Over the last two years of being with Telkom I have been charged over R2000 in payment rejection fees. I queried this with Telkom and they told me that I must pay my account 10 days early in order to avoid my account being debited. So, I pay early and don't get any credit whatsoever for paying early, pay a day late and my services will be disconnected and get will have to wait for my payment to reflect. The staff are aggressive and flat out just read from their prompts. In this day and age with high living costs, these additional costs could have paid for food for my children or paid for electricity
