Zbiddy.com unauthorized $100 charge

A friend of mine recommended the site and said you had to register and give them a payment method in case you won a bid and purchased something. Surprise ! they charged me $100 without asking and would not reverse the charges . They said I could use the bidding points to purchase things on their site but the site says you have to pay in order to bid on items whether you win them or not.

This appears to be a total scam and just another way to steal money from innocent people.

Zbiddy.com no prize and bank charges

not only did i never receive what I won, but each 0.79 cent charge was being processed as an automatic re occurring payment so that when they bounced (cause I was short by $6, it went though even though I had no money in my account because it was set up as an auto payment. $6 turned into $150 after my bank charged me $35 per 0.79 cent transaction as insifficunt funds.

Who are these people who think that they can deduct funds from my account without authorization? Not on my watch. I have already called my bank, and is about to call the Attorney General's office. They took $99.00 out of my account, which will have to be redeposited. I am not someone to be reckoned with.,

I went to zbiddy because I had 25 bids, when I won the bid for $0.37 I went to pay for it and they charged me $29.99. Did not give me an option as to if i wanted their bigger bid package or not. When I spoke to their rep. she stated it was a benifit to me, the normal cost was $75.00...so every time I put in a bid they can
throw in anything that I would benifit from? WRONG!

Be very careful in looking at the zbiddy web-site . If you put in a credit card to explore a "package" and the options, they will zap your account quicker than greased lighting and then tell you they have a no refund policy.

Zbiddy.com will not refund me

Zbiddy owes me $99.00 and will not refund me. I put more then that on their site but have used some of the funds. I no longer want to bid on their items and have $99.00 left in my account.

I have emailed and asked several times for a refund and they will not do it.
Can you help me get my funds returned to me?

Zbiddy.com they hit my account when I did not purchase

I was checking out their site, entered my account info and then decided not to make purchase at this time so close to Christmas, so I backed out, I never finalized the transaction. But they still charged my bank account $99.00 ! I called zbiddy [protected] when I saw the charge hit my account, I was told it could not be refunded but, she would send me a $100 gas card usable at ANY gas station and still keep the bids, I said no, I did not make this purchase and want my account credited. She then said she could refund $40.50 to my account and I could still keep the bids and the gas card as well and that nothing further would be charged to my account, that was her final offer!
EVERYONE BEWARE when you visit this site >>> zbiddy.com

And to the Complaints Board, I wonder if Zbiddy and Facebook are somehow linked, how ironic I could not even share my complaint to Facebook from this site (using your facebook recommend button)!, nor could I post to my friends to beware by using their site link, I had to use zbiddy dot com in order for it to post ... or enter a password! hmmmmmmm ?

That simply doesn't matter, I DID NOT COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION, IT WAS CANCELLED. But the site obviously stores any info a person puts in and then THEY COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION ... Why do you think when you call them because you see it deducted from your bank account and ask it to be reversed, they offer you a $100 gas card to use at ANY gas station, when you say no, they offer you a $49.50 credit PLUS the gas card and you can keep the credits! hellooooooooooooooooooooo ... BOOM

Zbiddy.com Ripoff site !

A Fool and his $$ are easily parted !
Zbiddy !
This ripoff place will steal your credit card money fast !
1) What they are selling ? They actually sell you BIDS at .60 cents each . and a dream.
2) They charge you UPFRONT and WITHOUT your approval - $99 (USA dollars) for 1650 Sixteen hundreds and fifty !
bids you can use solely to 'bid' on some ridiculously REDUCED NEW consumer's electronics items . (example Iphone 5 by Apple, will 'sell' for $47 dollars, and traps like that.)
3) What you do NOT know and never told PRIOR to your CC 'Rape' - these bids have to be used in 45 days or you lose them !
So - if you didn't find anything you like to bid on - you'll be out of your $99 in no time.
4) The bidding is yet another joke !
Zbiddy does NOT tell you how many items are in the bidding contest - there is no serial number, no Lot number, you don't even know if they have that product !
you, and many other suckers are bidding on ONE virtual item at the time . There is NO telling how many other bidders are looking at the same 'New Ipad ', as you !
Your hard earned bid-money could be burnt in ONE day - and you won nothing...
5) Bidding against Zombies !
- For all I checked - bidders are most likely just GHOSTS ! - a figment of the Zbiddy programmer 's imagination. NOT real bidders .
You'll never win - and the 'Zombies' will never tired. Your money will run out soon enough.

6) If its sounds too good to be true - it probably is ! rarely told about a more sleazy web site !
7) What can you do - Dispute ALL charges from this 'snake den' ! Including the 3% fee for an 'International Charge' by your bank !
8) Write to your local Newspaper, the FCC, Your state Attorney General, CBS 60 Minutes, Complaintsboard.com. '[redacted].com,
and to anybody else who will listen !
They can cheat some of the people - some of the time, but their day is near !

They got me too.
I went to thier website just to look around and figure out how it worked. After viewing what the sales records actually were I soon saw it was a scam and things actually sold for full retail value on thier site. You might save $20 wich would cover the mail costs.
So I forgot about them not planning to return only to find that my account had ben charged $99 for the credit card check instead of the 99 cents they stated. Meaning I had to change my card number to keep them from doing it agin in a month due to the hidden subsciption statement.

I was on another website shopping for a laptop and was transferred to the Zbiddy website and said I needed to register to start bidding.. It asks for CC info but didnt think anything of it.. I just thought it would be the CC you would use when/if you won a bid.. Instead when you click the submit, it says thank you for your order for 99.00 to bid.. I didnt authorize it.. It said no where that they would charge my card. Wehn my CC company opens in the morning, I am calling them to cancel this charge and dispute it and have to cancel my CC so they dont just start to charge my card. If there is a class action suit on this, I want in on it.. This is not good.. I have shopped online since the 90's with my CC and never had anything like this happen to me.. I acutally started on Overstock. com and ended up at ZBiddy.. Wow! Not good.

It would seem to any nonemployee of Zbiddy that they are still making unauthorized charges to VISA card holders. I signed up on 7/19/2013 and was not told of any registration fee, was not told of any charges what so ver, but was charged $99.00. I was told that I would get 25 free bids. I used 19 and then emailed them to unsubscribe. I did not bid on, agree to or authorize any bid package either. I will call them about this and if this does not work, then I will file a complaint with my VISA card rep.

Zbiddy.com Fake auctions

See for yourself and make your own conclusions from my chat with a live agent from Zbiddy.com:

[Laura]
Thank you for contacting our Customer Support.

My name is Laura. how may I help you today?

[Visitor] Hi
[Visitor] I was looking into your website
[Visitor] is it possible to bid from Canada?
[Visitor] I mean, do you guys work with Canadian customers?
[Laura] Sure Visitor, we are working with Canadian customers.
[Visitor] ahh, because I was trying to register but it only gave me the option of entering a US state
[Visitor] what's the difference between your rookie website and the zbiddy.com?
[Laura] The rookie is for beginners.
[Laura] Zbiddy is for the regular customers.
[Visitor] really?
[Laura] Correct Visitor.
[Visitor] I've seen an Iphone 5 there and there is none in the Zbiddy.com website
[Visitor] that's what I am interested in
[Visitor] what do I do then?
[Laura]
we keep updating the site in a daily basis, unfortunately I do not have that exact information at this time, I recommend you to keep checking the site in order to see which items we have

[Visitor] so, but what do I have to do in order to "win" the Iphone 5
[Laura]
Have you ever participated in a penny auction before?

A penny auction is not like a traditional auction. Everyone will first need to purchase bids in order to participate. Bids are credits here, and the value of each bid is usually around $.60.

Each time you bid it will increase the price of the auction by one penny, and each time a new bid is placed within the last 15 seconds of the auction, it will take the clock back up to 15 seconds.

This gives everyone an opportunity to place another bid, just like a traditional auction, going once, going twice, sold! It's very simple, you goal is to be the final bidder when the clock hits zero!

[Visitor] do I have to register on the rookie website or the biddy.com?
[Visitor] yeah, I kinda know that part
[Laura] You need to go to Zbiddy.com
[Visitor] so, I am lost. What the users that are bidding on the Iphone on the Rookie website did to be able to do that?
[Visitor] because you said that I have to go to biddy.com
[Visitor] and there's no Iphone there
[Laura] You wont find Iphones at Rookie website
[Visitor] when I go to the rookie webiste it gives me some free bids
[Laura] Those items are the one that we have at Zbiddy.com
[Visitor] just to bid on limited staff
[Visitor] and it states that the rest of the products that are being auctioned are just for biddy.com customers
[Visitor] and there is no iphone in the biddy.com website
[Visitor] is this rookie website fake then?
[Visitor] http://rookie.zbiddy.com/?welcome
[Visitor] I see an iphone being auctioned right now there
The operator has ended the chat. Thanks for contacting us.

Yes i agree, they are out to rip u off make u beleive that u can get high priced items at a very low cost. But they dont tell u, that swhen the clock hits zero when u continue to hit your bid to clock in when on the last second they reset the clock by 15 seconds, over and over again so u run out of bids and have to purchase more, by then someone else has gotten the item u were bidding on.. For beginners, its very unfair, because even though u read the rules of the "GAME" it hard to understand until u have gone threw it the first time, therefore you loose 60.00 first time around, and yes the begginers bidding site is a rip off i was the last bidder and the only bidder, on the item i chose, and i never got the item.. They totoally confuse u... I didnt give them a 2nd chance to rip me off. This world is full of liar's.. But we should not only blog about them on sites like this but report them to the online scam officials there's a web site SCAM VICTUM'S UNITED. I just made a complaint about the national magazine exchange Please, we must all do our part and quit excepting these thieves taking our money

Zbiddy.com Failure to send won product

I bid on a Dyson vacuum cleaner and got the message "You are high bidder".
Zbiddy.com charged my Debit card for the price of $18.99 that I won the bid with, but NEVER SENT ME THE VACUUM CLEANER! It is unethical and I want a full refund from ZBiddy. I got into an online chat with them, and they just walked out on me without resolving the problem. The company is not holding up their end of a competitive auction by not giving their customers the items they successfully bid on - while taking the money from the customer. It is FRAUD!

Please cancel my membership at Zbiddy.com effective immediately! I was billed $99.00 and I didn't even buy anything! This site is a scam and I got to it through greatgifts.com, wal-mart, which is a BIG scam. Their site is not even active. Perhaps that is why this happened. Again, I thought tzbiddy was a free site. My Mother is very sick in the hospital and I can't afford this charge! I signed up earlier today, Sun., Oct. 28, 2012. I also provided credit info, not sure if they have already billed my account. I will contact my credit union and attempt to stop payment if its there. I did not buy anything, but now have concerns that after reading various online complaints, I'm starting to fell sick. I clicked on the site which was sent to me through a PCH email, Publishers Clearing House. I have already deleted every PCH email except this one and will never respond to another offer, ever. Good job PCH. I trusted you to screen offers prior to sending them to me.

Zbiddy.com Wasted hard earned money

I received an email from someone stating the product were so cheap to bid on because its a new site, and not many people know about it. You have to buy a certain amount of bids. Once any item gets down to 12 seconds, so many people (or generated people?)start bidding, no one ever wins. Or at least I never saw anyone win anything other than more bids. I spent over $85 on bids. In 2 1/2 hour and couldn't win anything. Wasted hard earned money.

Zbiddy.com This site was probably started by somebody with the last name Madoff

I bought some bids in the beginning and won some small five dollar gift cards but when i got into a little more you can never win anything of real value. I always have connectivity problems then they say I have no bids when i have several hundred. It is just a joke this site was probably started by somebody with the last name Madoff.

Complaining to the BBB is a 100% waste of time, they can't do anything but give a bad rating. Contact law enforcement as it is fraud (they charged me $84 when I clicked on an item that said trial and a penny, and I backed out when the amount showed, and never hit authorize, yet they still charged it)

What a shame that you have to threat to sue them and inform them of your bank credit protection program to get your refund back. I did just this last night: politely requested the refund, declined all the offers, reminded them of malpractice and it was my courtesy to ask for refund instead of using other approaches. After spending 28 minutes on the phone, I called my bank and verified that the $99 charge had been reversed, which took me another 16 minutes. Misato, how much did you get paid from the fraudulent money? I'm glad you left.

@wifi8827 Its true! if you want your money back, do the following, first try to call at 9 pm or 10 pm EST. that way your call will be answered in the callcenter that is located in colombia, once you`ve done that request your money, DO NOT GET ANGRY, just very politely request your money say that you are not happy, that you will complain with the BBB, also that you have your bank in the line, if the person offers you a Gift Card dont accept it, then they will try to offer you a 50% plus the GC, DONT accept it, then they will offer you a 75%, after that if they wont agree to a full refund, say and do this "ok I will call my bank and have them dispute this" and then hung up the phone, they will have to call you back and then they will give you a full refund. how do I know this, well cuz I worked there.

Zbiddy.com ZBIDDY should be put out of business

I received an e-mail detailing how much money people saved on purchases through their auction. How they received my e-mail address is in question. I stupidly provided my charge card number and was immediately charged. I tried to cancel the transacion by trying to use their chat without success. I tried to forward them an e-mail to customer support with no response. There were no up front instructions that for every bid 60 cents is charged against the $60.00 to begin the bidding process. After 100 bids, I maxed out without winning anything. Unlike E-bay, that you first bid at no cost and if you win pay for the item. Who in their right mind would pay to bid. It's not a cost savings but a scam. It was $60 dollars thrown away. ZBIDDY should be put out of business.

More of a comment, than complaint:
I too was hood-winked into a product. Before I knew it, I was billed $79 bucks. Okay, stupid me, right? So I played their game, won a burger king card and never got it. I did get some e books just fine and downloaded those. Woopiedoo. Then I complained about something to their customer service and she was a delight and went the extra mile to make good; well, I never received my 100 bucks in gas certificates. So much for the "delight"...another b-ser.

Bottom line is this: if you think you want something for nothing, um, get a brain. Be careful buying from a company outside the US...at least here, the US still has some semblance of integrity...um...some...Remember: when in doubt...

Zbiddy.com Charged for package

I registered for Zbiddy Online Auctions to look around at the auction site and products. What I didn't realize is that right after you enter your name and email to register, another pop-up asks for your credit card information. I thought this was part of the registration process and my credit card would only be charged if I bid on an auction. However that's not the case, they charged my credit card for $99.00 package.

I tried to resolve this by calling their customer service department, however they said I authorized the package purchase even if I didn't realize it and than ALL PURCHASES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. That is what I want all users to take away from this post... ALL PURCHASES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

The customer service department offered a $100.00 gas card that would require me to mail in all my gas receipts to get reimbursed. I declined and I am pursuing an formal investigation through my Discover account.

Buyer beware.

"zbiddy is a penny auction, which means you pay each time you bid, and the last bidder gets the item. The opportunity to win products at a discount is very real; in most cases, the winning bidder pays a fraction of the item's retail cost. You just have to be smart about when and how you bid since each bid has monetary value.
The complaints most people have is that they didn't know they were being charged when they signed up and bought bids. If you check out zbiddy's website, it's obvious that you have to buy a bid package before you can bid on any items, so it's really the complaints are illegitimate - not zbiddy. "

Zbiddy.com I was immediately charged $99 upon entering my credit card information

I never got to chose which bid package I wanted, I was immediately charged $99 upon entering my credit card information. I called the customer service dept. immediately. First I was told I would get a $49 refund (which was all "Steven" was authorized to do). I demanded his supervisor. " Mark Gomez" then said he could refund me $74.25. I said there was an error/and or flaw with your website. I never got to chose anything...you people just charged my credit card $99. I never picked anything, . I asked that a copy of this "recorded" phone call be e-mailed to me, as I am in customer service, and know for a fact...that it can be done. He refused. I will be contacting the Florida Attorney general, the BBB, any and all website's related to this fraud..and USAA...my credit card company. This isn't right.

So my best advice if you want just to view this website be aware that you will be charge an amount that they want just to see the auctions. Too bad!

I wish I would have checked out this site before I registered on Zbiddy. I was just taken for 99.00 as well. When they asked for a credit card # I thought it would be like ebay I would only be charged if I won the bid. I was never asked if I wanted to buy tokens for a bid, it simply stated free registration. Who pays 99.00 and get nothing in return. So if there are a 100 bids on a kindle fire they basically get over 10, 000.00 for that one kindle and no one is guaranteed to win because the time keeps resetting..That is BS## This should be illegal. I am contacting my news channel troubleshooter hotline to report this company. Everyone should know about their fraudulent practices.

Every penny auction site works that way. Zbiddy.com is a legit site and the registration on the website is free. To purchase your bids, you will be required to pay $0.60 per bid and the bids come in packs of all sizes. Every bid placed on the auction will add couple of seconds to the timer. It is advisable to read the website's terms and conditions thoroughly prior to choosing to participate.

Zbiddy.com Fraud

This company said to buy their bids, I spend $100.00 on bids, however, while I was bidding on a gold bar they stopped my bidding and said I should pay the fixed price. The bid was $22.00 and the fixed price was $79.00. I guess I spent too many of my bids and they shut me down. You have to pay to bid and you have to pay the final bid price. They they decide you have bid too much and force you to pay full price anyway. This is stealing. They can keep my remaining 114 bids because I won't use them for anything more than a lesson in being so stupid. I hate this trickery. I give them money and they take it, they make me think I will get something for it just to pull it away at the last minute. They must be laughing themselves sick over how many stupid people are falling for their scam. Any they are getting away with it. So much for trust.

I was not aware that I would be automatically charged for bids when I signed up. They also, without notice, charged me for another set of bids . Why I do not know. They refused to return the fees. The auctions are impossible to win and there are only about two items up at a time. All other auctions are for bid amounts or gift cards which are available at a cost of $13.oo for a ten dollar gift card. Stay away!

It's a SCAM!

Everything people are saying against this fraudulent company is true. After 45 minutes of arguing zbiddy said they are refunding my $99 and I will receive an email in 24-48 hours saying so, and the refund will be complete withing 2 weeks. If it’s not, I’ll be posting again. As soon as I realized I was charged $99 – that at first I thought was my negligence, but after reading reviews see it’s their ploy – I did a live chat to ask for my refund. After 3 minutes I was told I would need to make a phone call. I thought I reached India, but the rep said it was Florida. David began his sales pitch of offering me free bids and just try it.

After 45 minutes of yelling through the phone, and furiously stating I want my $99 back, not a restaurant voucher, gas voucher, discounts – NOTHING! Every time he began his sales pitch up again I rudely stated I didn’t want to hear anything other than the word “REFUND”. I told him I would be putting reviews all over the internet, and while I was saying it, I searched for reviews and found this website. So I began reading to David about this scam, then asked him how he liked working for a company that steals from people. I couldn’t believe that everything that just happened to me I was reading about.

So it’s NOT YOU if you got tricked into this, it’s the website that sucked you in. DON’T accept ANYTHING but a refund. Then report this company to every agency possible and every review possible. I will post it on Facebook to every friend I have. Oh, and I called my Credit Card Company to cancel – they can’t do anything until it’s posted to the account. So I will call back in a day or so.

Zbiddy is a scam! They were supposed to return the $50 priceline/thehotelclub gift card value they collected on booking on 5/22/12 a hotel within 3 weeks. It has been over 4 weeks and no word from them except on 6/15/2012: “we got slammed with the PCI compliancy///” whatever PCI compliancy means and why is that my problem that they are not returning my refund? THen on 6/23/012: “It is in our Accounting department now.”. So why should it still be in “accounting” and not in my bank account? No response from priceline/thehotelclub and no emails from zbiddy since I asked them what was going on. Also the value of the items Zbiddy is offering is declining into just a few value items with lots of subscriptions to mags ($18 S&H fee) and more priceline (rip off) hotel cards! Seems like zBidddy is going the way of snoopo with declining values and slow or no returns of gift card amounts that you have to pay in advance to get the value of the hotel cards! beware of these “penny” auctions stealing your dollars!

This is a total scam! I won a "rookie" bid, a $15.00 I-Tune card, for $3. 60. But when I paid, I was charged another $79.00 for bids that I did not purchase! When I demanded my money back, I was told half of that amount would be refunded. I fear I will never see a penny of that. This is nothing but a giant SCAM! I will post this on FB everyday for the rest of my life to warn people away from zbiddy!

This site should be shut down immediately. I "won" several items, paid for them and have received no contact from them since. It's been over a month now. I had a cyber-chat with someone at the site who promised she would "elevate" my complaint. (maybe she meant expedite), and told me I would receive an email from her with the content of our chat and that I would be contacted within 48 hours concerning the problems with my "wins." 3 weeks and still waiting. Does anyone know of an official site... class action lawsuit? I want my money back and from what I've read, they have scammed thousands of people. That site has to be shut down.

This company thinks that we are all stupid. They take advantage of their customers, making them think that they are winning alot, but are actually paying alot. They are getting scammed.

I was on ZBiddy. My credit card had unauthorized charges on it. You get charged the price that you won the item plus a service charge. This may be very confusing when you win many items. Your credit/debit card will have 10 charges on it for 5 items that you won. Now here is the catch: I had a $ .02 charge on it that was not authorized. They couldn't explain where this came from, only that they are connected with other overseas companies. Hey. Taking one penny unauthorized is STEALING. Multiply these pennies by who knows how many customers and you have big bucs. IT IS A SCAM. I had them live online and they counldn't explain some of these charges. I was going to go over them one at a time. They couldn't explain them. (I HAD MANY UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES). I had to close my account with them in order to get my credit card numbers out of their system. I did this to avoid any further charges. I also blocked all my cards and got new ones.
Before bidding on something you should read the fine print below the description, because there are MANY restrictions, exclusions...etc. Things that are FREE are not really FREE when you find out all the information. I won $2000 grocery cash. When I got on the site I had to pay additional fees. I had to pay $300+ for a plane ticket that I could get on my own for less that half the price. This was in order to get FREE companion airfare. Some people were bidding on items that were worth $5. They would win the item for, lets say, $2 and then pay a fee on top of it. THE ZBIDDY SYSTEM SUCKS AND IS A SCAM. They are just stealing your money. I heard about many Companies/crooks out there that will get your credit/debit card number when you purchase. or win something and then make some additional, small charges on them (so you won't notice). This company did this to me. It happens to many people out there. BEWARE
