I had a package scheduled for delivery in the afternoon that required a signature. I noticed an option to change the delivery so that they would leave it at the door instead of requiring a signature. Fine, sounds good to me. HOWEVER, do they tell you that this will now take 24 hours to process? Do they tell you that it will delay your package if you just want them to drop it at the door instead of knocking on the door for a signature? NOPE! But don't you worry, once you make the simple request that requires literally no changes in delivery routing whatsoever, they drop it on you that your package is now going to be delayed at least 24 BUSINESS hours. Oh, and if you want to cancel the request - NOPE! UPS has NO ABILITY TO MESSAGE A DRIVER DIRECTLY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ON THE PLANET DOES. You're simply stuck. Once you've entered their antiquated system queue, your package must sit in limbo until these buffoons are able to push the right buttons and pull the right levers in the correct sequence that tells them that you don't need to knock on a door, but instead can simply set the package down on the doorstep. UPS is so far behind the times that I'm surprised they're still in business. I will literally send a package that takes longer and is more expensive from now on just to avoid UPS. Anything to avoid using this dumpster fire of a company.
Recommendation: AVOID UPS AT ALL COSTS! THEY DON'T HAVE THEIR CRAP TOGETHER!
