Texas Roadhouse You had a steak you couldn't even eat and they give you ten percent off

My husband and I went to the Texas Roadhouse in Newnan about 2 weeks ago.I think it was a New York strip he ordered. I got a ribeye and it was very good, but his was burnt on the edges and scorced. He couldn’t even eat it. I even tasted it and it was awful. The manager came to the table and offered to bring him another steak but we didn’t have time. After that taste, you don’t want another one. Well, the manager said he would adjust the bill.We thought maybe it would be at least half off. When we got the bill it was only 10% off. That was a joke. You had a steak you couldn’t even eat and they give you ten percent off. Needless to say we won’t be going back there.

Had he rejected the entire plate you might have gotten more compensation. You can contact corporate but you're likely to receive useless coupons comping or substantially discounting a meal, useless because you swear you won't be returning.

Why should you get half off the entire bill when the steak was not worth half the bill?

They offered you a new steak and you refused. Whether you were in a hurry or not isn't really an issue, because they did try to make it right, and you chose not to accept.

Texas Roadhouse Bad management

After filing a complaint Rex the area supervisor has issued threats, accusations and has made it very clear there could be retaliation for someone saying anything. Considering he is the one who got Russ the job as the new store manager. And his reputation would be put in jeopardy. Just as my complaints stated the managers believe in getting even. And seek revenge for those who say or do anything. This store is in desperate need of managers with real manager skills. And truly know what it means to run a productive and profitable store. Without running off the regular clientele or making staff leave for better managed stores.

Texas Roadhouse Bad management

The new store manager from TGI Fridays has only been a manager for texasroadhouse for 3 months. He has not manager skills.He is out of the restaurant as much as he possible can. The new kitchen manager got his job through area supervisor and has not manager skills to run a kitchen. He does not know how to order the proper amount of food products, so they run out of steaks, baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, fries, etc, on a daily basis. He also likes to yell and belittle staff members so that customers can hear what is being said and to whom it is being said to.He has made comments where customers can hear, saying that customer service isn't everything.And that appearance and perfection is also not important just get the food out now. There is another manager by the name of Chris and all he does is sit at the bar top. To flirt and talk with the very young waitresses instead of serving the customers. The store is in a state of disarray.Members are criticized and shifts are taken away for nothing more than revenge and getting them back for whatever the reasons Chad decides to make up.And he is never been punished for such behavior. Due to whom he knows within the company. That is so very wrong.

Texas Roadhouse Ridiculous service

DO NOT waste your time at Texas Roadhouse. It is over crowded and their service is ridiculous. We did call ahead seating 90 minutes Prior to going and then stood in the lobby for another hour. After an hour had passes they still could not give us an approximate time frame for when they could sit our party. All the girls working the front desk seem like complete idiots. I will never step foot in Texas Roadhouse again.

I have been going yo your resturant for about six months every Friday night, We ordered 2 drinks from the bar and when they come out they were wrong..We ordered the 24 ounce steak and it was wrong. We got one of the mangers that was working that night and we told him what had happened and he said the waitress was new . We told him we would not be back and he said that he was sorry we felt that way. He would not do anything about the problem we had. I do not thank that was the right way to handle it. Texas Roadhouse Food quality-

My husband and I had been going to the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant in Denton for a long time. This past year we noticed the food quality has been going downhill. I ordered a prime rib dinner MEDIUM WELL and when I received it, the meat was the end piece of the prime rib and so dry and tough that I couldn't cut it with a knife.

I had to send it back. Another time I ordered their fried chicken salad and they forgot to put half of the ingredients listed on their menu for the salad. Once they even forgot to put the chicken on their chicken salad.(had to send it back) In one years time we have had 5 times to send back the food. Each time they apologize and tell us that it should never have been sent out to a customer but the damage is already done. It not only ruined my dinner experience but my husbands as well as his dinner got cold by the time mine was resent to me as he didn't feel right eating while I had to wait for the restaurant to recook my meal. With so many restaurants out there that have better food quality and prices I will NEVER go back to the Texas Roadhouse again.

I have never heard of anyone ordering prime rib medium well--so of course was tough! It should be medium rare or rare, to get the full flavor and taste.

Texas Roadhouse Everything!

I went in with my husband on a date. The waitress had apparently known my husband from high school and was more then thrilled to see him. She went on for a good ten minutes with him before asking "What can I get you to drink? We have such and such on special, I really like this drink with rum, it's called ... I bet you'd like it." She then turns to me and says "and did you want something?" blowing this off she continues to offer my husband this and that while continuing to blow me off. After we got our meals she really blew my mind by sitting next to my husband while we were having our meals. She continued to talk to him as if I wasn't there. He finally said "My wife and I have been married for a little over a year now and like to go out to eat for alone time." She still didn't get the hint. I ended up complaining on her. The manager more or less blew it off. I left in total shock of this woman... Now when we go I request a male server. At least the food is good!

Texas Roadhouse Too loud

I got a headache from the loud noise or people talking... their roofs are high and have no padding or sound absorption at all. I felt ill and could not escape the noise. On top of it I couldn't enjoy my food and I still had to pay for the bad experience.

no i'm not a dishwasher. actually, i am a US Army soldier who has been to many texas roadhouses and have enjoyed them all. the two times i served in iraq the food i missed the most was that of texas roadhouse and white castle.

its noisy because there is so much good stuff going on. its a very vibrant place. great food, great service, and just a great environment. would you rather be at some dull place? its a roadhouse. its supposed to be loud. where the hell you from? freaking guy goes to a roadhouse and complains about noise. thats like some idiot that goes to a ballpark and compains about the hot dogs. your a ###. you obviously dont know much about roadhouses.

Texas Roadhouse Paid for another table's meal

I visited the Texas Roadhouse in Brooklyn, Ohio with my mother to celebrate her birthday (go figure, it's one of her favorite restaurants). The server seemed a bit overwhelmed the entire evening and when it came time to pay the bill she came and collected the checks and credit cards from our party. She returned to the table to distribute the charge slips and cards and was holding mine back. I noticed that she had a slip with my name on it for $48; I questioned why because my bill was only $20. She said that she mistakenly swiped my card for another table's check and she was going to rectify it. She returned saying that she deleted the charge before it went through. I checked my bank account online from my phone and realized that the charge had indeed went through and requested to speak to a manager. The manager came to the table and said that the charge had been voided but their system did not produce void slips and that the charge should come off my account within 24 hours. The next day I went to the Texas Roadhouse website and entered an email complaint because I felt it was ridiculous that something like this occured and the server nor the manager seemed to care that $50 of my money was being held for a meal that somebody I didn't even know consumed! 24 hours later the charge had not come off my account so I called and was on hold for 10 minutes (which is a long time to hold a phone) before a manager came to the phone. He stated that he had all my information and inquired if I'd emailed. He said that he didn't know why the manager told me the charge would come off within 24 hours because it takes between 48 to 72 hours to come off the account and asked wasn't it a pending charge. I said no the funds had been deducted from my account to which he replied 'yea that sucks'. He also did not seem to understand that this could have been potentially devastating if I did not have those funds available. I was never offered an apology (unless you count 'yea that sucks') or any offer to ensure that I would return as a customer. FINALLY yesterday 3 DAYS later the charge came off my account.
I don't know what world the employees and managers of Texas Roadhouse live in but in my world it's never OK to hold any amount of someone's money and not offer anything in return. Because of this experience I will not return as a customer - I wasn't given a reason to return!

I work at TRH myself and I so tired to deal with such idioits, who can not make a diference between pending and posted charge. And also: you will not believe it, but there are ALIVE people working in TRH, which means they can (OMG!) make a mistake!

Actually he/she said it wasn't pending, and it was completely drafted from his account. An honest mistake is one thing, but one manager saying one thing, and the other saying another with an added "yeah that sucks" is unprofessional and not reassuring.

But I wonder, did you end up getting charged for your own $20 meal?

Texas Roadhouse Stole credit card number

I brought my family to texas road house and used my credit card and it was the only thing i used my credit card on in 3 weeks and after going there about maybe 1 or 2 days after my card started getting charges.I just wanted to warn you to be careful sadly i hadn't found this site at the time but just wanted to warn its the one in the new area in Rosenberg, texas but it could also be any place that serves food. ^_^ just be careful.

This same exact thing just happened to my husband and I last night. After being the victims of identity theft in the past, we use cash, 90% of the time. Last night for dinner, we had less cash than we thought and used our Chase debit card. The ONLY place we have used it in over a week. And our first time at Texas Roadhouse. The waitress took our card, and came back with it and our receipt. Fast forward to this morning when I got an alert that my card was suspended. Called the bank and was told that a $500 withdrawal at a non Chase ATM was flagged, along with several online purchases. The ATM charge was from an ATM about 15 miles from where the restaurant was. Now we live over an hour away from this place, so the only thing that was in common with the theft location, was the restaurant. Thank goodness we have excellent account monitoring that denied all charges, but still. If you go to a restaurant where the waitress has to walk off with your card, don't make our mistake. Take cash!

on the 15th of Sept I visited the roadhousein Idaho Falls Idaho when the bar tender who I found out was Sahra Smith>she was rude and was soliciting men at the bar.I left immediately if this is the kind of people you hire I will not be back

Texas Roadhouse Bad service, bad food

We visited one of your roadhouses tonight for supper. Our waitress acted like we were bothering here when we asked for something... Our order came after several other tables that ordered after us. The orders were mixed up the steaks were not done correctly. They took our steaks back and re - cooked them, but it took so long to get them back we weren't hungry any more... The manager was nice about everything, but this isn't the first time we have had bad service, bad food at one of your establishments. I feel you should know about this...

For one thing I am not a kid...We were not telling them to hurry up...We asked for them to be medium rare and they were done too much, so how is that making them hurry up? You should very immature and if you are associated with the Texas Roadhouse chain in any way I sure feel sorry for them... We were not going to accept steaks cooked too much when we pay the high price for going there.

Poor service the appetizer never came, I had to ask for it then they gave me a difficult time told me I could take it with me.
Then the waitress said I could use the free coupon next time for a free cactus onion never got more water, had to ask for butter, potatoes were cold and the steak and mushrooms were burnt.

Total bill was 23.30 dollars, we go at least three times a month this the first time I have had such a terrible experience

if that comment from zachary was meant for me in my response to my comment well than, this is my response to you zachary: 1st of all i can spell very well. many years ago i won 2nd place in the national spelling bee. 2nd of all i cook meat every day. i always eat it well done. 3rd of all i have noticed in many restaurants including TRH that there are posted signs referring to having to cook all meat to well done specifications according to their state laws.

havent you noticed the signs that for the publics safety they have to cook all orders well done? so no matter how you order it it will be well done...and i am so glad they have that law in some states. well done meat is better for you. less chance of disease you know.

i was at texas roadhouse in joliet, ill the waiter for one thing didnt have the biscuit for us, then i had to ask, she came back with some, but gave them to another table, she didnt even serveus the food, another girl did how can i tip her, she seemed more interested inthe other table with more people, also my daughter ordered the griled salad and she wasnt pleased with it, it seemed like they were skimmping on the salad, and the way it was prepared it looked like they were in a hurry, my daughter wwaited for our waitress nd when she finally came was told how diappointed the salad looked, th manager did come but didnt say she would compensatw for the ewaying, and the manager was sarcasict and told us she gave it to the head cook. the waitress took awhile to see if we wanted anything, i told her boxes. i was disapponited on the service ofb the waiter, and the manager, it seemed they might have been short staffed, it was a saturday but that was no excuse, i have been there a few times. zsomeone out there please reply. thanks

Texas Roadhouse Terrible employees

I have been in the food industry since I was 14. That doesn't mean I know all, but I know when there needs to be a major head to make a surprise visit to the east store. I think it is on KINSER or at east town . I have been going for several years and I have turned several friends and family on to the restaurant. There are boys running around with shirts out letting there underwear show, hats (not all texas hats) turned sideways, hostesses never smiling as they take you to be sitted. I will probably stay away for a while to see if maybe there may be change happen. I can remember when you were treated nice so you would come back. The waiters do a dissent job. I see way to much standing around talking. I was taught in school that there is always something that needs to be cleaned in a restaurant. The managers are slaking in keeping things going the way they should. Most of the clothes are to small on the young girls. If I am seeing there back or sides then their shirts need to be larger and tucked in with a BLACK belt-plain. I read this and I know I sound like a ### and I really am not. If the cats away the mice will play. Dennise does a pretty good job and making them to stay on task. The lady manager tonight was doing books and could have cared less. One of her waiters came up to talk and his hat was sideways, underwear showing; he was real close to looking like a thug. I understand you want your employees happy but we all should have a set of rules for work. It pays the bills... I have put this off for several weeks, But I thought someone should know that can see this through. Thank you so much for letting me vent. I will go back in a couple weeks to see if there has been any changes. Please don't let anyone see my name.They will know who I am. I do not want to start trouble, I just want my TEXAS ROADHOUSE back.right down to the big fluffy rolls we use to get. The small cactus blossom is a great idea.

Just want to shout out to the Texas Road House in kokomo Indiana food, service, and employees are all awesome every time I go in. We don't eat out very often but I have spent every birthday at TRH for the past 14 years seem like all the people from management to the hostess really enjoy working there and it shows in the service keep it up

We took our 4 sons and mother out to celebrate and ordered 4 prime rib dinners, a sirlion/shrimp combo, and 2 other dinners. The prime rib tasted like oscar meyer hot dogs, one of my sons only ate half of the steak. My steak was tough and didn't have a good flavor. We told the manager about it, (this is the second time we have tried them) and he just blew us off. It took over 20 minutes to get the server's attention to get our bill so we could leave. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

Yikes! Never going there again! Its a mess at the Prescott Texas Roadhouse, they cant make up they're minds on business hours. The Waite for seating is ridiculous even when its not busy, and the lady manager wendy is very unprofessional, and rude to her employees in front of customers. I felt like I was intruding in someones argument, but I was stuck sitting near the work area, and could hear everything that was going on. Id rather go to olive garden from now on, they really know how to run a business, and the food is always good!

where to begin. the phone ahead waiting. called to have a 8:30 seating. well they say get their 15 min prior. well we decided to get there abit earlier and well lets say add the 15 min get here early to the actual wait we had and your over an hr. so lets say we didn't get seated till about after 9pm. and I told the wife do you still want to stay. she said sure. so we did. Well we gotten seated and ordered our drinks and some appitizers. myself the rattle snake bites and the wife the fried pickle chips. well mine came out somewhat cold and the chips like they came out of the fryer. Ok. well I ordered the pulled pork and the wife the salmon since she doesn't eat MEAT. well the pulled pork looked like they just ripped the pieces off and through them on the bun. not alot of sause on the meat which sucked. the fries of mine were like over over seasoned with their spices which made me say forget eating the rest of them even with Katchape on them. now onto the wifes meal. well the salmon slice was really small. the piece I think didn't even measure about 2" for a slice and that is giving some extra since I didn't measure it properly. they spiced the hell of it and for that little slice I think somebody needs to realize alittle bit goes along way especially with a small portion slice. the Veg's were cooking in butter and the wife was like forget it. the impression I got was like they steamed the veg but added butter to it like that is going to help make it taste different. My brother went to the place and said oh everything is great and such that I wonder what day he went since we had a terriable meal. the wife and I asked the server when should we come. the week day is better so we will try it again and see but if they haven't fixed problems I think that will be the last time we eat there.

My family & I went to the Texas Roadhouse in Lafayette Indiana there were 7 of us. My husband and I could not get them to cook our steak the way we wanted them to, they were taken back several time and finally we decided to order something else, the waiter was very rud to us. Also the music was very, very load thatI could not visit with my family, I asked the manager if he could lower it down and he said yes, well he never did and my family and I had to actually yelled at each other so we could hear our conversations. It was a very bad experience and thought you should know about this situation.

The music is TOO LOUD..can't hear the waitress and can't visit with anyone at table...can't hear each other. Asked to have it turned down and was told they have to keep it at this level. Whats the deal? Does loud music make you drink and eat more or what? The food taste good but you cannot enjoy because of the loud music !

Don't know about going through all this drama to complain about a rude employee but, ok.
I called to order a pizza as have done before and was put on hold. When she came back she said yea what? I was a bit confused and said I wanted an order and she sounded irritated and said hold please. She came back on the line and said what do you want? at that point I said apparently not a pizza and hung up.
I have called this location before and have been very happy but, this person was rude and unapproachable and should never be in contact with the public. I will never contact them for an order again as I was made to feel like I was bothering them with a call let alone an order. Texas roadhouse will get my business tonight.

I have been dining at your star city location for a long time . Today 4/30/16 approx.3:45 we sat down to order and eat our waitress Kaytlin was a pain in the ### from the beginning. She took our order/ came back 10 mins. later asked if everything was ok .. I didn't get my food yet.. Then my food came wich was very good as usual but EVERY 10 minutes she came by to ask are you ready for desert NO i'm still cutting my steak. Please if I need you i:ll call you I had to tell her.. 10 to 15 minutes later she can and gave me my check while I was still chewing my food my wife and son looked at me in a confused way.. I told them hurry and finish as much as they can just to leave... It was a very uncomfortable evening sorry to say . Its gonna be a good while before we visit texas Roadhouse again sorry to say ThankYou for your time ..

Ive been going there once a month for 7 years.. portions getting smaller and smaller. Im now done with this restaurant after last night. 6oz steak was about 3 and a half oz's salad wad the smallest EVEr and looked old. Use to be my favorite now I need to find a new place. :(

Im sorry if any of you have had a bad experience with Texas road house. I started last week as a line cook and worked in many kitchens. This by far is the cleanest kitchen I have ever worked in and with a chef degree I am surprised that every thing down to the salad dressings are made in house. I have cut steaks and pounded out burgers and honestly its one guy by himself for six hours or better a day so after looking at one cow the whole day it starts to get to a person. So I'm sorry if your steak was inedible please if you get something like that send it back we will fix another. I work at the one in Johnson city yes I know that the servers are required to line dance and sing happy birthday but at the same time we all work our butts off, servers hardly make anything on an hour and as a previous server the tips are their paycheck, and its hard to keep up with customers when they have cleaning, 6-8 tables, drinks and food to run its super exhausting sometimes you have to work in their shoes to know that even running for everything and working so hard that most people on average leave 2 or 3 bucks for a tip. Occasionally some one tips good but it still doesn't help when some customers want everything and leave nothing and at the end of the night most places have to split their tips. And if you have to wait 20 minutes for your food please don't rush it you also have to think that the back of house are getting ticket after ticket and it is nothing to have 15 or more tickets up and 10 more are flying out of the machine the back of house employees are a team each person takes part making sure everything `gets out correctly and on time I understand your complaints but remember we are all human and we do mess up I hope that your next trip will be better.

Texas Roadhouse Had to go away with an empty stomach!

I was in a group of ten that wanted to try your new restaurant. I have been to other Taxes Roadhouse restaurants and was thrilled when you opened in the area, but I was very disappointed with our service last night - January 18th.

Understanding that we had a large group we used your call ahead option.
We called the restaurant at approximately 4:55 for a 6:00 pm arrival time.

We were told that we could experience an additional wait time when we arrived. We were ok with that. At approximately 6:30, our pager/name was called and the hostess informed us it would be 5 minutes.
Again, not a problem. 5 minutes turned into 10 which turned into 20.
We approached the hostess again wanting to know what the hold-up was.
We were told the group occupying "our" table was chatting and as soon as they left we would be seated. After an additional 10 minutes - we were told the same thing. My main problem was, we informed the hostess that our group would split up in order to get us in. There were several groups of 5 that came in after us and were seated before us -- why were we not seated first when we said we would split up? When we pondered this to the hostess we were told that was "our" table and they were waiting for it to become vacant. What I don't understand was when we told the hostess we would be split up why we were not seated but rather bound to the original table assignment.

We ended up leaving without eating after waiting 1.5 hours in the store (total of 2.5 hours including phone in time). So because you wouldn't assign us a different table you lost the business of 10 people last night (18 January). I really wanted to try your restaurant and food, and I was very disappointed to go away with an empty stomach.

Your playlist needs to change. I hear the same songs every single time I come in (3-4 times/week). It gets old. Like, Shania every day at 5:28. Do better, corporate.

I keep coming back because the bar tenders and managers are great people. But, I am, as well as others that I meet here are tired of your playlist. You will lose our $500/week.

Placed a to go order earlier today. I ordered a medium rare prime rib. I received a well done rib eye (no aujus). I couldn't get past a prime rib that was tough and hard for me to chew
I called the restaurant and explained my situation 3 times. Each time I was disconnected. I felt disrespected being hung up on My prime rib is over cooked and tuff

My steak was brunt I told the manger it looked like he was having a bad day he told me he would remake the the steak I literally waited over 45 minutes so I left without it I asked for refund but they were taking all day it was crowd in

My wife and I had the same meal with a few exceptions different dressing & load BP When we got home both of us were violently ill, from both ends on our 15 year anniversary. Called and was offered nothing, they try to blame it on what I had for breakfast. We didn't eat the same thing for breakfast but we both got sick 20 minutes after eating TR

Ordered curbside take out last night ask for my steak kabobs to be well done since I'm 7 months pregnant and what did I get red, sick isn't the word. Also got the filet steak for my boyfriend same thing very red

Orders well done steak is barley cooked them messed up my sampler order and said they nolonger had potato skins but someone a table away was eatin them

Started working trainer was so nasty and ignorant treated me terrible called me old. I'm 57 that's not old would never recommend for work. Was told its team work we are family my [censored].My son worked here they talked crap on him as well management needs replaced .They need to be managers not their best friends. Terrible place to work.

Service was bad ordered a onion did not get it did not get one last time I came the waitress was not very good had to wait 15 minutes to get something to drink this is been a ongoing thing
