Texas Roadhouse review: Quality of Steak is pretty bad

Took my 9 year old grandson on a fishing charter, stayed at hotel the night before and let him choose where to eat supper. He chose Texas Road House a couple of blocks from the hotel and neither of us had ever been to a Texas Road House. We were greeted by very friendly folks and taken to a table. Drinks were order and delivered along with some rolls and butter. Wes ordered a rib eye steak and I ordered the ribs. Both meals were readily delivered by the very pleasant waiter. Since Wes is 9 years old, I cut about one third of his steak into pieces fit for a 9 year old. After he ate the portion I cut, I asked if I should cut the remainder of his steak to which her replied, "grandpa, this steak sucks, it is almost all fat and gristle!". I notified our waiter who offered no solution. She did ask if we wanted to take the steak home. I do not know what would change by taking the steak home. A person unidentified delivered to our table a coupon for a free appetizer to be used upon our return. I just checked my AmEx account and I spent $86.39 on September 14, 2026 at this Texas Road House in Willoughby, Ohio. Pretty certain that this was our very first visit to any Texas Road House and probably our last.
