left for a refund. This cost me $11.95 in postage and I waited weeks for the refund. I had to phone them 3 times before they finally gave it to me. In the meantime an auto-shipped parcel arrived which I never signed up for and a further $59.95 charge appeared on my credit card. I refused the parcel and am still waiting for the credit. MasterCard are sending me a dispute form and have said that they are confirmed scam artists and that people should be very wary of purchasing anything on the web using their credit card. Acai Berry say I agreed to the web access charges and the membership fees when I agreed to the terms & conditions. RUBBISH! They make you think all you are requesting is a so called "FREE SAMPLE" costing you "ONLY" $4.95. THIS IS A LIE AND THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES ARE FRAUDULENT! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Trial order of their product. The product did nothing for me. So I just forgot about it. Surprise.. a bottle of their product arrives with a $78.81 charge to my credit card. I returned the product, the bottle was still sealed, with instructions to cancel any further product and to issue a credit on my Credit card. This was done after several phone calls, I was put on hold for about 5 minutes...then disconnected. One time instead of disconnecting me the line was opened to hear people speaking Spanish as if they were in a work environment..i.e. office, out on a maufacturing floor. I finally hung up. I have tried repeatedly since to reach them by phone but to no avail.

2 more products have now been sent and they now charge $83.80 per bottle to my credit card, I have returned both of these bottles to them. On April 14th, I again tried their phone number..I actually got a live body, a man who had a foreign accent. I explained my problem and inability to reach them via phone. He assured me thousands of their customers are able to reach them daily...in essence calling me a liar. When I asked and them demanded a refund to my credit card he told me that on their site it is clearly explained that the trial offer is for 14 days and I have to notify them within those 14 days to cancel my order. I told him I saw nothing like that...perhaps in some fine print on the site which I did not see. Too bad...was the essence of his story. I told him I had returned the first one with instructions to cancel...tough, not within the 14 days. He finally consented to saying he would issue a credit to my credit card in the amount of $78.81 for the first bottle that I received after my trial order, which I returned to them with the instruction to cancel further bottles of their product. I asked to speak with his supervisor..he said his supervisor would tell me the same thing.. no refunds of the two more bottle which they had sent and I have returned. Finally I insisted I wanted to speak to his supervisor...he said all the supervisors were busy...I told him this whole operation was a SCAM! I then asked how could I communicate with a person of authority in his company...could he give me an address where I could write someone...he offered an e-mail address...services, advancedwellnessresearch.com...so I wrote a complaint to this address again requesting a refund. To date I have had no response. This company if obviously an off-shore operation as I also get a "foreign transaction fee" on my credit card. I urge any and all to avoid this SCAM, SHAM, company.

Ordered free trial, never rec's anything else to cancel or reorder and charged my card without permission. Very uncooperative when you try to cancel and receive a refund. They state their Company has a no refund policy. I hope someone puts them out of business and collects all monies made from this scam and sends back to all consumers effected by this. Companies do this because they can!

This seems to be part of a large, well-financed, and talented scam team. They appear to hawk several products such as colon cleanse and tooth whiteners. There is no physical address. Try to reach them and all you get is "info@acaiherbal.com" email. From complaints of other victims, it appears these folks move around from state to state.

Their site contains endorsements. Allegedly Hollywood/TV prominents Rachael Rae and Oprah are heavy endorsers. The degree to which Rachel Rae appears on the site indicates that she really could be involved.

The web sites are aggressive and programmed to take control of the user's computer. If you try to click away from their site, their code will block your browser's ability to back up or even close. On a Mac OSX--use "Force Quit" immediately. The site tries to direct you to watch videos and interact with a supposedly "live agent."

If you try to cancel your order or subscription through one of the "live agents, " the garbage you'll get back in reply has no bearing on your issue of wanting to cancel. It appears they have a computer programmed to generate a few replies or a few poorly educated telemarketers under orders to send out just certain canned responses.

You:Where is the physical address of your company and a phone, please?

Megan Says:Sure contact our helpful support team at info@acaiherbal.com with any questions about the products you might have. You can also contact our billing and customer service staff at this e-mail address."

The fact that FTC hasn't shut this thing down after scamming thousands of people for months is troubling. It makes me wonder if connected VIPs really are behind it who have the influence to prevent being prosecuted and these sites shut down.

I agree with those who advise cancelling your credit card. In fact, canceling my card AND moving my accounts to a new institution and starting over might even be warranted. These people seem to be BAD NEWS. Avoid their site .

I also intend to boycott anything related to Rachel Rae, Oprah or any Hollywood divas who appear on this site as connected with scamming so many innocent people.

BYER BEWARE-THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM!
I came across this article about this product, Oprah recommended. FREE just pay shipping. Such a lie. I have been fighting with these people for 4 months now. Every month they charge my card for three charges- 81.95, 4.95, 2.95. You call them they suddenly have phone problems, you email them they ignore you. I have been assured that they latest charges have been refunded to my card. ONLY after I threatened to sue them. The kicker is the only reason I even tried it was because of Oprah. I will never do that again.
