I was shopping the store located at 719 Thompson Lane (100 Oaks) in Nashville, TN on Friday, August 28. I found shorts that did not have a tag on them. I asked a manager (Miriam) who was walking through store if she could get a price for me. She walked the ailse where shorts clearance were located, grabbed some shorts and told me to take both up front and tell them Miriam said to charge me the same price. The store was and is always very busy so I continued to do more shopping and stood in line to purchase my items.

I finally made it to a cashier and explained what Miriam had told me, She looked at my like I had stole somethig and said she couldn't sell shorts to me. I asked for Miriam and Nicole arrived advising that Miriam had left for the day. She, too, said that she couldn't sell the shorts to me and if she did use the price on the other pair of shorts, I could not return. I had stood in line and I wasn't about to go back to a fitting room,

Number one - I never use th fitting rooms - if it does't fit, I return it. Number two - I have shopped your stores since I lived in Atlanta in 1979 and I have never been told I could not return something if it didn't fit. Note: the shorts that Miriam gave me were red tag. I know if it has a yellow tag, I only have 30 days.

Nicole was nice but I was not happy and I guess she decided it was worth $16 to make me feel like I had done something wrong. You can use your cameras to follow me all over that store. I picked up the shorts, looked for a tag, decided I wanted them and put them in my buggy. Nicole lied and gave me lame excuses. I know that if there is not a tag on an item, an associate looks for a similiar item and the cashier make a tag and attaches it to the item.

I would appreciate the name and store number of the District Manager for this store.

Desired outcome: To be able to be able to return a $16.00 pair of shorts, if I desire, within 30 days of purchase and an apology from Nicole.
