Yesterday, May 14th, I ordered take out dinners for my Wife and I, and it was a disaster.
Order # [protected]
A 6oz fillet, and a half slab of ribs for my Wife.
My fillet was supposed to be, as ordered, RARE….. It came medium, and so tough that most of it could not be swallowed. Upon chewing, it would turn into a ball of wet string. Seriously, I strongly doubt that this is “prime” meat. I would guess that it was Grocery store, “Sellect”. The Caesar salad was excellent. My Wife’s baked potato was not cooked long enough. She could not finish it.
Gentlemen, this is our second try with Texas Roadhouse. On Feb 4th of this year we had a similar experience. Order # [protected]. My hand cut sirloin was so tough to chew that I decided yesterday to order a Fillet, Rare, thinking it would be tender as a fillet should be.
There’s an old saying: Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
I’m not looking for a free dinner, allthough I would consider a refund on the Fillet and the baked Potato on yesterdays meal…..I won’t be taking another chance on your steaks. I strongly recommend checking your chefs qualifications at this Cookeville Tn. restaurant. A Pro Chef would not deliver a fillet in this condition.
Fool me twice?
Desired outcome: Reimbursement would be in order.
