This seems to be a typical free trial scam business that sold me a product as a free trial for which I only authorized to pay a shipping cost of $4.95, or what it seemed to me at the time of purchase. However, the full conditions of the offer, that were outlined in the Terms and Conditions link that was hidden at the very bottom of the page in a small print, were such that I as a customer got automatically enrolled into a subscription program once I pushed the payment button. Such subscription came with a trial period that I had to cancel within 14 days, or I would get charged a full price of the product which I was going to receive and pay for every month until I cancel the subscription. The cost is, of course, ridiculously overpriced. I got an email order confirmation immediately via an email that stated a price of $4.95 and nothing else. There was, however, an additional small charge of $1.63 on my credit card for which I never was provided any receipt. It took about the same time to receive the product as the trial period itself, 12 days shipment out of 14 days trial that began when the order was placed, on Nov 16, 2015. I only got alerted when I noticed the additional $1.63 charge on my credit card at which point I contacted the company. That conversation via email happened on the last day of the "trial", Nov 29 . The next day I was charged the full amount of the product, $99.95, which the company agreed to refund in full given I ship the product back at my expense and taken in consideration that I was lucky enough to question the company just a few hours before the trial expired, which was considered as the cancellation of the subscription. The Terms and Conditions of the deal have NOT been clearly indicated on the order web page, nor clearly communicated to me by any other means; nor was I engaged in any affirmative conduct acknowledging the Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions link was not placed near the final Submit button, neither immediately above nor below of the button, nor in any clear view on the web page. As such, I consider the whole ordeal as the intentional deception and scam. The products are advertised via many many different web sites such as http://www.supplementq.com/. The company's website itself does not offer any products. It just states the company contact info and the Terms and conditions: http://trubelleza.com/ The transaction info on the back statement comes as a UK company: Country Code: GB - United Kingdom Merchant : OUTBOUND TELEMARKETING MERCHANTS Merchant Information: 18885891342CLEANSKIN LONDON 000 WC2N4JF Transaction Date: 11/16/2015

I am not a lawyer so i am unable to state for certain that this is fraud in the legal sense, but as far as consumerism is concerned, it certainly is. The return policy is absurd given that this company does not respond to either email or answer their phones. The contact info provided on the web site gives a phone number that is not attended and has a full voicemail box. Emails sent and confirmed received go unacknowledged. I guess that if you job was dealing with hundreds of people every day that felt they had been cheated by the company you worked for, you wouldn't answer your phone either. There is simply no excuse for ignoring emails for weeks though. I spent 2 weeks attempting to contact this rip off company and was only able to reach them through my credit card company. naturally they would have correct contact info or they wouldn't get paid. Bottom line is that this marketer, and I use that descriptor intentionally, is using questionable and unethical tactics to get you hooked and then defraud you of as much as they can get away with. They make it nearly impossible to contact them to cancel so you can not possibly fulfill your legal obligation to do so. Avoid them at all cost and as far as the celeb hawking this product, I advise you to consider that they might be valuing the pay cheque over the well being of their fans. Big Suprise there!

I should have know better. I too have been scammed by Tru Belliza. I sent them an e-mail a week after receiving this cream and just got charged on my credit card for $134.00 and $120.61. I'm just fuming and will make sure this company is know on Facebook, Twitter, and every website I can. Plus I will contact the BBB in Canada to do a background check on their dishonest claims.

I also ordered the 4.96 and agreed to try another product for a couple dollars extra and they ask you for an upsell at a discounted rate when you are checking out. After declining a few days later I got an email that they were shipping my product out and they a few days later a charge on my credit card for $135 CAD.

After going back on another on of their sites I did find Terms and conditions stating our FREE trial begins from the moment you order! Making it impossible for you to try a product and get it in time to cancel if its not for you.

Total waste of my $10 even, don't buy! When you call their numbers nobody answers and goes to personal voice mails. I have three numbers and none work.

Don't BUY!

The website is very ambiguous, they represent their products and services in a misleading way. They provide "trial product", however, they are hiding the terms and conditions of the offers in teensy type, using pre-checked sign-up boxes as the default setting online, and putting conditions on returns and cancellations that are so strict it could be next to impossible to stop the deliveries and the billing. Can not leave msg in the phone no they provide online. Please file your complaint to the Ministry of Government and Consumer Service. Don't let them to take advantage of our innocent Canadian consumers. Also, they are US company, file a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission, the company is doing dishonest business practice, misrepresenting their products and services, not provide clear information to consumers make purchase decisions.

Thank for the heads up, all of you.
I now have a personal policy to look online for complaints about any product or service in which I get interested.
You have confirmed my cynicism about "too good to be true" offers.
I hope all of you who were scammed take time to investigate offers before shelling out info or money.
Good luck to all of us.

I too was sucked into this scam. I agree with one of the other posts that the famous people they claim are using their product should be informed. They claim that Meryl Streep looks so great because she uses their product. I feel like such a fool for falling for it. It's an expensive lesson, and I won't be scammed in this way again, but meanwhile I also wish that they could be shut down for all the people they have ripped off. Too bad, because I actually rather like the product, and my skin does feel great... though I think I still have wrinkles after 2.5 weeks of using it. Oh well, guess I'll have to go back to aging gracefully after I use the rest of the stuff. I guess there's some comfort in knowing I'm not alone...

Ordered as a trial and before deadline to cancel, my credit card was charged $272.23 for trial products with no heads up.

What a scam. Just got caught myself. I signed up for the trial offer, only to find that my credit card had been charged the full amount for the products before my "trial" even arrived. Terrible false advertising. Amazing how they charge the full cost of the product exactly 14-16 days after the trial is ordered, when the trial actually takes 7-10 days to arrive. Another scam. I'm very disappointed with this. What a joke.

I cancelled my order 2 days after I placed my order. That same day I receive the eye cream but not the moisturizer. I reported my credit card stolen, and the bank said they would put a block on the card, so that no one would be able to process a payment toward the card. I don't want to return the product as that is an added expense to me for shipping. The company is in the US and I'm in Canada, don't think they will take any legal action towards me for not returning their product. What do you think? Funny thing about this, was that the agent I spoke to said they would accept a payment for $30.00 for each if I cancelled and kept the product. I informed her I still wanted to send the product back. She then said she would reduce the amount to $19.99 each. I still informed her that I wanted to send it back. She did send me a confirmation letter stating my order was cancelled and no future payment will be withdrawn from my credit card. Just want to screw them over and not send anything back seeing as they would not be able to take any more money from my credit card

I ordered both products online through a promotion for 14.99 plus shipping of 4.99. Two weeks after it arrived a second order arrived on auto renewal foot 300cdn. I called the company and they said I missed the cut off date to cancel and since the second order had shipped I would be charged for that as well. $600.00 Canadian later they finally cancelled the auto reorder. It is a total scam, there a million other products cheaper that will do the same thing.
Always amazed that there is no consumer protection for online purchases.

Oh no! I have just ordered these "free" samples. It isn't like me to do this, I just did on a whim... I have just spoken to a representative at my bank and cancelled my credit card because of this. Of course I have been charged for the sample so I will be out a few dollars but I hope that is all. It is a lesson learned that is for sure...Now I just wait to see if I'm going to get this famous cream!

I agree with all above complaints about the scamming practices of Tru Belleza. I also signed up for a FREE TRIAL of two of their products. The only charge I would incur was for $4.95 shipping and handling. A month later I noticed charges on my Visa account for an additonal $99.95 USD and $89.95 USD. These purchases were not ordered by me, nor was this company aurthorized to put these charges through. To me, this is THEFT! Pure and simple. I have heard of Internet "rip offs", so I read the conditions carefully, to insure that I was only being charged $4.95. I see that many others were also sucked in by this disreputable company. I'm absolutely astonished that companies are allowed to get away with this kind of behaviour. Where is a law protecting consumers from these scam artists? Can't something be done to run this kind of company out of business? I didn't realize that I needed to hire a lawyer to read over a trial offer from a consmetic company, to avoid being ripped off. What is this world coming to?

This same company NATURALSKIN Tru Belleza scammed me in November. 2015 in the same way described; however, they went one step further. After I contacted my MasterCard contesting the charges of $89.95 and $99.95 that they fraudulently placed on that card when they were not ordered, they told MasterCard I had ordered the products and sent them a fake order form which was not filled in showing how clearly it was showing their contract of continuing to send these products. The order form I had filled out online to order the "free" samples was completely different and had no such mention of a continuing contract. MasterCard bought their version and are trying to make me pay these charges! I don't know what else I can do?

What can I say? I got caught too. Didn't realize that the "trial" period is a scam to get you buying the product w/o permission. AND the trial starts the day you order it. What kind of trial is that? Very disappointed in a company that has so little faith in their product that they have to trick you into purchasing it. Disgusting practice.

My Mother was caught by the same scam. She's 84 and doesn't realize there can be such devious people advertising on the internet. It made me so angry! Anyway, just to tell you all that you can complain to the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the Federal Trade Commission (www.consumer.ftc.gov) about Tru Belleza. If these organizations get enough complaints like this they might take legal action.

I have been scammed also with this company. I found this website http://trubelleza.com/contact-us and there is a button for "quick cancel" at the top right corner, I am hoping this does indeed cancel my subscription.

I'm curious about the person who advised Tru Belleza she would contact her bank, and they gave her all her money back. Why did that worry them enough to return your money?

I agree with all the above comments on Tru Belleza.
This is a scam company.
I requested only the one trial for $57 CDN which is fine but I had a bad reaction to this product.
Next thing I know I receive in my mailbox another order without my request. I have not opened the box. I emailed them twice that I want to return the product and wish a full credit. They had billed on my Credit card another $56 before they even shipped it. No response to my email
Can anyone suggest what we can do to get this company shut down. This is a pathetic company and I clearly see they have defrauded many.
Was this product mentioned on DR. OZ show as being effective?
Appreciated advices

I plan to contact the Greenville South Carolina police dept to determine if Tru Belleza even exists at this address. I will ask police to speak to them about their scam of creating a subscription and auto renewal, then emailing an order confirmation for only $4.95 and no mention of a trial period, a subscription or an auto renewal on ones credit card. I was unaware of any of this til I saw my Visa statement at the end if the month, long past the unknown deadline of 14 days! Billed for $278 CND!
I have not seen one advertisement for this product since this debacle. I would like to contact the famous people pictured as users of this product. Are they aware their names and photos are being used as endorsements?
If anyone sees advertising for this product, under any of its many guises, please contact me here. I think together we could alert these actors and actresses, etc. and they could get to the bottom of this scam. Regular folk like me need more clout and more money to deal with these global tricksters/scammers. What do you think? I'm so furious about this and I'd like to shut them down permanently.

I cannot believe people would ill treat and be so greedy for their own comfort! My credit card got deducted before I received the trial product for my friend thinking the 14days started when I receive that and because they arrived separately wasn't sure when it started. I called to the overseas number and kept getting their voicemail. Thinking they will be so professional with their product and great offers they WILL get back to their customers. APPARENTLY NOT! I am pissed off because I was told this product and from America was good and helping out my friend haven't heard from them since they headed what's going on. So when I finally got a callback, TWO MONTHS LATER?! Saying I owe a ridiculously huge amount for my purchase? Did they not get my messages? After reading most of the comments before me I will do the same, the price of beauty... Not worth it and will never buy/get anything like this!

Same thing happened to me. I ordered Nov 18th and received the serum and anti-wrinkle cream early December. Received my credit card statement 3 days ago and was charged a total of $272.31. Have phoned their 888 number numerous times and e-mailed also numerous times and this before the end of the 30 day. No answer. I had to pay the 272.31 in order to cancel the mastercard. Hard lesson learned. Today, I received another box but will return it. This Tru Belleza is a scam!

Exactly what happened to me, however I was not so lucky...I didn't discover the additional nearly $260.00 Canadian until after the 14 days they said I had agreed to. I checked carefully before ordering the 2 "SAMPLES" for any catch but it was carefully hidden! As well the charges were not FROM Tru Belleza, but DCA NATURALHEALTHIER SKIN AND ANOTHER CALLED CLEARSKIN, I didn't recognize immediately what happened. I didn't even have a chance to try the product before being charged an additional $99 and $89 U.S. I emailed all the companies immediately to cancel and called the 24/7/365 number they provided three times and left messages, but never received a return call. I contacted my master card account and they said there was nothing they could do, but would put in a complaint. This company has to be stopped! They are preying on seniors like myself who can ill afford it...This should be a police matter
Obviously the product is a scam or they would not have to swindle people to buy it.
