I worked at Wells Fargo for over 15 years. What do I have for it - literally nothing. There are no real retirement or employee benefits. You can get better options on your own and elsewhere…
The company has quota to get rid of employees. They lay off disabled people “that can’t go into an office anyway” because they live outside a tight range, even if that is only a few miles and even if that person is long time remote worker and a good performer. It’s a numbers game and they find creative ways to lower costs and rid themselves of older employees.
When they can’t help you with some banking, they bounce group to group, checking the box, yet unable to help fix the root cause. Even when asked to escalate, they can’t find “a person” that can fix it without hours of inquiry. That’s not “getting it done”. The only thing “done” is finding creative ways to slim the workforce and pinch pennies so executives can earn more.
There tag lines of getting things done is a joke and a best place to work is not accurate. They only say they help communities as a marketing ploy. They care? that’s misleading because if “the executiives” cared they would fix some issues. Some employees do care but are given a script to follow. Not everything follows a script and executives should know this. It’s a bad culture of sheepdome where employees must check boxes, say they care, only to know they are passing responsibility off and often not helping at all.
This is a company with upper management that only cares about themselves. Beware. I will no longer give them a good review nor refer to family and friends. Services are ok but there are better banks that do care and can get things done.
Recommendation: Do not give any business to this bank. It goes to paying executive management millions at your expense.
