Webroot Auto-renewal scam

So you sign up for auto-renewal with their promise that you can cancel anytime you want. ‘All you have to do is go to your account page and stop the auto-renew’ they say. So when the time comes that you no longer want their product you jump through all the hoops, you actually find the page to do this and you cancel. But then they auto-renew anyway. And just try to find help for this problem…

Webroot Automatic card charge

I received the renewal notice 1 or 2 days before renewal. I called #[protected]. One of the worst phone experiences I've ever had. I have been dealing with Alex and Sam. i called to cancel my account and was met with nothing but attitude. They tried selling me to renew, but I had made up my mind. I understand trying to sell me, but repeatedly, and I mean repeatedly kept pushing. I was not changing my mind. Both of them continuously interrupted me even when I was answering a question they asked me. Sam asked personal questions that had nothing to do with business, told me I was blabbering, asked if I had mental issues, and did not return calls when they said they would. On the 16th Sam said he would call back within an hour about the refund for $149.99 I didn't get that call so I called back and was informed he went home. He did not tell me he left at 4 Pacific time. I initially said to renew, but changed my mind, my prerogative, I called back and he had submitted the payment already but he made a mistake, a$25000.00 mistake. I called my bank to cancel the transfer, but Sam kept aggressively pushing for me to get the transfer sent. I am not sending $25000.00 of my money to a foreign bank. He even advised me to lLIE to the bank about the transfer information. He even tried to give me a sob story about him having to pay 15%. He wanted me to send the transfer, $25000.00 and he would send a check. I don't know about you, but that wasn't going to happen, $25000.00. I'm sure I left something out. Most unprofessional call I've ever had. I also asked many, many times to speak to the person or persons he answers to, but Sam said he was the billing manager, and there was no one that I could speak to. My phone # is [protected]. I know the calls are recorded, I asked. I do hope you listen to the calls from 8-16 and 8-17. Thank you, I really hope you hear what I'm

saying here The transfer was handled, and I hope you take this email seriously.Thank youi

Webroot Webroot for my internet. I am still being billed $64.34 out of my account for a service I do not have. I want refunded my money.

I at one time used Webroot for my internet security. when I purchased it I was unable to even get it to load on my computer and requested that I no longer wished to use your security. I was assured three years ago I wouldn't be billed any more. This is the second time I have had money deducted from my account for a service I don't have or use.

All year long it will popup that I need to renew after you have deducted the money from my account pf $64.34 on November 21,2022. I feel that I have been very tolerant with trying to stop this. Did I call raising the devil and cussing no, I was hoping it would rectify itself but apparently it can't.

I would appreciate a full refund that I was charged for a service that I have never used.

Desired outcome: Refunded $64.34

Webroot I would like this company to stop emailing me and stop billing me for a service I did not order.

Received an email from this company with an invoice for $389.98 + 10.01 in tax for a total of $399.99 for renewal of Webroot services. I have never ordered these services and did not request or approve of any kind of renewal. When I called their number, the man (Asian, of course, with difficult to understand accent) started arguing with me. I informed him I would be reporting him as a scam.

I did NOT order this service or request a renewal of it. And I am NOT going to pay for it.

I signed up, and paid for Webroot back in March of this year (went through on my credit card), and you have apparently cancelled my coverage, because you are continuously asking me to renew. So, I either want the coverage that I paid for or I want my money refunded. Now.

Webroot Webroot unauthorized charge

I was charged for Webroot software that I canceled two years ago. I continue to be charged on an account that no longer exists (according to the Webroot login), so even if I wanted to cancel it (AGAIN!) I don't have an account to access for (another) cancellation. I didn't get an email, but I noticed the charges on my card. I'm not sure what to do, but I may have to contact my credit card company at this point to stop Webroot from charging my card for an account that doesn't exist.

Desired outcome: Money back and stop charging my card

I received the software disc in the mail recently. Not sure why or what is for. I have WEBROOT subscription already, renewal is in October. I trust there is not charge associated with this snail mailed disc, please confirm. So, I got a response while trying got submit, stating my complaint was no wordy enough, as if to say unless I attract a lot of attention, my complaint does not matter. I'm in the service industry, a Chef by trade and take offense to the idea my problem was not of consequence b/c I made the direct correlation that the complaint board was an active tool. Please forgive my oversight. How's that, enough words to get you attention?
Best,

Webroot Cannot login

I can't logon to my year old account. I last logged on a month ago to renew but it doesn't work anymore. Password reset email request does not work (no email sent), email to support unanswered.

I even created a new account to link to my license key, that doesn't work; I enter my credentials and click logon only to be thrown back to an empty logon screen.

The result is that I can't access my account which has an active subsription.

Webroot Software not working

I have tried on multiple occasions to get someone to respond to my problem. Your software control panel disappeared. I tried reinstalling. Says I am not the system administrator.

I have literally sat for hours waiting for someone to answer your on-line support.

I have multiple "text" only for the operator to tell me they can't help me because I don't have an "account"

Webroot Technical support

Could not locate my password to add another device and transfer service to a new computer. Sent email to reset my password was not answered despite resending emails at least 10 times over a period of three days. Also, no response to the ticket request for support. Telephoned webroot I waited on phone for tech for 50 minutes no one ever got on the line. Called back later in the day, I was told the wait would be over an hour. This is ridiculous. Terrible support. I will probably have to try and cancel and go with a company with better service.

Webroot installing the product, 5 installations

Unfortunately the same situation happened - cat chasing its' tail. Webroot SecureAnywhere box pops up, yellow triangle with explanation point and these words: The keycode could not be verified at this time. Ensure that SecureAnywhere is allowed to connect to the internet and try again.

Umptsquat times, same old answer: Activating...

Tell the box "ok" it disappears, the keycode appears in place of Activating...

In one of the messages it said to give it 15 minutes, doesn't matter, have given it 13 hours.

Why am I locked out with 547 days left, per my other computer...? I have it unplugged and can't access it right now.

I have been at this since 0537 CDT this morning, and it is getting old, again...

Any competent, as I am too incompetent, help would be appreciated...

Your subscription has expire... read what you sent me 2021 expiration year...

Thanx

PS
I've got enough of the book pages whatever you've sent, thoughts are more important, my cell phone has just got this program installed on it 10 minutes ago, keycode also, no problem there. Problem: between my computer and your activation of the keycode, my thought.

Webroot webroot secure anywhere internet security

This company is a joke, I recieved software with my computer purchase at best buy, it was left in box by mistake noticed it and tried to install a year later, mind you it has never been activated and the package clearly states term starts at activation. When I attempted to put in activation key provided with the package it would not allow me to complete, I contacted the joke of a customer service and they sent an email stating I would need a new activation key. I had to send three emails to get a clear answer which resulted in them tellng me I would have to repurchase an activation key even thought they didn nto honor the orignal activation key that is suppose to be for three devices. this is faud and I want everyone to know this company is not reputable stay awayf from them at all cost. there shoucl be a class action suit cominig soon for false advertisement, and not fulfilling their stated terms on their packageing.

I was going to purchase this digital software, until I kept seeing the amount changing before I entered it. I was shocked to receive it in the mail. I didn't think I even pushed send. I misplaced it around the house for a few days, or I would have contacted you sooner. I just decided to get a free anti virus, so I want to return it. It has been unopened, so I should be able to just return it in the mail. Please credit my card with the return. Thank you. I'm just going to take it down to the post office now.

Ciao, Ron Creighton

Webroot unavailability of all customer service numbers-I need to ask a question about service and billing

I auto paid $63.50 on june 18, 2018 forWebroot Secure Anywhere Internet Security Complete.
(SSFCSBWOAADIZBSKJYHH)

I now have a notice that in September, I am going to be billed an unnamed amount for Webroot Secure Anywhere Internet Security plus (SA38ONLN4EC9AF4934BD).
What is the difference between these two products. Are they overlapping coverages and one would have been enough? Am I receiving one bill too many?
I need information and would like to be able to call a "good" telephone number.
Thank you,

Webroot antivirus spyware

One month ago, scam artists penetrated my computer, identified themselves as Microsoft agents and asked for money to protect my Microsoft.

They got personal information from me. You advertised to "block fake websites that trick you into entering personal information."

I refused to pay them. They destroyed my hardware. I had Windows 7. Best Buy could only install Windows 10.

Your Secure Anywhere Antivirus failed to provide Webcam Protection.

I request you restore Windows 7 to my computer or buy me a new laptop.

When due for Annual Renewal, Webroot agent talked me into pre-paying for 3 years $159.00 on 12/8/2020. Six months later, had to replace my dying computer, but my programs on the new system kept crashing, so my computer tech said it was a Webroot problem and he removed it on 7/6/2021...everything then worked okay. Unable to reach Webroot by phone, on 7/7/2021 I emailed through their website requesting a prorated refund for 2-1/2 years unused portion (about $130). Webroot refused refund, saying it was beyond 70 days of purchase...they offered to extend my subscription or reinstall their Webroot Secure Anywhere - my computer tech advised me against this because it would interfere with my other computer programs. I just want a refund for the unused 30 months. I filed a complaint with BBB but Webroot still refused refund. So I lost about $130 for unused Webroot service.
