Wells Fargo review: Estate Services IRA distribtion

My husband, Charles Dobbins, ###-##-1567, Account #[protected], died on 05/06/2026. I, Priscilla Dobbins, ###-##-3695, am his widow and the sole beneficiary of Charles' IRA at Equitable as an accumulator annuity. I submitted death certificates to both WF and Equitable in August of 2026. Equitable informed me hat it would take about 48 hours to liquidate the account as soon as WF signed off on it. WF emailed, because no one every calls me, the forms necessary for me to fill out. I did this and heard nothing. I called and was told the form was rejected but no reason or offer to help was given. i redid the form, again nothing happened. I did get an email notice that it was rejected...no reason. I called again and talked to a nice young man who explained the problem with the form. I submitted the corrected form with a new death certificate on Oct 1...no response. I called to follow up the third week in October and talked to Henry. He told me the paperwork had been approved and it would take 30 days to liquidate. I again followed up with Equitable who told me they had never received any forms from WF. Today I spoke with another, very helpful, young woman who looked into the matter for me. She said that as of Nov 3 it was not being completed because the death certificate was illegible? She looked at it and could read all of it. She sent a note to the "back office" asking for another review. Over a period of three months I have never spoken to anyone without initiating the call, spoken to multiple different staff members and I have no resolution. I want this RA distributed and I want it NOW!
I am a small client but that shouldn't matter. I intend to take my meager remaining account elsewhere. And BTW, I am a CPA who sees lots people and I intend to share this story at every opportunity.
