My dear old neighbour lost her husband so she applied for her own Westpac credit card. They have banked with Westpac their whole life and they have never paid a bill late, ever! She is very comfortable with a large amount of superannuation funds (no pension). After being put through the wringer by Westpac to produce identification documents, share portfolio statements, superannuation funds statement Westpac denied her application! Everytime Westpac asked for more documentation we would print the requirements and she would drive the documents to the local Westpac Bank the next day. Shame on you Westpac, you could not have a more solid customer. Something is very wrong with your process, staff and AI. I have never banked and will never bank with you.
