I went to the Burlington, NC location yesterday. I used the app and ordered 2 smoothies and 1 Açaí bowl. First, I was not greeted and there were 3 employees up front. No one asked to help me or why I was just standing around. These girls were talking SOOOO obnoxiously loud to one another and they were within a few feet of each other. The volume got to the point that one customer was on a call and actually walked outside to take the rest of his call.
Then, I get my food and I come home. The smoothies were great. The açaí bowl is where I am dissatisfied. I ordered the açaí bowl and specified “no coconut” by unchecking the box. I saved the bowl for breakfast this morning and when I opened it up, there was coconut ALL over it but guess what else? It contained ZERO granola. So, I had chia seeds and coconut with all my fruit and honey. This is literally my favorite item from TSC and I threw it away. I am allergic to coconut so the coconut was a BIG DEAL. So, that is money down the drain.
I have been a regular customer with either deliveries or app orders for years. And, the past 6 months or so, items have been left out of my delivery orders. I was given an incorrect smoothie one time. And, now the lousy service in addition to ruining the açaí bowl make me really question whether I will continue as a customer there.
Recommendation: Dissect your food items before you leave if you are taking your food to-go. That sound dramatic but don't make the same mistake that I did and merely check to make sure all purchased items are accounted for.
