Poor customer service from a member of management and employee. We had to wait over an hour. We were still waiting after numerous customers were seated. We were told by a member of management and front desk employee that we had to wait until their employees came to work. There was no estimated time given as to when the employees would arrive. We were the only African Americans in the whole location at this time. There was noticable racism being portrayed by employees at this restaurant. I was shocked and dismayed because my family and I have visited this location and others on numerous occasions. I won't be going back soon. We were embarassed with numerous other patrons being seated behind us and viewing us as if we were outcast.
Recommendation: Dine at your own risk
On Sunday, December 14th, my family and I visited the Texas Roadhouse in FlowerMound, TX at 12:49 pm. I was asked the front desk employee if they had a table instead of a booth available. She informed me that they did not have a booth available. She informed me that I had to wait until the rest of their employees come to work to be seated. I then asked if we could sit at a booth since there were several booths available. She stated again that they did not have enough workers to assist us. She said we had to wait until more employees arrived. I asked her how long will it be for additional employees to arrive. She said she was unsure maybe 30 minutes to an hour or more. While my family and I (party of 5) were standing at the front. There were numerous patrons being seated with 5 or more parties. I asked her how were so many people being seated while we had to wait for more staff. She said "I said we don't have a booth nor table to seat you at this time." I asked for a manager. The manager came to the front to ask what was the issue. I explained my concerns to her regarding having to wait along with seeing numerous people coming in after us and being seated. She said they were short of help and she agreed with the front desk employee that we had to wait until some of her other employees come to work. I asked her were we asked to wait because of our difference in skin color. My family and I noticed that everyone in the restaurant were Caucasian. We were the only African Americans still waiting approximately a hour and still not seated. The manager whispered to the front desk and other employees standing around the front. She then told us she will have to locate us a table. This is very disheartening as much as we have patronized and spent good money at this restaurant. I was appalled that in the year of 2025 employees were so open with playing the race game to customers. I will not be visiting this premise in the future. It was embarassing to watch everyone coming in and being seated while we waited over an hour. In addition, there were several employees standing around at the front and waiting tables who could have assisted us. Texas Roadhouse has lost several faithful patrons while members of management and an employee choose to play the "race" game.
