I made a couple of purchases through TIKTOK shop using AFFIRM and KLARNA which were paid off within a month or so on those apps. A few weeks ago I noticed a charge from TIKTOK and I thought they were still charging me so I reached out to them. I learned TIKTOK SHOP and TIKTOK are 2 different platforms and I was advised tht they were not the ones charging me, that I should filke a claim with my bank. I phoned Wells Fargo and informed them, the lady I spoke with let me know that the charges were weekly and hd been going on for 12 weeks! She then suggested I close my debit card while they investigated. I was credited $215.98 which is what I had been billed. This week I receive a letter from Wells Fargo letting me know that the claim was denied, they said it was not fraudulent because my card never left my side and I had purchased from TIKTOK. I called Wells Fargo and was rudely told that they would not change the decision. I'm retired, fixed income and have been with Wells Fargo since it was Wachovia, almost 30 years! I went to my branch yesterday and asked for help, they were exceptional, they tried so hard to help me, they spent 2 hours trying to explain that TIKTOK has been scamming people, it's in the internet, various lawsuits for this scam, but WELLS FARGO wouldnt budge. I felt defeated, I felt like I didnt matter, I felt they were calling me a liar. The lady at the bank even reached out to TIKTOK and asked for help but they refused. The outcome is I went to CHASE and opened a checking, a savings and an IRA account with them, I'm taking all my accounts out of WELLS FARGO and I will put it out there for everyone to know that Wells Fargo does NOT care about their customers.
