I had booked for a tataindicom broadband connection. I had got in touch with the sales person and he visited my residence, as per procedure and collected all the necessary documents and i paid him 500/- as cash, 50/- as his charge! Well i was promised the connection in 2 days, but its already 15 days now and still i have no clue whats the status of my connection. Well the sales guy whom i had contacted doesn't pick my call. I called up customer care to check about it, but they asked for application number. I stated the application no which was mentioned on the form, but they said its invalid and they cant help!

Well my question Is TataI ndicom is aware about these sales guys, as that guy had a ID of the Co? If so how can they say that they are responsible?

Well i have submitted documents also, i am not sure whom to approach! But i would request others please don't trust the sales guys, they are more or less cheaters! Please be careful before submitting your documents. Don't pay the deposit until and unless u get the connection!

My indicom broadband is not working from last 15 days and more, the complaints have been done umpteen number of times, nobody seems to be bothered however there is a feedback from hyderabad. im situated in pune nobody locally contacted me till date i dont no whether tata is interested to solve the problem . i always respected tata group but this time it is put me in shame.it is high time i complain this to tata group, if they are aware of such thing happening. coz internet is something which gives us global c onnectivity day in and out. to day im posting this complaint from internet cafe this cost me roughly 15 rs. per day. so is tata going to refund me all this money i spend.

Hello,

This is a complaing regarding tata indicom the poor service provider I have a postpaid connection from past 3 years and first 4 months i received my bill but after that I have not received the bill I always have to ask for a duplicate copy of bill and also that comes after due date and every time they add 75 rs penalty for late payment i have made complaint regarding that atleast 100 times but nothing happen every time I only get an assurance that next time I will receive the bill But nothing I am getting tired with that so I have only option that i should go to Consumer court with that can some one help me about that procedure?

I am Kameswara Rao.T, TATA Indicom Postpaid customer of [protected]. I was disconnected this connection 16th, March 2007and submitted the disconnection request form at Ammeer Pet, Hyderabad Branch on 16 th March 2007 and that time only I paid all the previous bills.

But the TATA Indicom people didn't disconnect the connection and they are keeping on sending bills for 3 more months later. I didn't pay these bills.

Regarding this I went to Public office, HYDERABAD last two times and complained. But I am not satisfied with their argument that they said Re-Activation team called me long back and they offered me new plan so that I said them to Re-activate my connection again. That's not TRUE because from that day one my connection is in the same plan It never changed (Please check Plans history of [protected]) If any TATA Indicom Team have access and do the need full.

this is a very bad experience for me with tata indicom mobile! it promises people for good connectivity but there is no network, there is always a unfair balance deduction. every time customer get calls from customer care for some or the other resons.
this is a humble request please stop deducting balance, every day u charge me 4 no reason. when we try to call the tollfree number, it saying that it is an incorrect number.
if any one is going to read this, please response this n refund my balance you people deducted. you people are scam man!

This is very unfortunate that TATA company has terminated my two email accounts which are more than 12 years old. They say that I did not pay and sending the termination notice is not their responsibility. Suddenly I stop receiving emails on my those two email accounts and when I call them, they say those two accounts had been terminate for non payment and once terminated, nothing can be done? They have even stopped responding to any emails. Do you think that its fair to terminate 12 years old account without any intimation, I had been paying for 12 years non stop and this time, I had no intimation at all. Looks like that they just wanted to terminate those accounts reasons not known to me. I do not know whom to speak? can someone help?

Tata indicom is the worst ISP. Their attitude towards their customers is unprofessional. I applied for a new broadband connection and the sales executive (Vilas Padwal: [protected]) persuaded us and convinced us that they would give us a new connection in 10 days. It's been 16 days now, so I firmly told him to return the check back and he refuses to pick up the phone. Never go for their prepaid plans, in fact, avoid this ISP. Their customer service department sucks and I wonder why they have a customer service department in the first place.

never ever take Tata Indicom connection as it will work for only 20% of the time and rest of yr life will go in trying to make them listen to yr complaints and that will still have no effect as the connection will come up only upon it's natural cycle time.

They should be penalized for all the phone calls customers have had to make and the hassle caused.

I've purchased a "TATA" prepaid connection on the end of March,2007. After three days I’m getting some calls from various people asking for help on their "TATA" phones. They helped me to know that my cell phone No. Had given in the advertisement by TATA TeleService all over India as a customer care officials. Phone Calls from any other Service company don’t come to my phone! Later I find that a post paid connection of my number is running by "TATA Customer Care"! So, their calls come to me and vice - versa. For this problem I’ve already faced huge loss. I’ve complained several times to them but being misguide. Now they ask me to surrender the phone, which i can't do.

On Date 20/05/10 time 9:32am I received a call from a customer care executive(phone- +[protected]), he told me that my no was selected for that day and told me regarding welcome tunes, I told am NOT INTERESTED but he didn't stop, when I end up that call, I received a message that "as per my balance am subscribed to welcome tunes for Rs.30"
On next day I was charged Rs10 for selecting a song though I didn't make any such attempt
Company itself has subscribed the service and I lost an amt of Rs.40
On complaining about this, I didn't get any fair reply!

1. This is regarding non receipt of refundable security money from TATA INDICOM since Jan 2007.

2. I had got disconnected my Tata Indicom No 040-[protected] for which Representative of Vijaya Vinayaka Associates had collected telephone set and rendered receipt No [protected] dated 18 Jan 2007.

3. It is very sad to mention that security money has not yet been paid to me.

4. I hope this complaint will make them to respond

Am holding tataindicom postpaid connection no which i took from jorhat on 05 Feb 2009 and it got activated on 10 Feb 2009.The place where i have taken connection (M/S BORUAH's Gar-Ali, Jorhat) told me that for 1st two months its unlimited and after that i can choose any one of plan available which will statup automatically.Along with my form an additional acceptance of my plan has been taken by the branch where i opted for a rental plan of 325 rupees per month.The TataIndicom Shop told me that it will automatically change to 325 plan as an when my two months will be over, but Am shocked to see my 1st bill where without my knowledge and consent they have put me into unlimited plan and my bill comes to 929 rupees.

i have contected Tataindicom outlet from where i took the connection and for past 1week everyday am contacting them without any fruitful result .without customer consent they cant change my plans automatically.And for there mistake why should be a customer be suffrer and they should have informed me about any chages in advance as i have provided them with all my telephone nos and email ids along with application form.Everyday i get information about tataindicom new launches on my mailid but about my plan they never informed me.

I am is surendra from Hyderabad. TATA indicom has cheated me. I don't remember all complaint nos. but few of them are

Phone no. alloted to me by Tata indicom is [protected] which is not working at all because they supplied an old and wrong instrument which is not in working condition.

I applied for a wireless internet connection on 13 of July 2007 for which I paid Rs 1622 as cash. After lot of request and office visit I haven't got this wireless internet service from Tata indicom. Also after all my inquiries about TATA Indicom I found that they dosen't have products (Like phone instrument, connecting cable etc) to provide wireless internet service for more then 3 months which is a fact. But even then TATA Indicom is cheating by taking customers money for this service with a promise of installation in 48 hrs. After taking the money and application what there people say is all fraud. Few of there statement as below:-

Make a call to customer care, we are not responsible for this.
Stock is not available, may come within a week.
We are sending our executive in one hour
This request will only be handle by head office.
Head office says, No we don't deal with these type of request. Please contact the executive who took ur application.
Executive shouts and says we can't do without order from service center.

All above statements are by tata indicom people. They don't know what they are doing and what is the need of a customer even when customer explains everything before applying for a service or product.

All I can say in short is

Ridiculous behaviour of indicom people
Worst service by TATA indicom
They don't have products and services for which they are making money.
New connection problems
Harassment of customers by TATA indicom executive(They should not be called as executive because they appoint any one for anything doesn't matter whether he can speak/write or not)
TATA Indicom is a scam
Complete fraud and cheating services.

I have sent the above problem to all there e-mails of nodal officers and senior executives in the hope of resolution for my problem.

I am Tata Indicom customer having a postpaid connection from TATA Indicom since 25th April 2007. At the time of installation they have installed a old handset at my home; after making complaint they assured it will be changed after 2 days. But still the condition is same. When I made complaint to disconnect it they again told to me we will change it within 2 days please don't disconnect it. After some time a customer executive called at my home and said you have pay 1000/- Rs for changing. I am really worried.

My wife had purchased this LG set with Tata Indicom connection on 25.07.06. After it went blackout on 25.08.2006, the set was handed over to the dealer - M/s AIMA, 164, Bidhan Sarani Kolkata 7000006, India for repair. Though they had assured that the set will be oK within 3 working days we got it back only on 04.09.06. The woman at the shop did not demonstrate the working, saying that the phone is not having any charge left but after putting it in charge at home it would function properly. Today the phone was kept in charge and after switcing it ON - it immdtly again went blackout.

M/s AIMA is refusing to accept any responsibility now.

I have lost my CDMA handset of tata indicom, after that i have taken the same number with backberry 8530 mobile handset (CDMA). Tata Indicom made my mobile bill of rupee 40, 000(internet use in just 10 days . i have taken a internet plan of blackberry of rupees 500 (gold plan) for using internet but they are still saying that a person can use internet of rupee 40000 that is too in 10 days after having the internet plan, how is this possible ... please have a look at that . my mobile numner is [protected]... they are making fool of me . is'nt it ..?

"Switch to Tata Indicom and experience the difference". Sounds very good isn't it?. I switched to Tata Indicom and experienced the difference also. Now I decided I will never switch to Tata Indicom in future and also I will try my level best to keep my friends or peoples around me away from this service.

Thank you tata indicom for showing me "how the service should not be?". I assure you that you will not be able to find out a single responsible person in the customer care of Tata Indicom on which you can depend.

I bought the usb modem wireless from tata indicom at Pune. But i got transferred to bangalore after a month. They have not given me a bill for the usb modem which they had told me will be given with the sim. After calling them atleast 50 times still no bill has been provided to my relatives house at Pune. After too much shouting and irritation i got a bill through email without an authorised signature. Now i have given for disconnection and it has not been disconnected for the past 20 days. i dont know how much more of CASH would be wasted. PATHETIC SERVICE WITH PATHETIC AND LOUSY TECHNICIANS . Hope that it gets disconnected soon otherwise i am getting charged in the process for the service which i dont use.Who takes 20 days for disconnection! i have used other internet services like airtel and they have been very excellent. If in India the judicial system would have been excellent I could have sued them. But thats additionally not possible. So just hoping. I feel we are helpless opposed to them. They reckon that anything they do, it s well and excellent. But we should prove them incorrect.

From the very begging the Speed of the TATA Photon + is very low in the range of 60-140 kbps as against their advertisement of 3.1MBPS. When u talk to the customer care executives they say that the advertised spped is upto and it cannot be achieved. So kindly be satisfied whatever you are getting.

beleive me if any tata people come to me with any of their service i will kick them out. such a bad ### service from the tata company. whos heading that company.. iam sure his background may be from *tappori machhi market(sure..thats better than tata indicomfor the service)
i alredy complaint my points about tata indicom but no action. they just avoided me like begger.

airtel or reliance and even our bsnl are better in telecommunication sector.

I have asked for Internet connection from Tata Indicom on 3rd of July. They told me that the connection will be given within a span of 5 working days. But I got a call from them after one week saying that the connection was rejected because Im staying at bachelor accomodation. I asked them to give explanation and it was said that I have to pay another 500 rupess which was not stated anywhere ans was not even stated by their executive.

Still I paid the amount and till now I have been waiting. There is no proper response from their part too. My calls to the executives mobile are cut abruptly. Im very enraged at their behaviour. Very disappointed.

I'm having corporate connection for Tataindicom broadband since last 7-8 months. Not used much during this period and I was paying monthly bills in a hope when needed I can opt for work from home. Last month got a chance to work form home as nobody was there at home to take care of my kid. I was too much disappointed with frequent disconnections when started working from home. I had called around 50-60 times to customer care since last 25-30 days but still having connectivity issues. Custromer care people seems to be troubling customers more. Looks like there is no responsible person to handle consumers' issues. Everytime getting same response from customer care people "Your issue will be resolved within 6 working hrs." Sometimes down time is more than 3-4 days and if it's working at all, either speed is horrible or disconnecting after every 5-10min.

I am using Tata internet connection till 6 months at veraval somnath.I have a fish exporting co. My totally business is overseas company related so my totally business is done via internet. but there is a problem with the internet speed, i cant open a single page.i have to wait for a long time to open a single page. what is this.i cant believe that such a big co. like tata cant solve this problem. i have submitted a lot of emails to the region office of tata. but still i face the same problem.
i think they dont eager to keep business ahead, & i think they will succeed in their aim.

I am Sandeep Kumar Pandey I am using Tata number for last 3 years ([protected]). Today 31sr march when I call anywhere my this number services is block without any information’s.
Earlier on of my relative using another number they have left NCR region due to some problem and they have done full and final for this using number. After two month some Tata customer care call me and ask for pending payment according to then we have around INR 900 pending I will deposit payment via cheque and they will give us a latter to full and final for that number.
Due to this problem you guys will block my number services why?
Take a look on my number bill and advice

POOR SERVICE OF TATA INDICOM BROAD BAND SERVICE...

I had applied shifting of connection through call on 3rd June 2007 & till now (i.e.12th July) I did not received the connection, already 40days is passed.
Main thing is while connecting there will be a responsible person but while service or shifting there will be no responsible person, when ever we call to the service they say Ok sir I will take this complaint in top priority & I will get it done, but who is the responsible person? They say company is responsible.
Here is the brief complaint description attached.

Customer: - Booked a complaint on June 3rd for shifting of connection & complaint number is 2572924.

Company: - After calling from my side company service people said that the port availability is not there.

Customer: - Inquired for a new connection, the new connection people said today you pay the amount next day I will connect it. I asked two connections he said it is possible.
How come it is possible for new connection if port is not free?
i.e. it is a false statement.

Company: - Company fellow said book a complaint it will be done.

Customer: - Again booked a complaint on June 11th complaint number 2641242.

Company:- After calling from my side company service people said that they had called you your phone is incorrect. Again a false statement, because never I will switch of my mobile.

Customer:- Called again to customer service people on 17th June.

Company:- Port availability is there & will be connected as early as possible.

Customer:- Felt very happy at least I will get the connection.

Company:- A surprise thing is I got a call from TATA Indicom service people, they asked me that you have applied for shifting of new connection, I said Yes. Immediately he kept the phone saying thank you.

Customer:- Again made a call on 24th June.

Company:- Sir in system it is showing that connection is already done.

Customer: - I was surprised when I heard this: with visiting our house it self how they connected all these things are false statement.

Customer:- Again called & asked what is the solution?

Company: - This complaint number is already closed so please make a new complaint & made a new complaint number 2840890.

Customer:- I called 4 times between this period & there is no response.

So dear my friends & all my advice is not to go for TATA INDICOM SERVICE because for calling to this service itself I have lost Rs 835. In this I would have got a new connection.

There is no responsible person for TATA INDICOM SERVICE.

I applied for a Tata Indicom connection. Previously I was given a defunctive sim. After a gap of one week, running from pillar to post, my connection was rendered.My Sim Card(no-[protected]) has strangely been registered under my Companys name whereas it is my personal sim. The customer service people misbehaved with my husband when he went to surrender the card along with all the valid documents on my behalf threatening that they will keep sending the bills in my office. I want to discontinue the services and surrender my sim card. No more bills should be generated in my name henceforth. I found the tata Indicom services absolutely atrocious and poor.

Tata Indicom Broad Band service provider claims that any request made for renewal pack will be delivered within 48 hours. But I am very unhappy to bring to your notice that this is not true. On August 26th I had placed an order for a renewal pack. When I did not get the pack within the stipulated time I kept calling them. Instead of immediate action being taken, the service provider just kept apologising and did not do much to speed up the matter. I got the renewal only after one week.
The incident was repeated again this week. The order was placed on Wedneday the 20th of September. We got the pack only on 24th evening.

I think this is not in keeping with their claim of delivering within 48 hours.
A big company like Tata Indicom should ensure that such delays are avoided

I am having a dial-up internet connection since 1999. Of late I am finding it extremely difficult to connect with the internet. Sometimes I have to make upto 5-6 attempts before I am connected. Many times after getting the connection it cuts off by itself. I made several complaints to their customer care department who practically did nothing except sweet-talk. I sent two letters to their President Mr. Shankar Prasad by courier dated 24.07.2008 and 22.08.2008 but except for some half-hearted attempts by their Service Dept., I did not receive even a written acknowledgment from their President`s office which speaks of their complete callousness towards their customers.

I took tata connection on 14 oct 06 with national roaming plan from jodhpur Rajasthen. The very next day i moved to another state (DELHI) but my handset not working since that. I complained for that to tata hub in jodhpur, delhi & in noida also but they just said that roaming is activated from our server and can not help u any more.

Upon dialing customer service number of Tata Indicom, you get forwarded from one menu to the other. If you have a problem not solvable by the available menus then it is impossible to reach a human CSR to ask your questions. The IVRS system says "dial 9 to talk to an operator" but on dialing 9, you are forwarded to a voice-based IVRS and on exploring the full menu still there is no trace of an operator whom you can ask your question. This whole process takes up to 10 minutes and still you do not get an answer making it very frustrating.

Dear All,

My name is Niranjan and I was using post paid connection from one year [protected] and it was my business phone and it’s there in all my business communication. recently I sent mail to Tata incicom customer care for migrating this number to pre paid, they sent the representative to get the sign, that guy took sign from me for two forms saying first they need to cancel the connection before migration and also he took sign for migration form.

later I called customer care on Dec 16th to reconfirm wtr it has been converted successfully, and got the positive reply from them, but suddenly this number has been issued to some one else without my notification. I recharged this number with 50 rs unknowingly, later when I called that number and I was shocked when some one pickd tha call, can anyone please help me regarding this?

I will never use Tata service in my life, and I suggest for others not to use their service.

i have given for mnp from tata indicom to airtel in the month of 23 /12/2012. till now the problem not solved and i have given so many mails also still you are unable to resolve it. it shows your inefficiency and one of the stupid company in which we are facing so many problems

I am a tata indicom (prepaid) costumer, my services were blocked without informing me, i lost my mobile two days ago and got the same no.[protected], activated on other valid mobile bought from tata showroom, it was working fine for two days but today it was not, on contacting the service provider after alot of efforts i was informed that there is an ERROR , not knowing what kind and they also telling nothing. TATA INDICOM is boasting of what great service providers they are but they are the lousiest one of all. They dont even have proper complaint cell where one could launch its complaints, selling a product is not only a thing when they are not able to provide after sales services.

A VERY BAD SERVICE PROVIDER WITH NO AFTER SALES SERVICES.

I had used tataindicom walky for around five months due to some reason i had to stay in village for 2 months now when i am trying to refill i am not even able 2 talk to costomer service officer because my number is also cancelled when i enquired i was told to submit documents.even after submitting documents my number is not yet activated! i am very unhappy with the service ! if i am given an option to choose a phone for home i will never, nor will recommend any person to purchase a tataindicom walky! i am very very dissappointed by the service!

Hi,

I was using Tata Photon Mobile Broadband Service at my mobile set " SAMSUNG METRO TV".

On expiring my data usage validity i purchased new TATA Photon Mobile Broadband SIM.

But internet not working.

I contacted customer care/ visited TATA retail outlet several times. Even most of customer care not well educated about this plan and supporting Handset.

But no resolution.

I, Dr.Sneha, am using Tata indicom prepaid number of Andhra Pradesh state (phone number - [protected]) . I am facing a very peculiar problem with the tata indicom service again and again.
I am trying to call a BSNL landline number STD – [protected] since last 1 week from my tata indicom prepaid number. It says – “Kindly check the number you have dialed”
Then I dial the same (THE SAME) number from my reliance Andhra Pradesh prepaid number. The call gets connected in just 2 seconds. Then I try from my Andhra Pradesh BSNL landline. Again the call gets connected in 2seconds.
Note.: I am able to receive calls from this particular number with ease, within one ring, at anytime of the day.
Then I again try from my tata number – same problem again.
So I thought may be its network congestion. So I try at midnight, then at 2 am, then 3am, 5am……….. Likewise throughout the day - same message, same problem . Like this I tried with one complete week with lot of patience.
Note: I had about 350-400Rs balance in my prepaid account.
Then I call customer care. The guy at the other end asks me to switch off my cell phone, remove the battery for 5min, then re-insert the battery, start the phone and ur problem will be solved. I am not joking but I tried this at least 100 times in last week.
Then I called up Customer care (12525) and lodged a complaint. Complaint number – PTC0746629043. He asked me to wait till next day 1200hrs. I received a call from tata indicom on next day 1130hrs. They asked me to explain the complaint/problem faced. I explained them in details everything (with great difficulty as they hardly understand English/Hindi). The lady (Deepa probably) said that she will call me back within half hour and the problem will be solved.
I waited and waited for their call till evening.
Then I called up again with a complaint. The guy assured me that again complaint will be forwarded and problem solved. This time complaint number – PTC0746753845.
Till now the problem has not be sorted out. I am still unable to make calls to that number.
It is still saying – “Kindly check the number you have dialed” I am spending my valuable time daily 3times at least explaining them my problem.
Note: I am expected to explain my entire problem to each and every person I talk to. And mind you – every time I speak to a different person. Half of them have pathetic spoken English. I can barely understand what they say. Many don’t speak Hindi.
The same problem I have faced 3 times in last 6months.

I travelled to Maharashtra state on 15-16th jan . I was able to make phone calls within two seconds to the same BSNL landline number at any point of time from there while in roaming. But as soon as I entered Andhra Circle – the same problem started.
Then I searched tata indicom website for help. I registered online complaint (complaint number 235847 dated 17jan 2011 time - 0940hrs) . on submitting the complaint I got message/email that I will receive phone call from tata indicom office/call centre within 6hours but I didn’t get any reply from the other side for 3days. Three days after filing online complaint, I received an email saying that the complaint has been closed and issue resolved…. But still I am unable to make calls to that particular number.
Kindly look into the matter and help me out

I am an unfortunate customer of the Tata indicom Postpaid account. I took the connection in the mid of May and in less than one month I lost connection several times. I took the connection for my official purpose and needs to be online for 24 * 7 once in a month. Since the internet was not available in some of the weeks ends and week days, I need to spend those hours in my office itself unnecessarily. Whenever I called up the customer care, it says that the wait time is less than 15 mins and I need to hold the line for at least 15 to 20 mins to get my technical query addressed.

After raising the complaint, the response time was very bad which might exceed unto 2 days. If it is Sunday, it will extend unto 3 days. I already talk to the following persons in the Chennai VSNL office (Ranganathan and Karl Marx) and they assured me that my problem be resolved permanently. Even after giving the assurance, I lost connection almost 3 times.

I took a post paid connection worth Rs 3000 which is valid for 4 months. When I requested regarding the reimbursement, they said only Rs 500 will be returned and the rest will be considered as the Installation charge.

Also when I checked the reason for the down time, they are giving me simple reasons like "Server at Mumbai is down", "Link between chennai server and Mumbai server Failed" etc.

PS: This is not only situation, four of my colleagues are facing the same problem and we have no other option other than taking a parallel Airtel connection in order to be in the network.

Is this the reputation of TATA ?

Being a very old, loyal shareholder (30 years) of tata motors and tata steel and also worked for telco jamshedpur, the kind of service i witnessed at the tata indicom hub at new friends colony, delhi on the 17th july 2007. was terrible. In my recent dividend cheque from tata motors i got a coupon for getting a new connection of tata indicom for which i visited the above tata hub. to my surprise no one at the hub were aware of the scheme being given to shareholders. Every body were confused and were not briefed before it was rolled over to all shareholders.

This type of customer support in not taken by one of the premier institution of great india.

This is regarding my non-receipt of Bills from Tata Indicom. We have not received bills for at least 6 months form Tata Indicom. I have also given my email ID so that these people can send me a soft-copy. They have not bothered to do anything but simply say that the bill is dispatched.

Is it not the duty of the company to trace out why the bill has not reached? I have filed at least 10 to 15 complaints. Everytime I had to repeat my address, e mail etc... Is this the service offered by Tata...

What is the customer care department doing?

I had the Tata Indicom internet service paying for the year in advance, it worked very sparingly and the service iks pathetic. the standard reply was that someone will call me back, which never happened for 364 days. This was the cable running into my home and this cable used to be elsewhere by the TV cable operators and I had to struggle, at times, I used to reboot my system so0 many times in a day thinking it could be a problem with the laptop, but it was not.

It worked for not more then 32 days for the year, no compensation from the billing department, as they knew they could not provide uninterupted connection.

I dont know, why Tata's has to continue with such businesses which is impacting the credib ility that they have built in India for the past few decades.
