Super 8 bed bug infested /extremely dirty disgusting

My husband children, and I checked in hoping for a night of peace as we were displaced from our home.. we weren't even there for two hours, and my children started complaining of getting bit. I ignored it at first because kids sometimes make things up until me and my husband started getting bit as well. I did a quick inspection of the bed and not even after a second of lifting up the covers I seen the bed was infested with bedbugs. If that wasn't bad enough the walls, and the floor were filthy! There are stains all over the place in nearly every corner of the room, and bathroom. The rugs look like they have never been vacuumed, and the icing on the cake was the cockroach crawling near the exit sign in the hallway. Honestly filthy is an understatement! I then immediately went to the front desk to complain, and ask for a refund, and the front desk staff said she wasn't able to give me a refund because the management wasn't present. I told her that they needed to clean the rooms, and my son and daughter now have to be seen in the emergency room, she RUDLY responded "well that's not my problem call corporate"! This has been the worst experience I've had in my entire life in any hotel I've ever stayed terrible!

Super 8 customer service and cleanliness of hotel

Awful experience and will post all over social media of how poor the customer service, security and cleanliness of this hotel . Had issue with staff on drunk and disorderly patrons who woke us up at 230 am and played loud music until after 530 am. Made multiple attempts to contact front desk but no help at all.Had to wake up staff to complain about drunk patron playing loud music and screaming. Call front desk and got no answer and every time we called the front desk said to call cops and I told her that is her job and she said there is nothing she can do but file a report with her manager

Super 8 bad rooms and service

We decided to stay here as the year before we had stayed and had no problems. We checked in on July 10 and that same night my sister started to complain about how the room looked and felt. She said she had seen bugs, but I didn't. Her bed was completely sunken in the middle. She had asked the Manager to switch us to another room but that room was even worse. It was late and we had just drove 15 hours from Atlanta, so we stayed. I had a migraine and I went straight to sleep, so I really didn't notice anything. The next day though is when I noticed the bugs actually coming out of the bathroom faucet. We had to leave and My sister told the manager to have someone clean up and give us new sheets. When we came back nothings was done. She called the manager and said that shower needed to be cleaned. The manager said that it was late and that her onsite cleaning people were already asleep. My sister asked for cleaning supplies, but the rags that the manager brought actually had bugs on them also. My sister had to go out and purchase cleaning supplies to clean the bathtub and sink. She also had to get bug spray for the room. My sister was told someone that works there that the room should have never been rented out and should have been placed out of commission. Come to find out they have gone through multiple manager and staff.
My dad and my son were in another room and didn't seem to have a problem until the day we checked out. I noticed bumps all over my son's body. He had been bitten all over. I took photos of everything. My dad was going to stay longer in town so we were going to extend his stay. I went to use the bathroom in his room and right before I sat down I saw something on the wall moving. I looked closely and it was a bug. Looked like a tick or something. I took a video and photo of it. We checked him out that day as well. We didn't say anything to the manager because she truly didn't care and was going to put us in a room worse than the first one, so obviously didn't matter telling her. They were doing renovations last year but doesn't appear as if anything has been done. In fact it looked worse than last year.

Super 8 refund

I was driving home to ontario from new Brunswick when i decided to book a room in Cornwall with Super 8 hotel, when i was booking it online with trivago, i had noticed the dates for my stay were wrong, i clicked cancel but yet it still went through. I contacted expedia immediately(the site that i booked through) and was notified that my reservation was cancelled BUT i would be recieving no refund, this is infurating considering every other hotel will give you back a full refund within 24 hours of cancellation.

Super 8 unethical place to stay

This is no doubt the worst hotel I ever lived at. The receptionist looked like he did not want to work there and absolutely did not smile or direct us to where we should go at all. We had to ask and he seemed annoyed that we asked.
I booked non-smoking and the guy gave us a smoking room. We asked him about it and all he said was that the other non-smoking rooms were full and offered no apology or alternate solution whatever.
The elevator smelled like leaving a wet towel for a week in a hot car - It smelled so gross. A guy smoked in the elevator too and he quickly destroyed the cigarette when he saw us right in the elevator, which would easily cause fire!
The beds were full of bed bugs and it even was caught my friend's leg! The bathroom and the sink were also full of bugs. The room looked like no one cared to clean at all - very dirty and uncomfortable to live in.
We stayed for two nights yet the hotel card did not work the second night. The receptionist also offered no apology or justification for this.
Overall, it was a very awful experience for us who tried to enjoy a road trip. Super8 at this place deserved to be close down. I felt so betrayed and cheated from this whole staying situation.
Attached is the bed bug bite on my neck. There are more on my hands, legs, and arms.

Super 8 my stay

We came from out of town for a wedding booked the room online. For more than $100 a night I didn't expect to have this experience. The room smelled. The bathroom had nats in it. The toilet seat was broken and dirty. The color on the TV kept going in and out. The worst part was when I opened the shower curtain to take a shower and saw the bottom of the tub and the the hardware. This place is gross

Super 8 condition of rooms

Super 8 Corporate Offices:
We stayed at the Fairbanks, Alaska Super 8 on July 2, 3, and 4th checking out the morning of July 5. The first room they put us in (#105) the bed was so lumpy it hurt my back all night long. I could not sleep. It was literally lumpy. Also there was a hole in the back of the bathroom door like someone had rammed their fist into it. The room had a small table and a cloth seat chair. The seat of that chair was stained. The chain lock on the entry door to the room was broke completely off. The next day upon complaint to the manager they moved us to another room (#113). The bed in that room was somewhat better although not great. Also there was a towel on the hook on the back of the bathroom door from the previous guest and the chair in that room had a terrible stain on the seat of it as well. I took a shower in the evening and then watched TV and had a snack before bed. The next morning after having my coffee I started getting dressed. When I went to put my socks on my feet were filthy. I had to wash them before putting on my socks. The carpet and floor in that room were filthy. I've never stayed in a Super 8 that was this dirty.
Also, when we checked in we were going to pay for 3 nights but the clerk said we could pay for 2 nights and come back in Thursday morning and pay for the 3rd night.
Well, we did that and that 3rd night was $200. The other 2 nights had been $119. each night. What a way to stick it to you for a holiday.
The breakfast included was nothing more that raisin bran, white bread and coffee.
I had stayed in a Super 8 in Jefferson, Iowa, the end of May and it was a very clean room, comfortable beds and a wonderful, large selection of breakfast foods. And it was $75.00 a night.
I am not the type to complain. This is the first time I've ever written a complaint to a motel before. But I will tell you this...we were traveling with friends on this trip and their room was awful as well and they have also sent you a complaint. (A Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Parrish). The response he got from you mentioned their stay in Anchorage. He told us he didn't know where they got Anchorage from as we all had stayed in the Fairbanks Super 8 and that is what he stated in his complaint.
Well, I've gotten this off my chest. It was a very disgusting experience. Although we plan on returning to Alaska next year we won't be staying at this Super 8 again.

Super 8 service

On the 18th of July 2019 I stopped at Super 8 in Siketons Mo from driving 500 miles to rest until I finish my journey I hoped the next morning..my daughter who is 20 years of age attempted to purchase a room and the receptionist Tabitha told her she couldn't due to her age, well my daughter stated my mom can probably do it she's old enough! Tabitha replies you still can't get the room! I went in to get a explanation and before I can reach the desk she stated like I told your daughter I'm not renting a room to y'all and we get kids trying to rent and we decline and parents try certainly wasn't the case here on my part she misjudged me, rejected my services due to pass experience that had nothing to do with me.. and spoke to me in a unvalued way! I was hurt tied and my grandbaby is 3 weeks old and we had to travel 200 more miles to get a vacant hotel! I was totally dissatisfied and I highly wouldn't recommend any travelers to stop there I had a horrible experience

Super 8 the place being nasty

I booked in advance room is disgusting one washcloth that looked dirty roaches running along side of wall paid over 200.00 for my stay could've slept on a corner would've been cleaner and cheaper. Room 121
Faith lentz [protected]. Will not recommend this place to anyone as matter of fact will tell all my friends to stay far away from that place. I would really like to know is this the service you give your customer charge them fees for staying in dumps
Told clerk but nothing done about it. Things out of order around there like pop machine
Must not have vacuum because using broom to sweep the rugs. Really surely you're company can afford that.

Super 8 injury

I informed the front desk about an injury I had while staying in room 204 at above address. They said the manager would call me. This was 2 weeks ago. The injury happened July 2nd around 9 pm. I called Super 8 today July 12th and asked for there insurance information since the manager never called to ask how I was it anything. I got the run around and was told the manager would call. I was trying to avoid having to Get legal help. Would appreciate a response before further action is sought.

P.S My head, neck, shoulders, right knee and lower back was injured. Tub was slick as snot when I put my foot in it. I went flying backwards landed on my lower back, slammed the base of my head into the bathroom door so hard it threw it forward slammed my upper spine into the door which cracked out through both shoulders and the shower curtain rod slammed my right knee.

Super 8 super 8 in bloomington il

First the building stinks so bad it burns your throat when your in the halls. And now it's raining in our room. We are on top floor. Asked for a new room and he said I would have to wait until 10am to talk to someone about it. So we slept in a raining room. Not acceptable my stuff got wet and I'm not happy. And we are stuck here for 4 more nights. I hope you get new management in here, they are not doing their job. The pic attached is a whole in the ceiling where the water was coming in.

Super 8 bed bugs and unprofessional front desk agents

On June 27, 2019 my wife, daughter and myself checked ino the Super 8 motel in Kamloops BC Canada (visit was prebooked and paid for by reservations.com) I chose this motel because we have used it many times in the past. On this particular occassion however, it was a complete disaster, upsetting all three of us to the point that we will never - ever visit one of these establiments again. This motel needs a complete renovation (especially the mattress and bedding and carpets) and to be insepcted by a certified Health and Safety inspector prior to re-opening to the public, as well as the Staff and Management need to be re-trained on Hotel Management, Housekeeping and Customer Service before they drag down the name and reputation of the whole Super 8 chain of hotels. The conditions of this hotel are putting the public and animals (it is pet friendly) at risk to spread the bed bugs around.

We checked into the hotel (Room #115 for the record) and immediately opened a window in the room as the place smelled stale. We had been travelling all day so decided to grab a bite to eat. Upon return to the room we discovered stains on the bed sheets, and further investigated the underneath of the bed had someone else's garbage (eye drops) and a cardboard box that catches bed bugs, complete with dead bed bugs, and other insects stuck to it. We flipped the mattress to discover a broken bed frame, dirt and grime and disgusting stains on the bottom side of the mattress (evidently just flipped to cover it up over the years, these stains were old) We reported this right away to the front desk agent who calls himself Samneet. He promptly began filling us with excuses and telling us they had been recently cleared by a report and "bed bug free" - no surprise, they could not find said report. There was another Hotel agent as well, who never gave us his name, he also kept giving us excuses, and tried to tell us the box was not for bed bugs, and those were not bed bugs that we found. We asked him to stop talking, because he was not being truthful, and the excuses were not making any sense. We clearly saw the bugs, and showed them. They both dismissed the severity of the issue, and were non empathetic and didnt even apologise, or assist us with finding an alternate hotel (which took us an hour of driving around to do so) They suggested we A: move right next door to a vacant room, or B: wait in the lobby while hosuekeeping made up the room again? No thank you, this entire hotel needs attention!

Both of these hotel representatives were not interested in dealing with this in a professional or courteous manner, they came across as if we were bothering them. We let them know we wanted to leave, and began packing up. In the meantime they both barged back into the room, claiming they thought we were gone, and then tried to hurry us out as they wanted to re-rent the room. We took a video, and some photos of the condition of the room and the garbage left behind/not cleaned up, and the full bed bug box. The video is too large to attach, which is unfortunate but it is saved on our devices if we do need to share it to somebody, we can.

Prior to driving away, we had went back in to ask for a refund, and the two of them were actually putting the room together themselves, NOT housekeeping, or a professional fumigation company. Which leads us to believe this is how the place gets "cleaned" on a regualr basis. IE: Not at all. Only got a pet deposit of 10$ from the Staff onsite, and were directed to call expedia for the room charge refund. We have since done so and expedia and reservations.com took the matter very seriously and resolved it with a full refund.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I would appreciate a response to these concerns. We will also be reviewing and reporting this entire situation to the Health Authorities.

Upon my arrival I asked the desk clerk (male with pony tail) if he could give me a room, any room, with outside entrance because I had a motorcycle. I was told there was none available and received a room on the inside near pool below street level where I had to use and elevator and had no outside view at all. Being he told me he had nothing I took room. After a short time unloading my motorcycle to a cart and returning to move my motorcycle I notice 2 other quests just checked in on motorcycles, one moved his bike to an outside entrance room. I asked the other did you get and outside room he said yes, I asked did they have a reservation? He told me no we just pulled in to see if we could get a room. The desk clerk was standing near, I told him dude not cool. I am a wyndham member, you are supposed to try and give me a room of my choice if possible. Not only did you not do that you flat out lied to me and told me you didn't have what I wanted when you did. He answered well you got a better room. I said, no I got punished because I made my reservation through Wyndham and you already had my money. If I had just pulled up I would have gotten the room I wanted. Either way you lied to me, not cool... He quickly disappeared. The new guest with motorcycle that told me they just pulled up was hearing all this. He said to me that's just not right, if you want you can park your bike in front of our room and I will keep an eye on it for you. I stay at a lot of Super8s, Most are accommodating. Not this clerk, guess he never got caught red handed before but that upset me for my whole stay. As a mater of fact I was planning to stay at that location on my return trip but instead booked at the Stonegate Lodge next door because of this. Not a happy camper.. Super 8 customer service

I had been a guest at this location since May 16, 2019. I signed on as an extended stay guest. I ending up paying $406 per week for five weeks ($2030.00). I was rented a room on the first floor and almost immediately, I started to hear nonstop running back and forth coming from the level above me. This went on almost all day, every day since the onset of me lodging here. I had gone to the front desk several times about this issue and each time I was told lies by the staff. I asked if I could be moved to a different room. I asked "what measures as a company are you going to take to assist an unhappy paying guest when again, your mission statement says to provide a " friendly, clean, and simply super lodging experience "? He advised me that because I was already in the system as being in one room that he could not move me to another room. I asked for a discount ; he advised that because I was already billed at a discounted rate, that he could not provide a discount. I later learned that it was the front desk staff's family creating the noise. They all live there and they cover and lie for each other.
Some of the other issues that Id encountered since my stay here were the following : almost always, there is no one at the front desk; and even after ringing the bell, it still can take several minutes before someone appears; when the housekeeping comes to clean room, they do not clean out the microwave or the bathtub; they do not vacuum floors; my room is supposed to be a non-smoking room, however, I've never inhaled so much smoke in my life. I not only can smell cigarette smoke but marijuana smoke as well. The wi-fi and cable works half of the time. One day, while putting on my shoe, a spider crawled out from inside of my shoe. There are mechanical problems with both the main door to the room and the bathroom door. One day, the fire alarm went off, and when I went to investigate, I saw that in the room where they house the towels, water was all over the floor and water was coming from the sprinklers on the ceiling; there are issues where the pressure with the toilet is off. I reached out to both Super 8 Corporate and Wyndham Corporate and they did absolutely nothing. Don't ever stay here!

Super 8 housekeeping/manager/supervisor/unauthorized charge

We had the worst experience staying at super 8 Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada. We arrived on June 21, checked out June 23. We stayed in room 301, which was a pet room. We had a dog. When we entered the room for the first time, we noticed RIGHT away, there was stains on the carpet. we stayed our two nights, and checked out. After a couple of hours, they phoned, missed the call, never left a message or attempted to call back. I got a hold of them and they stated that the dog made a pet stain on the carpet and our credit card was charged for a cleaning fee. However, they did not have permission or approval or talked to the cardholder to place these charges. I have been on the phone and computer constantly trying to talk to a manager who never seems to be working or doesn't come to the phone.
I am beyond upset at how this matter is being handled. When we checked out, they were't even going to charge for a pet. Being the honest person I am, spoke up and said there was a dog. so she put through another charge. Then the hotel comes back and calls me a liar, that those stains were from our dog (which by the way, the dog was in a kennel while we were gone, and never left a lone on the carpet ) and will not reverse the charges. I have never dealt with managers or supervisors so incapable of doing their actual job. House keeping is pretty much non existant. The closet door track had about an inch of dirt, behind the dresser where all the cords and outlets were was a horrendous amount of dust. and the carpets were disgusting, bathtub stained yellow. No one seems to be trying to resolve this issue. Super 8 is THE ABSOLUTE WORST MOTEL I have ever stayed in, in my life.

i have always made a point to check for bed
bugs before i stay in a hotel which i did just that and found bed bugs in the room to find out that my niece stayed in this hotel also 2 years go and got bedbugs from the same hotel! some one needs to look into this problem it needs to be address!

Super 8 nasty facilities

The lady was not polite at all when I called asking for directions to facility and actually chuckled at me for ending up at the dead end then back onto the interstate. When we booked the room we asked for handicap room due to my wife's trouble of climbing stairs with her lupus. The room was very musty smelling and nasty looking carpets. Had to turn on a plug strip to make the TV, microwave and refrigerator work. This is our last bad experience with your chain of hotel just like everyone else all the motel 8 people are out for is the money and not customer satisfaction. The bath mat on the tub was wet

Super 8 condition of room and customer service

We checked into our room at about 1AM Friday June 6th 2019 and were there till the 11th. Our room was filthy dirty. There were little hairs all over the bathroom sink area and in the shower/tub. There was sticky stuff all over the floor. There wasn't a trash can in our room. We found live roaches every day. My sister woke up to a roach crawling on her arm. The AC didn't seem to be working right so we called the front desk and they said they would send someone to check it out and never did. There was trash piled up on the ground out side of our room. Customer service was horrible. We asked for extra pillows and blankets and were told there weren't any. We also asked for some extra washcloths and we were only given one. We didn't complain during our stay for fear of not getting our $50 cash deposit back. By far the worst experience ever. We would like a refund please.

Super 8 deposit scam

On May 16th, 2019 I took a lady that works for us to the Super 8 hotel in Metropolis, Illinois. She was a victim of domestic violence in her home, and I got her 3 night to stay. When checking in the clerk at the desk told me if I go through Expedia I could get the room cheaper. So I did. I was also told since the guest was a resident of Metropolis, that I would have to put down a $100 cash only deposit. It would be returned after check out. I agreed. After two weeks I went back to the Super 8 to inquire about my deposit. I assumed it would be put on my credit card that I used to pay for the room. After talking with the clerk, I was told that the deposit was returned to the guest. He stated that they are not allowed to keep the cash at the hotel or they would be fired. I called the lady I put up and she stated she did not know anything about the deposit, which I did not tell her, and that she checked out leaving her keys in the room with housekeeping. She did not go to the front desk and just left. After telling the clerk she would not lie about getting the deposit he said he would talk to the manager. I waited on the manager to return. The "owner" returned and I told him the story and that I assumed it would be returned to my card. He stated that deposit is held for 24 hours after check out and it not picked up it is forfeited to the hotel. I told him that was not a way to do business with other business owners of the community. I also told him that he had a copy of my drivers license, by credit card, and knew the business I own and could of called, mailed or reached out in any other way regarding my deposit. He refused to return it and said very rudely that is the rules. I was not informed at check in that I had 24 hours to retrieve my deposit or that it would not be put on my card. In a small community it is very wrong to do business this way but a great way for him to pocket money that I know did not go towards the hotel. As a small community I will let EVERYONE know how business is handled there and will NOT recommend the Super 8 to anyone who visits our town. As a member of the Chamber of Commerce I WILL make sure all Chamber Members are aware of this and will do my best to have them removed from any business pages in our town. Below I am attaching a picture of the clerk that was adamant that the deposit was picked up by the guest I put up.
