TracFone Wireless review: Horrible customer service

I was a satisfied Tracfone customer for many years. However, earlier this year Tracfone deactivated my service without any prior notice. After several hours with Tracfone support I was able to restore the service for a few weeks before it was unexpectedly deactivated again. Even after numerous phone calls and chat sessions with Tracfone support I was unable to restore service.
Since Tracfone was unable to provide phone service to me I transferred my phone service to a different provider. Tracfone is now refusing to refund me for the unused service that I had previously purchased.
I strongly encourage everyone to avoid Tracfone. There are several alternative providers for low-cost mobile phone service.
