I purchased a round-trip flight ticket for three passengers from Ankara to Ercan via Trip.com. The flight date was January 6. Due to a change in my daughter’s exam schedule, I requested the cancellation of only my daughter’s ticket approximately one week before departure.
Trip.com refused to process any refund, claiming that this was due to the airline’s policy. However, after contacting AJet directly, I was clearly informed that the ticket is refundable and that the cancellation authority lies entirely with the agency that issued the ticket — namely, Trip.com.
Despite this confirmation from the airline, Trip.com refused to take action. I paid 2,540 TRY for my daughter’s ticket and I am requesting the refund of this amount. I also attempted to get support through the Trip.com app today, but I received no help at all.
I have been using Trip.com for nearly two months and have traveled to two different countries during this time. This experience clearly shows a lack of transparency, accountability, and customer support. Choosing Trip.com has proven to be a serious mistake.
I demand that my grievance be resolved and that the amount paid for my daughter’s ticket be refunded at the maximum possible rate without further delay.
Recommendation: The trip was a mistake
