I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your store on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at approximately 6:45 pm. I was shopping with my daughter and using the self-checkout line when we experienced treatment that I believe was discriminatory and unacceptable.

While we were scanning and paying for our items, the store manager approached us and closely watched our every move, as though we were attempting to steal. The manager’s body language and prolonged surveillance made it very clear that we were being singled out. Other customers in the self-checkout area were not subjected to the same level of scrutiny. My daughter and I both felt humiliated and racially profiled by this behavior.

As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and dignity. Instead, this incident left us embarrassed, uncomfortable, and reluctant to return to your store. Racial profiling has no place in customer service, and it deeply undermines the trust and inclusivity that should be upheld in your business.

I request that this matter be thoroughly investigated and addressed. I also ask that you provide training for your staff and management to ensure that no other customers are subjected to similar treatment. Please confirm in writing how you intend to address this situation.
