I can't contact this company to stop this and the only reason I figured this out is because it made my account balance over limit. I am careful usually and I don't even use this card anymore because the interest is ridiculous. Has anyone out there figured out how to contact them and set them straight?

What kind of products have people out there ordered before they discovered that this company started showing up on their credit card statement? I know myself I ordered Lens Dr the liquid eyeglass repair stuff that you fix horrible scratches so you don't have to buy another pair of glasses. Since figuring this out I have probably spent that much because I didn't notice these charges until now. They are charging me 16.95 and have been since Feb. at least. I am so mad it is ruining my mother's day with my mom. She is sitting in the other room while I try and figure out how I can fix this problem but because it being Sunday no one is answering any phones even my credit card company. So I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to flip out all over again.

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU

If you order something just order that product when they ask you if you want this and that say no. No special speedy delivery or anything besides the product at least that is how I think I got this charge on my account. Who knows I will never order anything online again.

Which stinks because I don't drive and this comes in handy occasionally.

Thanks for listening,
Kim

I just got this value thing in the mail yesterday and I left it on the table. My husband picked it up and asked about it, so I put the address in the computer and came to this. I called [protected] and got it cancelled before I was ever charged thanks to my nosy husband. I am so glad I came across this board first.

Sorry to all who didn't catch this in time

Kim

I just called [protected] today for the 2nd time to cancel but th Plus and the Explore USA. I asked for a list of vendors who supply the information to this company and was told that there were too many to list. They did cancel my account the first time but I had to call the second time to get my money refunded. Right on - what a scam!

I ordered Natural Cures They Don't Want You TO Know About and I also signed up for Valuplus and I too was to get a 25 gift card the website did not exist so I called the number and they were giving me the run around. Saying I would have to send in forms to receive it this went on for about a month so I cancelled it today and I can only hope that they don't charge my debit card. I am glad that I came upon this site because I would have never known how they con people. The best thing to do is cancel and hope they didn't take full advantage of you. They also rent your name out and you have to request a form stating that you don't want your name on the mailing list. The number I used to cancel is [protected] I really hope this Helps.

I filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania attorney generals office/Bureau of consumer protection. I did this online and they took care of everything. ordered this wc value company to stop charging my card and i got 2 months charges returned to me. I called wc value but they didn't stop. It doesn't work like that. So try the attorney general office and see if they will help you.

My credit was charged $16.95 for dining and entertainment. They were very RUDE and ARROGANT. I talked to a supervisor, Loretta, and she was just as ignorant as the first person I talked to.She said that she would correct my account and I should have a credit within 3 days... I told her I would be watching for it...

You people that think you are "getting scammed" must be f*ckin ###s. Value plus and explore usa has worked out incredibly well for me. Not only that but I got a $25 gas card and a $25 walmart card just for looking at the programs. Yeah i paid a $1 processing fee for each program but I've also saved over $4000 this year on electronics, dvd's, home depot purchases, and even my last vacation. (We went to Maui) They also gave me $300 in traveler's cheques when I had to go to Massachussetts for a Red Sox game. May I make a suggestion? Pay attention to what the telesales people are saying when you're saying "yes" to them. And if you follow instructions, you could end up saving a lot of cash like me...

Lol Katie. You're so ignorant. First off you don't find out about it until months later. Also for 2 you said yourself you purchase things online. Maybe you should pay attention to the little boxes on the ordering form (by checking this box you agree to blah blah blah) Call your attorney. In the end they will have record of that. I'm sorry but i doubt they can pick a credit card number and a name with an address out of thin air. Have fun.

Wow! I just looked at my credit card for the past 4 months and each month I have been charged for $16.95 to "Value Plus". I never noticed because I assumed it was something my husband or I purchased online and was billed under value plus. Until this month when we stopped using that card and it was the only charge. So I googled their name to find out what it was and I came across nothing but bad press and hundreds of people who have been scammed! The scam toll by the way is about 25 million in profits for Damark (the parent company). I don't know how these people are not in jail for illegally charging people money and I'm sure causing many financial distress. I do know however that if we all warn everyone we know that we can slow them down! I am sending out an email to everyone I know and I urge you to do the same. Lets stop these thieves! P.S. my "refund form" is "in the mail". Ha, ha.. I have to go call my attorney.

I have been charged $14.95 and 16.95 each month for over 6 months without knowing what services they have rendered.
I have inquired about this from my bank and also checked through the internet only to discover that this is a big scam.

Taking people's money for nothing, giving my information over the phone to a sweet talking salesperson promising discounts was a big mistake.

Well this may help those of you who have been scammed by valueplus. I just called the number listed at the top of this page and spoke to a representative who told me the same mess I had been given before. I asked to speak to a supervisor and told her my situation. She found my account under an old address and told me that she canceled it also. I told her that I had done all that I could to cancel the account and was told that it was done but still was having my account charged so I wanted all of my money back. Though she said she did not have the authority to refund it right then she would send me a form to fill out requesting the refund. We will see how well this turns out.

I signed up for a discount travel club and was also given a "free" trial in the valueplus service. I canceled the account when I found my wife was not interested. The next month they took 19.95 out of my account. I did not notice it then but about a month later while looking at my statement I realized that they still were taking the money. I called to make tell them I was not interested and was told that they showed that I had two canceled items and that they showed t hat they had only taken $1.00 out each time. My bank record shows where they have take $19.95 five times. When I called back they said that I had to fax them a copy of my statement showing the charges to get it stopped.

I bought cooking (smart ware) pans and was told I would receive a 25.00 gift card from Wal-mart. My letter and phone call to Value plus said go to this sight and claim your 25.00 gift card today.

I do not see any place to register and all the information is about a scam. They have my debit card number so In my mind, I'm set up to be ripped off.

I too was charged. I was charged $14.95 from Oct 2006-Jan 2007. I tried calling the 800 number for several days. No one would talk to me and when I asked for a supervisor and such I was told "I can't let you do that." I had even asked how they got my debit card number and was told "I can't tell you that." I wrote the BBB and got a response saying I had authorized the charges and was sent membership information. I was not contacted, nor did I receive anything. The response to the BBB from these people said that my money would be refunded, but the damage is done. I had to cancel my debit card and get a new bank account number. It's horrible that nothing can be done about these people.

I feel this a bunch of crap. i purchased something on the net and was offered the $25 gift card and when i went www.valueplusonline.com/gcforms there wasn't any forms. What 7 i don't understand is why would someone enjoy waste anyones time to offer something that they knew damn well they couldn't deliver on. I hope they don't try to use my card for anything because if i see a charge i know i didn't do ,there will be big problems for the company that gave me the ridiculous web offer.

I was taken as well from Janm - July 2006. I had to fight with my bank in Virginia to get the money back. They do not see it as a fraud but a wanted to treat it as a banking error. I did three separate claims to get the bank to understand my problem, but they were no help. I went after the company myself and got my money back. I want to follow up with you all and see how and what we should do about this.

Your success in getting the money back and the problems you are still having.

We also were taken by this company! ITs a scam! My boyfriend ordered something off of TV and then these charges appeared on our credit card bill. 2 charges for the amount of $16.95 each. They couldn't explain what exactly the value plus or the explore USA membership was even for. we never got anything for it either! i called the number on the credit card [protected] and asked them to removed it. In which they said it was however, we will have to wait another month to make sure it was actually removed! The one charge said DAMARK by the phone number. If you have ordered anything on tv CHECK your statement or bank account for charges and call ASAP to have them removed...

Thanks, Vicky

This is steve who made the post earlier. I just called the 800 number and talked to a guy name chris. He said i wasn't in the database, and asked to look it up using my credit card number. I said your going to tell me i am not in the database so i would like to talk to a supervisor. He said the supervisor won't talk to me unless they have my account up. I said i know you have my account number because you just charged me. He said i understand your frustrations and i am going to have to let you go. I asked for the company's address and this is what i got out of him.

Chris 54083 is who i talked to that is his name and employee number. Just keeping track of who we talked to.

I received my Visa bill today. A charge of $19.95 that I did not recognize the company. I called they said their computers were down call back in 1/2 an hour. I called back they said computers down call back in an hour. I called back then they said call back in 2 hours computers still down. I called back and started to tell the male operator that I was going to turn them into our Attorney General and he said he can't answer any questions and he hung up. None of these operators would tell me what their business was and what could have possibly been charged. I have called my credit card not to authorize any more of these charges but as of right now I don't know if that will be enough.

I just jumped on tonight to check my bank balance because i knew what it was suppose to be and of course i had bank fees and a negative balance by the company everyone seems to know. About 2 months ago they called me and asked me to get a discount on some magazines, and would be entered into another drawing into the additional publishers clearing house drawing. So i listened to what he had to say and after saying yes to this automated machine a bunch of times i asked for the number to cancel in case i wanted to, and he read it off so fast i had to asked multiple times to get it all. Guess what number he gave me [protected]. SHOCKER! I called this number a week after the phone call which i felt weird about after talking to the guy. They said i don't know where you got this number and you arent in any of our databases. They asked for all my information to "try and look it up another way" DON'T DO IT THEY ARE JUST ADDING INFO TO THE DATABASE! After i finally got another number they told me they had cancelled my order for these discount magazines. WHY 2 months later i get charged 14.95? Well obviously I've been looking for answers and i found myself here and wow another surprise other people have similar problems with the same exact company just selling different products every time. I am also very upset and would be willing to join anyone who is wanting to sue them for our money back. If you are reading this you probably already gave them your information and are sitting there with empty bank accounts. Well, best of luck to everyone and tell everyone you know not to trust anyone on the phone asking for your information. I was stupid and fell for their stupid sales pitch.

Please send me a e-mail if any lawyers read this in regards to sueing this business for what they owe.

I work for a Flagstar Bank in Michigan, and a customer came in, who's account was already in the negative. Sadly she was randomly charged a LOW amount into her account, which then she was charged by flagstar for going into her bounce protection. Of course our fee will be refunded, but we can't do anything until this company refunds it themselves. They asked for her name and address, then asked me to give her phone number, routing/acct number, and/or credit card number, which I declined immediately *plz nobody give your EXTREME personal info like that to them*. I've been dealing with these kinds of people for a while, be firm, aggressive, and don't give in.

I was going to call the 800 number but instead this morning I sent a certified letter to the PO box and sent everything back after I made a copy. I told them to cancel the membership immediately and not to charge my card. I also filed a dispute with the 11.00 charges they put on my card without my consent. I also cancelled that card and had my the credit card people issue a new number. that only took a little under a week. I'll be damned if I'll let these people get away with this nonsense.

Hello i am the latest victim of this scam from ValuePlus. I got a letter from Valueplus in the mail last month saying i was promised a free $25 gas card and i didn't think much of it until now. I checked my bank account balance today and i was charged for $14.95. I called the customer number and canceled my membership. I was told i would receive a cancellation email and they would refund my account, we will see. PS If you get a letter in the mail from Valueplus, open it immediately and cancel them before you get charged. Don't be scammed from this company.

The nerve of anybody sending you a letter saying that you have a Gift Card and when you go to the web site all you see is complaints. After I received this letter and went to the web site I called the [protected] number to cancel this bull. According to the letter I would have been charged $16.95 on 2/2/07 and charged every 30 days thereafter. I shouldn't be charged anything now that I called in time. The representative told me that a cancellation letter will be sent to my E-mail addy. I'm posting this reply because I am disappointed with the lies that were told to me. I really did want my Gift Card, but it's not worth the hassle. Thank God I open this crap up in good time. I HOPE OTHERS READ THIS AND RESPOND TO ME.

THANKS: Brenda < 1/16/07>

I went in to check my available balance with my bank and there was a charge of 14.95 dated 1/12/07 it didn't match any receipts that I have (I keep all of them for 7 years.) I called my bank and they said it was a company called WC Value Plus and gave me a [protected] number to call. I did today 1/13/07 at 2:39PM EST and they automated attendant said to call back M-F from 8=11 EST. I will until I get some satisfaction. Who the heck are they? What is the 14.95 for and how did they get my information? They WILL refund my money or I will hunt them down and sue them (or with my mental instability kill them...)

And isn't it funny that they just so happen to send the membership information in a rather plain looking envelope? Almost like the marketing department wants it to appear like just another one of the masses of postal garbage and perhaps not even opened on arrival, instead being taken straight to the shredder! I can't believe that I fell for some cockamammie (? spelling - I've never actually used that word in a written format before :)) scheme like this. I am soooo ashamed of myself. I think that we should start a club against this kind of stuff. I mean, I am fairly certain that I am going to wind up with some emotional scars from this experience and as a group we can rise up and make some positive changes, changing laws, protecting innocents from similar fates!
(Wow, I must be getting delirious - maybe I should just call it quits for today and rethink my options in the morning?) Take care, Joe

I tried to cancel my credit card and they wont let me saying that this place will be able to get my new card number they have charged $19.95 four times and I can not get them to stop! I have called them and complained and they said they will refund me and then they charge me again the next month how do I get them to STOP!
